Poor Customer Service

WARNING! WARNING! Do buy from Conn’s furniture!!! I purchased a mattress from Conn’s in 2020, the mattress had a 1 yr warranty on it. (I did not purchase a protection plan). Last week I noticed that the spring broke through the mattress on both sides. I contacted Conn’s and they explained to me the warranty had expired. Fine! But this is a manufacture defect! They sent a Tech to my home to look at the mattress. Long story short I called to today to see what the outcome was. CLAIM DENIED!!! I was told that even had I purchased a protection plan it would not have been covered. Why???? Because my account was paid off and closed! I spent over an hour trying to get some resolution but to no avail. With all the prompts you have to go through and the people that claim to help you, they all said the same thing…I’m sorry. Is there anything else I can help you with? Hell no! This Serta mattress should have lasted longer than 2 yrs! Customer Service is LOUSY!! And so is Conn’s!

Don’t expect much customer service beyond delivery

They make you go through hoops if there is anything wrong with your delivery, especially if u buy a $25 dryer cord at Home Depot that they sell for $40 at Conn’s. They will refuse to install your appliance if u bought parts anywhere else and then tell u they can’t send a tech to see what’s wrong with your appliance after u install it yourself because they didn’t install it. Had to go through the store and have a manager arrange a tech to visit through corporate. I was Leary about doing business with Conns based on all these negative reviews, but Conns itself is a decent to average experience from the pov of a consumer purchase from a store. The problem lies with service after the purchase. They come up with all these things saying they can’t service u because of this or that so if u buy the extended warranty u just wasted your money if u bought parts elsewhere.

WORST Experience OF ALL TIME in 2022

WORST Experience in 2022! CHEAP IS VERY EXPENSIVE. so called credit $5,000 = 95.45% on top of your cash item price AFTER 90 days. They will NOT tell you about it, it's called HIDDEN LEASING FEE! BE WARNED BE AWARE SAVE YOUR MONEY. Dont fall for it!

We were attracted with $5,000 credit application thinking we are going to save as we grow our little family, little did we knew that we are going into a trap and a lifestyle debt scam which we never planned for!

We went to the store in Charlotte because of the so called applying for "credit worth $5,000 to be approved. "When we were referred to conns store in charlotte. Ones approved my wife, and I didn't know that we were going into "a scam" unplanned budget with enticed hidden DEBT so called hidden leasing fees of each $9457.28 to pay after 90 days elapsed that will be added on top of our cash item price that each of us spent in the store.

In my case for example after 90 days cash item price $4214.90 was expired and automatically i entered into plus debt called" leasing fees of "$9457.28 to be charged into my account so my total debt is $14,472.12 with conns/american finance the lesser.

Remember I just went to purchase items only worth $4,214.90 and ended up with a debt to pay of $14,472.12 unplanned debt, still in shock to date yet we are still in recovery pandemic season trying to catch up from losses and stress pandemic season costs.

At the same time God had just blessed us with Twin girls? so we are still in great shock which debt as we are taking care of our little ones with unplanned hidden leasing fees, how long each of us will take to clear this scam?

Remember also that at the store they calculated and gave us biweekly payments of $273.25 each which we are committed to be paying biweekly to clear our initial cash item price $4214.90 plus any taxes that are added to each accounts, sub totaling to $5,334.80 each which we thought was my debt to clear when given iPad to sign they never mentioned to us or me that the leasing fees will be added after 90 days elapse of $10,000 each will be added to our cash item price after 90 days to the both accounts.

If we could have read that we are sure, we couldn't had signed that iPad paperwork. THEY NEVER SHOWED US that section of the leasing fees Infact a fool of the lowest fool couldn't sign that iPad paperwork if they had showed us the leasing fees after 90 days. We could never go on with the purchase.

If conns/american finance told us that after 90 days a leasing fees will be charged to each account totaling to $10,000 extra after 90 days, we couldn't never sign or applied for the so called $5,000 credit.

CHEAP IS EXPENSIVE it has hit home.

Kindly if you go to any conns stores before signing those iPads ask them and let them show you the total sum of the so-called LEASING FEES before signing or else you will be crying just as us still in great shock to be paying hidden leasing fees $20,000 on top of our cash item price that we were not told about.

