Excellent Exoerience

I have been with BUPA for over 25 years, but this was the first time I used my cover and the experience was absolutely great. Easy to contact them and very courteous. I am really delighted with the service and I should know because I am a doctor as well. Highly recommended

Efficient and easy process

Initial appointment online was super quick and straightforward to book and attend, with a very helpful and thorough nurse practitioner. The referral letter was also sent quickly with detailed notes. I have also had my consultant appointment and again, can't speak highly enough of the time taken and attention to detail. Currently awaiting a follow up scan and blood tests.

Fantastic service

Fantastic service
Couldnt get in to see my GP for over a week so used this option.
Video call within 4hrs and presciption sent to local chemist within the hour.
Would highly recommend this cover.

The appointment was in Liverpool so hour and half in the car didn’t help

GP didn’t turn up and no communication about why

Booked a digital GP appointment; cleared my diary; waited 45 mins and despite being informed GP was vino g, no one arrived. Fed this back - after couple of emails back and forth got a call and promise to follow up and explain. Received a call whilst I was on another call - offered times that I would be available- no response or call. Secondly had skin Analytics home AI review. Didn’t receive the promised report on results simply a message from Bupa to book a consultant appointment- so I summised that there was an issue to be followed up; I had to call Bupa (who also didn’t have the report), emailed skin analytics and still don’t have the report. Seeing consultant without report. I asked Bupa to escalate it, said they would. Heard nothing.

Don't bother with digital GP, Bupa is avoiding claims

The digital gp system is useless. GPs are clearly instructed to avoid referrals. I've spent nearly a year trying to get a referral, Bupa GPs fobbed me off. Finally got a referral, Bupa tried to deny the claim even though it is clearly covered by the policy. Finally got a pre authorisation after complaining, let's see if I have further problems

Obtaining an Appointment Authorisation

I was looking to obtain an authorisation no for a visit to a consultant.
The lady who helped me was very pleasant to deal with and very efficient and clear with her explanations. The whole procedure took less than 10 minutes.
