Horrible elevator music.
I have been with this bank 25 years. They bailed me out when I needed some money when other banks did not. Today they bail me out when I buy dodgy stuff on Facebook. This is the bank that had the crystal meths chairman and they have strong ethical policies I do not like but this bank helped me so much over the years I will not go anywhere else with my money. In addition, I can get a human to speak to in a minute or so. Their elevator music is horrible though.

REASSURED ME RE SCAMS
i believe i had received a scam fishing text stating my bank account had been compromised as it stated a payment of 200 to an electrical retailer contacted bank and they quickly told me to ignore the text as they would never contact me in that way they reassured me no money was taken and gave advice re how to spot a scam and sent a detailed email with advice

Prompt at answering internal email queries and friendly staff, but has a two-day delay for payments from a Co-operative bank account to show in a Co-operative credit card.

Good bank as long as you don't need a human.
They are a good bank, except if you need to reach them by phone. The branch I used has closed. Once again I have the issue of an account I am trying to pay not getting verified by them and it is at least 15 minutes to talk to someone. I guess I will have to go back to using cheques...hope the switch to Coventry does not make it worse.

Decided to switch
Decided to make the switch to Co-operative Bank after seeing the offers from them and Coventry Building Society. The incentives were a considered bonus. It seems to have taken a long time to complete the switch which has left me in a kind of limbo. I'm hoping my experience improves once the account is fully operational.