I was approved for $ 5,000 credit to spend at the store just as my wife too however this was a big scam, and a life regrates! We wish we knew better. We SHALL NEVER refer anyone to CONNS stores with the lessor so called American finance to turn our names.

My wife and I each have a debt with conns / american finance of $14,472.12 each to clear.

my wife is $14472.12
total debts$28,944.24 for just for FEW furniture that could have cost us each $4214.90 times 2 = $8,429.80 so conns /american finance will be taking $20,000 from us yet we only went to get approved for credits worth $5,000 each?

From $5,000 credit approval i will be paying $10,000 extra as a hidden leasing fees after 90 days yet i pay my biweekly payments the same amount they gave me in the store after themselves calculating the figures to be paying so as my wife, so my debt is no longer $5,000 but $15,000 what a scam!

Pls BEAWARE BEFORE TAKING CONNS CREDITS!!! from a concern client with conns/american finance that's my review and experience with them? still in distress and shock with unbelieve.

NB: The customer care department individuals that i spoke to and my wife spoke too were not listening to our concerns. They are worst and very worst never want to listen to customer's concern.

Purchased 4K sofa and recliner

Purchased 4K sofa and recliner , one year later leather couch was peeling, when i contacted Conns they told me i didn’t get the warranty and I’m stuck with the peeling furniture.

Worst experience ever

Worst experience ever! We purchased a set of couches a love seat and a sofa, I received them on 04/05/22 and the love seat felt defective the recliner on the right side didn't rock as smoothly as the one on the left side. So I sent it back and kept the sofa because I was advised I would get another one delivered on 04/07 that worked correctly.

4/07 I get the new love seat and it seemed fine so I signed off on it. 30-45 minutes into sitting on it, it started squeaking and rubbing against the center console. They sent out a tech that same day and he HIMSELF deemed the love seat defected. Curtis the tech called Blanca at the warehouse had her on speaker and she said she couldn't take any notes because she was leaving but she would call me the next day 04/08. I never heard back from her! I called the sales rep Eric at the Cockrell hill location and was advised that he and manager Luis would work on it, and would get me a refund/exchange for a different set. (since this set apparently is defected, this is the second love seat they bring defected) what can guarantee me the 3rd one wont be defected or start having issues hours or days after I receive it!

Today is 04/11 and to this day I have not heard anything from anyone. I called Customer service and was advised that she sees an email where the warehouse is saying to reach out to the store. I called the store on 3way with the customer service rep and Luis stated he has no control over it. That they are waiting on a response from Jojo That this goes above him and since I signed off on it that, that's the reason its taking so long for a response. (at this point I feel like they are trying to make me responsible for something that is defective, I would of never accepted it if it wasn't working right as soon as I got it). At this time I just want them to pick up their cheaply made couches and never shop with them again. I have contacted my synchrony acct and started a dispute. I have contacted customer service, and was advised they would be escalating an email to a department above customer service! This is very sad and disappointing, I am having to turn away guest and family from my house because I don't want anyone to sit on the couches.

They were so FAST to send a tech same day the claim was made! But no one can reply back on when they can pick these couches up! Worst furniture store I have ever shopped at!

The furniture that they bring you is not the furniture they have at their showrooms. Like someone said below in a review, THEY REALLY HOLD UP TO THEIR NAME CONNS! DONT SHOP HERE! SEEMS LIKE THEY COULD CARE LESS ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS HAPPINES.

the worst place to buy is that store…

the worst place to buy is that store located in the chopin plaza of horizon park in hillsborouhg and dale meabry, very bad attention they do not explain that you cannot change or return and that they charge you a fee of 18 percent and the products come with defects, In general, not even the supervisor can give an answer, what they told me is that the person who sold me the products no longer works there, without a doubt the worst place I do not recommend it to anyone

They have yet to fix the problem with…

They have yet to fix the problem with my washer. I'm on the 2nd one that has the same problem as the
1ST one did. Plus the door latch is broken. They had yet to address the problem. Can't get any satisfaction with the number to call. So I'll let everyone know online. They kept sending repair out but it needs replacing. I just want money back now.
My payment is due. I will not be paying for it.

Very Dishonest Company

I was delivered a chest of drawers and everything seemed fine. I got a damp cloth to wipe off the hand prints, and when i wiped across the front of the drawer the paint came off. There was a dent and they covered it with paint. I called and they said too bad you signed for it. They knowingly gave me damaged furniture! Do not buy from Them in Florida! They do not stand behind there products or care about there customers! Intentionally defrauding the customer is a very deceitful and dishonest way to conduct business!

