Could do with a 'Zero Stars' rating for this lot
What a pity that Trust Pilot don't offer a 'Zero Stars' option as I'd be using it right now.
I placed an order for just over £39 this morning ;I was all geared up to some baking today and realised that two key ingredients were missing so I placed an order and added a few other bits and bobs to make it worthwhile. The order was accepted and I received a notification of the amount debited from my bank.I received an e-mail from Chop Chop and a notification that a driver had been allotted and the tracking showed the car on its way to the Sainsbury's store. All good.
I then got a text to say that delivery was running late and had been pushed back 20 mins.I looked at the tracking and noticed that the drivers and car details had changed.
Around about this time, another bank notification;this time informing me that I'd been repaid the amount debited. Then another text, telling me that the delivery was delayed again while they tried to find a 'delivery partner'.My account was then debited
AGAIN-a different amount this time,a few pence less-no update,no explanation why.
I checked tracking to see what was going on to find the word 'Cancelled'.
An email informed me that the order had been cancelled because a delivery partner could not be found and that I had not been charged.
After my account had been debited a second time,I begged to differ on that last point and so rang the number given.
The person I spoke to was absolutely useless;apologised and said 'um' a lot-I don't think she was quite sure what she was doing. She said she would 'leave a note' about a refund.I replied that it had better happen quickly. No explanation could be offered as to why my card was debited, then recredited and then debited again (for a different amount).
I HAVE been charged for this shopping and the money has still not been returned to me.
I'll be back onto them first thing in the morning!
I also made the point on the phone that if they cannot provide the service they shouldn't be accepting orders.
I been receiving regular orders for years from Sainsbury's and pay for a monthly pass.Although I've had some silly substitutions recently,by and large Sainsbury's have been dependable and their Customer Service has been good ,so what it going on with Chop Chop I really don't know, but I would urge them to give this service a very big rethink because it's taking their reputation down the pan.
Dont bother
Ive used this service 3 times... 1st time I got a message to say they encountered a problem but they still took my money and it was over a week before I got it back. 2nd time no problems except for the hour time slot is a joke it took 2 hours. Last time half an hour after my delivery time they cancelled my order with no explanation. Useless service
First time customer
First time customer. Tried six or seven times to order and the page kept going blank after my bank app approved the payment.
Overpriced items and terrible app.
If I could give 0 stars I would
If I could give 0 stars I would! After waiting in for some items that I forgot to order, I thought I'd give chopchop a go, only to be informed 15 minutes after my order was due that it had been cancelled by my picker! What is the point in advertising a delivery service which judging by others experiences, is absolutely diabolical!
Chop Chop is a Dreadful service
Dreadful service! Bereavement in the family so ordered via Sainsbury's app at 1.24pm and received an email at 2.40pm saying my 'personal shopper' had cancelled the order with no explanation. Called the customer service number who said he would put me on hold for a few minutes. Expecting an important call for the Coroner's office so asked to call me back and customer service said not possible! A deeply upsetting experience overall, avoid at all costs!
Absolutely awful experience, do not use!
I’ve used ChopChop 4 times now & each time I promise myself I won’t do it again, but I need the convenience & each time have hoped for a better experience. Sadly that’s not been the case.
Each time, the driver has failed to find our home despite me adding it to the notes & being a regular Sainsbury’s delivery customer.
Each time they have failed to deliver within 60 mins, 90 mins is more typical, if I’m lucky.
The last time, they actually delivered the order twice, due to their total lack of organisation.
Today was by far the worst experience & the reason why I’m writing this review & will never use it again. 90 mins after placing my order, I could see they were still ‘picking up the order’. I chased & the driver said the order wasn’t ready yet. Another 30 minutes later the order was cancelled by email, with no explanation. I called Customer Services & the response was appalling, claiming they couldn’t refund or compensate me. This is by far the worst business collaboration I have experienced, & quite frankly the Chop-Chop 60 minute delivery promise is nothing but fraudulent.
Awful experience
Awful experience. Arrived home from work, felt really poorly, ordered milk, bread and beechams and a few other bits to make up the value. Was delivered within the hour, missing milk. bread and beechams, offered only a refund, no delivery of missing items, suggested that I reorder, so would have to make up the value again! Absolutely useless, offered free delivery - but not until tomorrow - too late now! So got lots of bits at premium prices, but not the basics that I needed! Customer service is extremely poor! Hung up
on me twice whilst waiting to be escalated. Will use Amazon prime now next time, was a mistake to use this and won’t be doing it again ! Plus have to wait 7-10days for my refund! Appalling!
