My other half loves these. She has encouraged myself to do these as a couple hobbie. Yes we both have other hobbies. But we also share some of our hobbies. So the one called killing me softly. Sadly the evidice pack could have been the killer. Death by a 1000 paper cuts. Due to the overwhelming amount of paper. The evidence structer was misleading not overly engaging and blarong mistakes or even a misprint. Tryong tonsend red herring after re d herring. For someone whos dislexic this amount of print is not engaging, where other murder misteries have used other mediums to give clues as such as videos photes and so on. Once the final pack was open only one fibal pack. Thebkiller was easily revielednin such dissapoijtway. It made mu headache feel somewhat worse. We sat for abwhile discussing and conparing other prodicts of the same type made by other conpanies and we came to the realisation that yes we do have another one of these but if it has more paper then war and peace we will avoid it. And gone with something a lot more engaging then trying to prononce tolkeens written elvish in lord of the rings, which this murder mystery was. Or you pull your own teeth out. All agonizingly bad.

It was ok. Was it worth the headache induced reading .. nope

The packs are generally enjoyable. I liked the use of QR codes across the evidence; that was a unique feature. A couple of things didn't quite hit the mark for me when compared to other market leaders:
- An evidence logging sheet would be useful to manage the volume of evidence, number it, etc, plus ensure all evidence is present. (Aware this can be done online, but would have preferred a hard copy).
- The pacing of uncovering the killer felt off; some evidence was extremely subtle whilst other pieces battered you over the head with the answer. The evidence wasn't always tied together as well as it could be either.
- The Confidential envelope was probably unnecessary? The rubric within it could have just been written as part of the summary when you get the killer right online.
- The timing was way off for the case; it states 1-2hrs but took us 4.5, and much of that time was spent sifting evidence (see point 1).
- The corkboard poster was cute but didnt really achieve anything as you can't write on it effectively in pencil or biro. A suspect list on paper would have worked just as well.

Otherwise, it was good fun and provided a good breadth of evidence.

Overall a well made set, a large amount of information and clues provided. However hate the use of ai images throughout the kit and websites created for the game. There were also a few pieces of evidence that were very difficult to locate and explain. We may have been missing some sheets of information as even when reading the confidential envelope a lot of the evidence wasn't clear.

AVOID THIS COMPANY..... I placed an order, it never arrived.... They refuse a refund unless I return the item!! How can you return something you never got!??

Great value for money, very well produced, arrived quickly and really enjoyed completing the task, was a different way to spend a Saturday night!!

Lots of interesting pieces of evidence. This was our 2nd case and it only took us 3 hrs this time.

Good fun, not too hard but made you think. Like the interactive QR codes.

Always judge a company when something goes wrong! A great company with very good customer service. Replied quickly to a lost package and rectified without hesitation.

Our item never arrived for valentines and we are still waiting on a refund, no replies from case and clues and having to go through banking to arrange the refund. Terrible customer service, AVOID!!!

Customer service were really helpful before I placed my order, working with me to help me find the best deal and cases to suit the event we were buying for! The website was easy to navigate, find what I wanted and how much itd be. Once the order was placed, it arrived very promptly and was well packaged.

Was really looking forward to gifting this to my husband and completing it on Valentine’s Day. Very frustrating as the website did not work so we could not complete it on the night and had to come back to it. Disappointing!!

I played Kiss of Death with one other player and have bought Dead Famous for future use. It was a really fun way to spend time and met expectations.

That said, I wouldn't recommend the Ultimate packages. The Food & Drink pairings were so out of the way that I couldn't find it in time and once I did it was stuff I really could have guessed myself from the brief description. The story walkthroughs don't really add to the experience as they're just someone reading out the instructions while showing the relevant parts of the kit (I'd mistakenly presumed they might be a mini movie at the end bringing the story to life to explain it all to you). Providing the alternative endings seemed entirely useless and a bit confusing. The "cork board" wasn't useful at all and, in fact, a bit confusing.

So all in all, I highly recommend the core package but not Ultimate.

Orderering was very easy and delivery was good

We were one of the many disappointed customers from Valentine’s Day. Good business is not about perfection but it is about owning up to mistakes and rectifying them. We wasted £25 on an unusable product and received the worst customer service in return. When finally offered a free case I tried to use the code a few days later to find it was no longer valid. After reaching out to the company they responded simply “it was working on the day” such a rude response with no offer to fix it. I’m still sitting here with no solution - the replies to all the other complaints are just the same message copy and pasted. Bad show cases and clues - do not use them! I will be going back to our usual supplier “detective for a day” who’s cases are accurate, fun and most importantly the online elements work!!

Looks great, arrived fast, packaged well. That’s where the positives end.

Whilst playing none of the web related content worked, websites continuously timed out unable to move forward. Sent the ‘email’ off and several hours later we got the automated response to allow us to move on. Was meant to be a date night ended up sitting completely bored and frustrated.

Requested a refund of the product to be met with the most absurd customer service, you get one email a day, I asked for the refund on 15th Feb and I am no further forward, the woman sending me email responses seems to get a kick out of annoying me, it’s almost like she’s playing a game herself.

There are some cheaper alternative companies online that I had no problems with, I will not be using this provider again.

If you’re considering buying this murder mystery experience, I’d strongly advise against it. What should have been an engaging and suspenseful activity turned into nearly three hours of sifting through an overwhelming amount of files and documents — only to reach no clear or satisfying conclusion.

After painstakingly ruling out suspects, we were left with two possibilities but given absolutely nothing meaningful to help differentiate between them. Instead of solving the mystery through deduction, we were essentially forced to guess, with any useful explanation only provided afterwards.

There was no real opportunity to use detective instincts, the storyline lacked coherence, and the plot failed to deliver any genuine excitement or payoff. Overall, it was frustrating, poorly structured, and not worth the time or money.

Simply Amazing! Brought this for something different to do on valentines night and we both loved working together to solve the mystery. We were still talking about it the next day which shows it made a very strong impression. Went on to buy more cases the next day.

A great date night alternative with a great twist! So much fun and made you feel like a real detective! Can't wait to try our next one!!

Honestly, this is not what I would usually attempt/play but the wife likes her murder mysteries, so I thought i would go for it for valentines. And wow I was taken by surprise and blown away with how interesting and intrigued I got into this myself. The evidence was brilliantly given but not obvious. Yes they had an issue with the online techy bit but honestly I refuse to give them bad feedback because of this, all small companys face stumbling blocks so ease off and be happy they resolved the issue the next day and openly apologised, me and the wife both had a cracking time and enjoyed so much we will be buying another and wont use the excuse of it having to be valentines. A++