Brand New Sectional came ruined and they refused to bring us a new one…

We bought a new sectional that came with a hole on the arm rest where the material comes together. I called the same day (I was at work when it was delivered), when I got home to let them know, they refuse to replace it stating "they do not return furniture". We are very disappointed and will never use them again. They definitely live up to their name on this one.

Tonight my husband and I went to the Conns at Metro where the manager, daniel chavez, was blarring heavy metal music. We were unable to hear the sales man while asking questions about a dishwasher. Very unprofessional

I am writing this review in regards to the Financial Department. If you are a Client and Customer of Conns Home Furniture, You need to READ THIS NOW.

I want to WARN YOU that if you get approved for a Credit Product Called "Retail installment contracts at Conn’s HomePlus" You need to be aware that if you accept this purchase line of credit, that you will be subject to an interest rate of appx 35.00 percent. Your approval will be valid for approximately 3 weeks and during that time you will need to make your purchase.

Once the purchase is complete, you will receive something called a "Payment Book" in the mail. You will notice that the amount that you are instructed to pay from the payment book IS NOT THE CORRECT AMOUNT TO ESTABLISH PAYMENT IN FULL WITHIN 12 MONTHS. This is important because the way that the data is presented, shows that you have a specific payment due on a specific date.

You will also notice that if you make the payments pursuant to the payment book exactly as requested, that you will NOT HAVE PAID YOUR ACCOUNT OFF IN FULL, and you are subject to a 4,000 backcharge (on a 5,000 loan) retroactive to the date of the transaction.

The ONLY WAY THAT YOU SHOULD EVER ACCECT THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT IS IF YOU CAN PAY THE ACCOUNT IN FULL.

As you know, we litigate in Federal Court on a Daily Basis. This type of conduct must be reviewed by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, as the Fifth Circuit has ruled that these types of arrangements with consumers do not hold up under the "Least Sophisticated Consumer" Provision of the Law.

Today we called the number listed on the "Payment Book" and were routed to an INDIA CALL CENTER where we spoke to a collector named Annand and his manager Saurabh. They were told on a recorded line (NEVER EVER SPEAK TO THESE PEOPLE UNLESS YOU RECORD THE CALLS) that they were prohibited from contacting me for any reason.

The bottom line is this. If you find that you are a victim of this scam, we want to hear your story.

We will update this thread on all of our national feeds and platforms as things develop.

Conns, You have been warned. This type of usury is injurious to the American Public and we are going to ensure that you are clear on our position.

CEO to CEO- Conns Las Vegas- The Experience

Hello Team!

I wanted to take a moment and provide a very detailed review regarding my experience with Conns Home Furnishings in Las Vegas Nevada.

I recently bought a new condo and needed some awesome furniture. I went to the Conns Website and quickly got approved for a large line of credit. Within about an hour of being approved, I got a phone call from Mr. Robert Bocellari Jr., personally inviting me to come into the store. That impressed me a lot.

Over the next two months, I had to travel for work, so I did not get in to see him. However last Sunday I popped into the store and he knew who I was! Wow! So I decided that this was a place that I felt comfortable shopping with. Over a 2 1/2 hour period we went row by row through the store.

The day of delivery came and it went flawless… just a mixup on Gas vs Electric for the Dryer. So tomorrow, with the help of Mr.Pedro Marrufo, A Senior manager, I am lol set for a new dryer install.

Those of you who know me understand that I rarely post like this, but when given exceptional service, I use my worldwide corporate media platforms to share my findings.

PRO TIP 1- If you get approved for the CONNS IN STORE CREDIT, be sure to ask for 12 months same as cash. I read every legal document and noticed that on a 5000 purchase, that if you are given a specific date to get it paid in full… do it… or you will receive a 4500 interest back charge. To me this is all free money, as we will easily pay off the balance in full in 6 months. If you do not get an option for 12 months same as cash…. Look for other financing. The base rate is over 35.95 Percent. So your 5000 purchase will end up costing 9,246.00. (You have heard our worldwide podcasts on Apple Google and Everywhere podcasts are heard.

