Disappointed ordered 6 gifts as xmas presents
I ordered 6 gifts as xmas presents, they all came boxed together so now i have to seperate them into 6 gifts which looks cheap and uninspiring - could have been packaged much nicer.

Thank you for the review. I'm sorry to hear you were disappointed with the packaging of the 6 different bottles of cocktail you ordered.
We use super strong, 100% recyclable cardboard packaging to ship all of our cocktails in a single parcel to ensure they arrive in the same perfect condition they left us, all with minimal impact on the environment.
Each bottle is sold as pictured - an individual bottle, just as you would pick up off of a supermarket shelf. It's not possible to gift box each individual bottle without charging an excessive premium, and we don't advertise this anywhere either. A lot of orders are not gifts too and automatically gift boxing each individual bottle would cause a lot of waste. Even if we offered this option, we were not left any notes from you saying these were gifts.
We do however sell gift boxes which you can find on our website. These are luxury, branded magnetic closure boxes filled with wood wool and can be filled with a combination of cocktails and accessories. These are sold as an optional extra. If you'd like to purchase some then please get in contact with me directly at georgegreenhalgh@cocktailsathomeuk.com and I'd be happy to arrange the sale.
Alternatively, If you are still not happy with your order let me know and I can arrange a return and full refund.

Great for poolside cocktail party
We had some of the “Cocktails at home “ products at the Minety Music Festival . They were lovely . My wife especially liked the Expresso Martini!
So, for our family weekend away, for our 70th birthdays, we purchased four 1l bottles . Everyone enjoyed the cocktails at our poolside cocktail party.
Thoroughly recommend these cocktails!

We're sorry to hear that our Pornstar Martini wasn't to your liking. This is certainly one of our sweetest cocktails but it is intentionally this way, being very forward with vanilla and tangy passionfruit. We did recently receive a Great Taste award for this cocktail from the Guild Of Fine Food.
With regards to the preparation, it is certainly best to shake hard with ice for approximately 10 seconds to allow the drink to become ice cold and dilute fully. This ensures the flavours aren't too overpowering. If you are ever unsure about the perfect way to serve our cocktails, you can visit the product page or simply scan the QR code on the bottle.
We'd hate for you to view our company as only 2 stars based on just 1 of our 55 cocktails and would love to have the opportunity to change this to 5 stars (low scores really do hurt a small business like ours). They arrived next day well packed only downside I found they were very expensive compared to other companies selling they same thing over £70 for 6 small bottles and garnish ,just as expensive as pub prices

We do appreciate that we are not the cheapest pre-mixed cocktails on the market - and we would love to be able to reduce our prices - but for what we provide we simply can’t do that at this moment in time I’m afraid. However, we do believe that we offer exceptional value for money and if you have 5 minutes spare, I’d like to take the time to explain why.
Firstly, I just wanted to make you aware that for 6 of our small bottles (each small bottle is 2 full size, full strength servings so a total of 12 cocktails) we offer a bundle price for £59.99 vs the £65.94 you paid.
You can also get 15% off if you subscribe to our mailing list. That comes to £4.25 for a pre-mixed, authentic, bar quality cocktail which is much cheaper than a comparable cocktail from a city centre bar. Each cocktail has at least a double shot of premium, branded spirit and comes with its assigned garnish too. And you can make further savings with our larger bottles, bringing it down to just £3.36 a serving. There's no other companies offering a range of cocktails close to ours, and if you manage to find ones that taste okay, they don't beat us on price.
With regards to the extra £4.99 for shipping, we again have made this as cheap as possible for our customers. The postage actually costs us about £10. This includes a couple of pound for the super secure, plastic free packaging, and nearly £8 for next day delivery using DPD. We only charge £4.99 for delivery as huge companies who get cheaper rates have made us smaller businesses look expensive for charging any more than that. If you add an extra cocktail or two to your basket though, we do offer this shipping completely free on all orders over £70.
Also, by paying that little bit extra you allow us to be a living wage employer, make regular donations to charity, be carbon neutral, offer secure plastic free packaging, and offer a quality nationwide delivery service with our shipping partner DPD.
After all that, our profit margins are really slim. This is because we can't get our alcohol or ingredients much cheaper than you can get from the supermarket. Again as a small business we just simply don't have the buying power like larger companies.
I hope that helps explain what we offer and the reasoning behind our prices a bit better. We do appreciate your custom and your feedback, and we hope you’ll give us another chance at some point in the future.
