Item posted on the 27th January 2026…

Item posted on the 27th January 2026 and has been stuck in a loop and bouncing between around 20 sorting facility's for the last 65 days, I have raised six inquires for the parcel to be intercepted and the label to be checked and see why it was not proceeding to destination...
I was advised to try and redirect it as that would force it to be removed from the line and a new label placed on it, this did not work...
I was given a manager which I was told would call within 48 hours, They did call but unfortunately they decided to do the one ring and hang up
trick (I had the phone in my hand looking at it when they called and still could not answer in time) and then proceed to send me a email stating they had tried
to call me multiple time but I didn't answer(They called twice as per my phone log) and then stated it should be there by 30th March but if it doesn't turn up
by the 15th April give them a call and they will look into it ..
The parcels can not be listed as missing so I can get a refund as every time it is scanned at a facility it updates the date to a new date, my first due date was
the 4th February …
This is incompetence's at it's finest to go to around twenty sorting facility's all over Australia and have no one able to rectify the problems is mind boggling,
Australia post what a joke...Do Better...
Compensation should be offered to not only lost or damaged items but also to people that have spent hours on the phone repeating the same story over and over again and asking post offices if they could help and time refreshing apps to see where in Australia the item is going to turn up today ...
Item turned up on the 31th March to the original address so they didn't even get the redirection right ...

Apalling customer service.

Appalling customer service and lack of accountability. On two occasions in the past few months, delivery was attempted without any notification card being left. The only correspondence I received was an “Urgent Reminder,” by which point the parcel was already being returned to the sender - giving me no chance to collect it.

I also have the app installed, but the parcel wasn’t registered, so I received no digital notifications either. Customer service was unhelpful and did not offer a solution.

As a result, I now have to contact the sender to arrange redelivery and wait even longer for the parcel to arrive - if it arrives at all.

I recommend avoiding for a positive customer experience

I recommend avoiding for a positive customer experience.

Please be aware that under the banner of a new environmental initiative Australia Post no longer leave missed parcel notifications. It is now the recipients responsibility to monitor the parcel delivery via the app or website.

It is my experience that Australia Post:
- rarely, if ever, use the doorbell
- seldom knock
- often leave parcels at the frontdoor facing the street even when there is a secure and well signed parcel box
-practice is now to return the parcel to a local post office without leaving notification of a missed delivery.

AWFUL service

AWFUL service. The man who helped us at the store by QVB was SO RUDE, gave us the wrong instructions several times, and refused to help us because he wanted to end his shift even after making us stand there for almost an hour. Will not be coming back.

Delivery & Customer Service Sucks!!! - 137 678 and 0387714859

I had a very disappointing experience with Australia Post customer service. The staff seemed unprepared to handle customer-related issues and were unable to provide clear or helpful solutions. It felt like there was a lack of proper training and professionalism in dealing with queries and cases. I believe there is a need for better-qualified and more knowledgeable staff to ensure customers receive the support they deserve. I found the level of support provided to me was highly unsatisfactory and unfair. This resulted in unnecessary frustration and a lack of confidence in the service being provided by Australia Post.

In addition to my previous concerns about inadequate customer support, I am extremely concerned about what appears to be misleading delivery conduct. On multiple occasions, parcels have been marked as “Attempted Delivery,” supported by a photo and GPS location data. However, no effort or delivery was actually attempted, and no parcel was received even though I was waiting all day for my packages. While Australia Post records may indicate that the driver was present at the location, this does not reflect the reality of the situation.

Furthermore, I urge Australia Post to improve both call centre staff and logistics delivery training, as well as overall service standards, to ensure customers receive reliable and professional service.

Auspost delivery times make snails look fast.

Will make this short as I am sure literally every person has similar issues with Auspost. First this has happened multiple times in less then 2 months. I have a parcel that was due here last Friday to this Monday. It made it to Newcastle NSW on Thursday about 6AM only about 10- 15 minutes from me. Well its Tuesday and still no item and when I called them it was a chore to even speak to a human. The girl I spoke to was sweet but had zero information beyond what I could see. In no normal post does it take less time to get things from overseas then it does from only 15 minutes away. People are better off using a good courier and avoiding Auspost.