PRO TIP 2- Listen Closely. YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO PURCHASE THE CREDIT LIFE AND DISABILITY INSURANCE —- It is VERY COSTLY. Before you go sign your documents, grab a copy of your Home Owners Or Renters Policy. If you have any issues, feel free to reach out to me and I can help you!

PRO TIP 3- ONLY USE ROBERT BOCELLARI AS YOUR SALESMAN- IF HE IS NOT THERE OR PEDRO IS GONE- LEAVE AND COME BACK. (Tell them you Read this from Rob Paisola)

CONNS is a rip-off!

CONNS is a rip-off!! Do not use this company. I purchased items and got to the end of my payment book meaning this was the last payment, and then I was advised they calculate interest daily, so my actual payoff is another $500 and not what the book shows!! this should have been factored into the payment quoted. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST!!!!

was a previously satisfied customer. bought appliances 5 years ago and delivery guys installed them. This time new appliance delivered and delivery guys tell me another person installs it. sales rep said nothing. now i have to wait 2 days for my $180 install. stay away.

Similar to everyone else. Purchased a $5,000 bedroom set for next day delivery. Driver shows up with set unpackaged and tried to bring it in the rain. It was a cloth upholstered set, rain would do damage. Contacted the store and was told "go outside and give him some blankets to cover it". I paid $170 for delivery and i have to damage my own blankets. We rescheduled for the next day and the driver shows up and this time they bought a display model from what i was told that had black sharpie marker on the cloth. I asked for a brand new set, not a display model. The driver asked me to sign a waiver releasing him of any liability of the damaged furniture which i chose not to do. You brought it to my house with marker on it. They tell me we will come back in 2 days with a brand new set. At this point, i cancelled the order and went to gallery furniture. Set was bought to my house within an hour and free delivery. Will be my first and last time using this company.

Purchased over 7000.00 worth of items

Purchased over 7000.00 worth of items. Refrigerator,washer,dryer,living room set. This was a contract base purchase for 12 months at no interest. Payed 11 months on the 1 day of each month. The payment was schedule for the 10 of each month but wanted no problem with payment not going thru, just in case. Went over to the store for my last payment and asked for the payoff amount. They said I owed 2700.00 in interest but if I payed all now it would be 2500.00. I told them that this was on a set contract no interest if payed in full at 12 months . And the run around started. You have to call this number they will tell you the amount you owe. I called and was moved from one person to another then another and then they disconected me. I went to the manager at the store and told them again that I needed the last payment amount. He said I cannot give you an amount because it is not exactly they will charge you the full interest even if it is off by a cent. So I would have to pay 2700.00 in interest. I called again and they could only say to call back on in 2 days and they would have more information. I told the manager that I did not think this was the only time that they had done ghus type of contract sale because it is in their website as one of 3 different types of purchase options. How is this possible that they would not have the correct information. The people that I called all 3 said the same thing that I owed 2700.00 dks in interest. This is bad in many ways they stant for a con gob . If not resolved I will call police to get this situation in a case number to file in court. For decitduous practices and false advertising.

Don't trust anything they tell you

Don't trust anything they tell you. I decided to buy a refrigerator on Thu after talking to two sales reps who told me that it would be delivered on Sat. I ended up making the purchase on their website, which said it would be delivered on Sun. After completing the sale, nobody ever contacted me about a delivery schedule. I called on Fri to make sure the order went through and the rep verified that it would be delivered on Sun. On Sat, I still had not received any contact about a delivery schedule so I called back again and was told that I would receive a delivery time by 8pm that evening. Here is is on Sun morning at 10:30am and still haven't heard anything from them. I called once again, and this time got a rep who told me that it would NOT be delivered today because they haven't even processed the order yet. Obviously, NOBOBY here knows what's going on since none of the previous employees could see that the order wasn't being processed?? I cancelled the order and I'll get it from another company who is more dependable. Don't buy anything from these people!

I do not recommend getting anything…

I do not recommend getting anything from Conns. When it comes to the credit part they are the devil. I had 2 accounts with them first account I paid on time and even paid it off early. Second account I was late a couple of times because I was diagnosed with MS and couldn’t work due to me not being able to walk. I sent them an letter and wrote the CEO explaining my situation and asked could they please remove the late payments and they called me and said ‘Even though we understand what you were going through and we are very sorry this happened to you, we cannot remove the late payments’. They are not very understanding of people and their situations. They lied.
