Sous Vide is the only way to cook period
I love this thing. It makes amazing steak and chicken dishes of any kind. Perfectly I might add. Every single time no matter what your doneness preferance is. Just be patient and really try to focus on learning new steps to add to your cooking arsenal. It was worth every dollar to buy this sous vide tool tho. Its soooo super easy to use and clean. Also the phone app matches up with it fantastically. All I can say to the Chef Steps creators/crew is keep up the great work and awesome cooking pointers on the app for us all to use and be better home chefs. Seriously this sous vide tool makes the best steak of my life. I never eat out anymore because resturant steaks are such a huge let down to me, especially now that I can cook way better ones at home. Thank you very much Chef Steps. I recommend this to anyone and everyone out there. I for real give it 10 stars instead of 5. Its worth buying and Id definitely buy it again with no hesitations whatsoever.

Overall great but app could use some…
Overall great but app could use some usability improvements. Biggest gripe is that when following a recipe the detailed steps only list the method and not the amount so I always find myself flipping back and forth between the first page listing all the amounts and the individual steps. Other issue is with the video steps loading. Most of the time they are fine but sometimes can't get them to load.

Great product!!
Great product!!! I have used the Joule Sous Vide many times it delivered a perfect meat every time! I like the ease of programing with the ChefSteps app and the tips that comes with it. I have been getting updates to the app and it never takes long to download. I have suggested to friends that if they are planning to get a Sous Vide unit, get the Joule!

Made a believer out of me!
I was skeptical of jewel when it first came out. I was an Anova fanboy. Now that I’ve used jewel I’ve seen the error of my ways. Jewel is small quiet and powerful. I scoff at how big the Anovas are now. LOVE IT!!! I do wish it had controls on the unit itself.

Love Chef Steps
Love Chef Steps. The only thing I don't like is I have trouble connecting to Joule almost everytime. I essentially have to set it up every time. I would still recommend the product and the site to everyone I know (along with Kenji from Serious Eats).

Joule is Great!
Lets be honest this is just plain Great. Joule helps make good chefs great Chefs plain and simple. I think it is great that people can cook like pros without years of formal training and experience without taking away the core essence of what it means to cook.

For Americans only
The souvide itself is good , modern and attractive, however as I found out late it only works in America as it’s not equipped for the higher European voltage requirement . In Europe we use 220/240 volts . The thing is I just bought one and then I realised that’s its no good for me so I had to go through a refund which I didn’t get back in full and spent more money to send it back to the States which I found it quite unfair to be honest. I don’t know what Chefsteps are waiting for to make a European version ,I’m not a rocket scientist but I’m sure it can’t be that hard .
