The customer service was great at every point. From my initial phone call I felt that I was in good hands. The use of Skin Analytics was really impressive as was using the speed of the results. Then for me the system not so good. The results from Skin Analytics said I should have a face to face with a specialist in one to two weeks. That hasn’t been possible and it will be five weeks between the diagnosis by Skin Analytics and the earliest possible appointment which I made through calling down the list of dermatologists on the BUPA list. Rather worrying for me, hence the four stars.

Superb and faultless five star service from Bupa. I have never used private health insurance before; my experience to date defies expectations. Magnificent medical services supported by an amazing administration and super swift communications. It could not have been improved upon and I highly recommend it.
A mere 7 working days from my initial telephone enquiry to Bupa to an expert, detailed, considered diagnosis and care path!
This included a virtual GP consultation, an initial face to face consultant appointment, an MRI scan, bringing forward the follow-up face to face appointment, and proper pain relief.
Consequently, I feel confident in having been listened to and making a fully informed decision re spinal surgery - but first some rebuilding of my fitness to aid recovery post operation.
After months of pain, visits to my GP surgery, NHS refusing an MRI scan etc. I am so relieved and grateful to those involved at Bupa for enabling and subsequently Spire (Anita), Spire Hospital Norwich, Mr L Lutchman, and Practice Manager Jenny. Thank you everyone.

Few years ago Bupa just rejected the claims without explaining anything about why they have done that!
These days they have improved indeed, but still insist to send you paper letters for each claim.
Then we must keep track of each family member's benefit category to know how much left to use.
Also, we have to enter every details about everything each time putting a claim! Why doesn't Bupa make our account visible for us?
Why can't we login and see all our details and the previous claim history?
Well, the more difficult it is, the less claim put in obviously, hence more earnings 🤑

I think that there seem to have been recent changes in terms of simplifying and streamlining of organising appropriate consultants, procedures and appointments. This has been a positive experience for me. Staff have been friendly and helpful.

I had an excellent experience with BUPA staff but I wasn’t very impressed with the consultant Mr Hassan Ahmed. He forgot that he had referred me for two MRI scans after the first appointment and so hadn’t read the results when I turned up for the second appointment. The second appointment lasted just six minutes and he effectively washed his hands of my problems because they originate in the cervical spine and not the hand/arm/shoulder.

Was given call options to speak to a clinician easily through the app and, after that first call was given a referal. When the first few consultants were unavailable for a while, I called Bupa and they immediately recommended others and supported me in booking with them. The experience with the consultant was then also second to none. Very happy.
