Decided to switch
Decided to make the switch to Co-operative Bank after seeing the offers from them and Coventry Building Society. The incentives were a considered bonus. It seems to have taken a long time to complete the switch which has left me in a kind of limbo. I'm hoping my experience improves once the account is fully operational.

New ISA
Took out a new ISA and was helped by Suky at Romford Branch. I prefer to deal with a real person than online as being older I find it easier. She was very patient and took time to explain every step thoroughly. A pleasant experience.

Sincere thanks to one special young lady on your staff!
After making a mistake in attempting to order goods from a fake supplier, I received a text from the bank.This informed me about the potential threat facing me. I was asked to phone the bank (who had put a stop on my debit card). The young lady who spoke to me was so helpful, and aware that she was speaking with an older customer in his 80's. I have nothing but praise for this lady, and she has my sincere thanks for attending to my needs and making sure I could continue to use my debit card. I've been with the Cooperative Bank for over 60 years and have been delighted with its service and its ethics. I've been especially impressed recently about the way they have implemented safety controls and encouraged people to avoid scams. A highly recommended bank.

The Co-op is a very human (and humane, ethical bank). They contacted me when a large payment I'd made was flagged as a potential scam. I called them back and they answered very quickly. The man I spoke to had a lovely Geordie accent and was very real and easy to talk to and knowledgeable. The opposite of corporate. Great Bank: Thank you.

Transaction Queries
I had a couple of queries about a few transactions which left my account in the last couple of days which I didn’t recognise. I’m a pensioner, 79 yr old and find buying products on the internet very scary. The 2 in question had a recurring payment set up which I definitely wouldn’t have accepted. My bank refunded my payments which I am very grateful for.