I ordered a filter from eBay with signature-on-delivery service. However, the item was left unattended at my front door without obtaining a signature. When I checked after receiving the delivery notification, the item was no longer there.
For deliveries requiring a signature, the correct procedure is to obtain a signature from the recipient. If the recipient is unavailable, a card should be left so the item can be collected from the post office.
In this case, the proper process was not followed, and as a result, the item has been lost.

Unprofessional and useless

They are a national postage service. More than half of my items are undelivered citing safety issues. Apparently letterboxes and doors are safety issues. The door to the unit door is left open, delivery is more than possible and is flawless by amazon or sendle, but auspost is fkn useless. Today they posted a picture of a letter box, saying they couldn't deliver a single box of loose leaf tea...to a letterbox. Auspost is completely done. I have to go to the local post office to get my packages, because they won't deliver.

Honestly not sure why anyone uses…

Honestly not sure why anyone uses Auspost for anything.
Why does my parcel need to go to 3-4 different sorting depos in metro Sydney?

Estimated shipping times are almost always wrong and keep changing to further dates. When inquiring about any issue the customer service gives the most vague responses.

Absolutely horrendous.

Absolutely horrendous.

Would not recommend ever using. Just use independent post or something else. Paid for express delivery on medication. Package has gone from Brisbane to 4 different locations in Sydney (my location). Then to canberra to 3 different locations then back to Sydney. Great in a fuel crisis. And now they are telling me it's just going around in circles.

Auspost needs a management overview by government

I’ve honestly never experienced a delivery service as frustrating and unreliable as Australia Post. What should be a simple process—sending and receiving parcels—turns into a drawn-out guessing game every single time.

The tracking system is an absolute joke. Updates are either completely inaccurate or so vague they’re useless. A parcel can sit in “in transit” for days (or weeks) with no explanation, then suddenly jump to “out for delivery” with no warning. Sometimes it claims an item is delivered when it clearly isn’t, leaving you scrambling to figure out where it actually went. The lack of real-time accuracy defeats the entire purpose of having tracking in the first place.

Delays have become the norm rather than the exception. Express post means nothing anymore—it’s just standard delivery with a higher price tag. Parcels regularly miss expected delivery dates without any proactive communication or accountability. If something goes wrong, you’re left chasing customer service, only to receive generic responses that don’t address the issue.

Customer support itself is another headache. It’s slow, unhelpful, and often feels like they’re reading from a script rather than actually trying to resolve your problem. There’s no sense of urgency, even when items are lost or significantly delayed.

For a national postal service, the lack of consistency, transparency, and reliability is incredibly disappointing. At this point, using Australia Post feels like a gamble—you might get your parcel on time, or you might be stuck in tracking limbo with no answers.

Overall, it’s a frustrating experience from start to finish, and a service that seriously needs government overview and improvement. Remember that we the taxpayers are funding this useless service.

Disgrace

Had 2 deliveries arriving on the same day. Received notice on both "Tried to deliver. Locked gate. Taken to Post Office. There is no gate. We have a glass front door with an intercom for the apartments. The driver lacked enough education on how to operate the intercom. Still easy to take photo of intercom panel as supposedly proof of delivery but not make contact as it was 5.00pm and the Post Office locally closes. Absolute disgrace.

Absolute joke, didn't even knock!

Paid extra for Express Post and it still took a week to arrive. I was home all day waiting, but the driver didn't even bother to ring the doorbell. Just tucked a "we missed you" card into the letterbox and drove off. Now I have to drive to the LPO myself to pick it up. This happens every single time. Why do we even pay for delivery if they won't actually deliver? Australia Post is getting worse by the day. Total waste of money.

criminials

e.g. my parcel from Canada arrived in Sydney, insted of going to me 70 kilometers away.It was send to Finland! then sent back to me.8weeks.Australian post said the address was not clear- they should have said, they can't read. lately my mail from Sweden has not arrived to me, excuss - because any thing rigid in envelope the sorting machine will not handle so the letters are discarded or lost.more like contents stolen.