Sainsbury chop shop
I order a Sainsbury’s chop shop. 2 items the same brand that was on offer. They sent me a substitute of the same flavour charged me one at offer price and one at normal price despite them being on offer. Absolutely joke. Will not order another Chop shop again, Tesco whoosh is way better.
Poor, much better options
Item in order has been smashed, leaking sauce over other items, very difficult ti report the issue and get a refund for the unusable item - Tesco Whoosh is more reliable and the app actually tracks it as an order, unlikely the sainsburys app which doesn’t have it logged
Disappointing behaviour by grow adults
Went there today with my 1 year old for his 2nd haircut waited 40 minutes past his appointment time there was no customers in the shop and both staff members decided to sit down and have there break didn't even say 2 words to us just left us sat there to which I asked would someone be cutting my sons hair the response I got was I'm eating my lunch not even a I'll be with you soon or anything it was 3 o'clock in the afternoon I don't see why they both had to have a break at the same time it's just disappointing as his first haircut was done by a lovely lady shame she wasn't there today definitely not going again think some people need retraining in people communication!!!!
I was over charged for 10 items when I…
I was over charged for 10 items when I only recieved 1. I have rang help line 4 times, sent 4 emails, sent proof of bank statement, not getting anywhere, it's over 2 weeks now and they have my money. Sainsburys just won't help.
Only half the items were delivered
Only half the items were delivered. Popped into Sainsbury’s and the lady on customer services said “oh yes they often only take one of two bags” and could remember the driver leaving my other bag. I’ve still been charged the full amount! In store can’t do anything about it as it’s a separate company. The driver also took much longer than the time allocated to arrive. Will not be using again!!
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. They make promises that they do not keep. It seems that they tell the clients what they wish to hear in order to complete the call but have no intention whatsoever to take action on what they have said.
No sincerity.
They don't care.
The app is awful too.
Tantamount to Fraud
Used this service twice now, you'd have thought I'd have learnt the first time.
1st time, place an order for £90+, said delivered 90mins later, no picture evidence. Rang them to be told the uber driver must have stolen it! They didn't seem bothered or surprised. Took 10 days to get money back.
Thought I'd try again 3 months later, order cancelled with no explanation after 75mins, email said I wouldn't be charged. Money still taken from my bank, had to ring again to instruct refund, let the wait commence!
NEVER AGAIN!
I was delivered a completely wrong…
I was delivered a completely wrong order.
When I rang to ask them to deliver the correct order I was told that was not possible even though I expect the order was still in the couriers car and it was a genuine mix up.
They implied that the driver had taken my delivery as it had wine in it.
I don't believe that but they were happy to throw him under the bus
Major problems getting refund for incorrect order
I placed an order for c. £30 but all that arrived was a bunch of bananas and a cucumber, neither of which I ordered! These things happen, but - despite being assured that a refund had been processed the same day - I have now spent nearly a month chasing it thanks to repeatedly conflicting information having been given. I’m now left trying to sort this out with my bank directly. Appallingly poor customer service - will never use Chop Chop again.
Worst ever service
Fail to deliver yet won't refund delivery charge
Wait over an hour for the order to cancel
2 deliveries both wrong and wait 2 weeks for a refund.
Never again !
Horrible!
Horrible!. I put in an order, waited a while and nothing came. I didn't receive any text to tell me what was happening, then I checked the app, it said 'order cancelled'. So I rang, women said we couldn't take payment... I was so confused, because I had more than efficient funds in the bank, call centre sounded foreign. She told me to ring my bank, I did. The bank said my card was locked, because suspected scam. They unlocked it. I rang back today, was told it would take 3 to 5 days to get back £50.39 back. I literally am so disappointed. The worst customer service ever and no communication.
Truly woeful. Avoid.
Decided to try this blatant rip off of Tesco Whoosh and placed an order for some groceries. They promise all over the app that your delivery will arrive in 60 minutes or less but we waited for over 90 minutes and the contacted the customer (dis)service number for support. We were told they haven't been able to find a driver through their "third party courier" (read Uber or similar). They had no way of contacting the store or the courier to give us any indication of when we might expect delivery. Decided to cancel and use Tesco instead as we could have been waiting hours, we were then told it would take up to 5 working days to process the refund, which is probably still faster than our order would have arrived. Awful, awful service. Avoid.
