Placed an order on the eleventh of November and until didn’t receive a single update on my order, I contacted on the first of December and was informed they were waiting for a trowel but would send out the rest of my order. My order arrived missing multiple items and no note to provide further information. I’ve sent multiple messages at this time and haven’t yet heard back. Truly terrible customer service, it’s a shame as the tool quality is decent but I won’t ever shop here again.

First and last time I’ll order from either Bulldog or Toolchimp. Ordered on the 15/03, now 26/03, no comms and was told when I phoned them, they’d be shipped the following week. I’m not used to online retailers being so slack! I’ll no doubt be waiting sometime and be rewarded with substandard tools.

Have bought a number of Bulldog tools in the past-and found the quality to be excellent, however, now this is important- this was prior to the ‘Toolchimp’ takeover. What an absolute shower of ….. they’ve become! The website is a total joke, 3 times I’ve tried to load up their webpage today just to buy a replacement handle for a fork- 1st couple of times it froze- 3rd time and the circle of doom is revolving and revolving and revolving! All other web pages I tried loaded up in a flash - on fibre here 1000mb- Whilst this was going ‘on’ I went onto to Amazon- ordered a handle paid for it and will get delivery tomorrow! The page still hasn’t loaded during this sad episode! That’s a lost sale Bulldog and a lost customer!

Wanted to buy British made home grown and designed product, when I purchased a pair of Bulldog Ratchet Secateurs, but sadly let down by quality and design. Problems experienced are as follows:
1. Secateurs slide close did not open easily and had to be unscrewed to release blades;
2. Once released close position cannot be reached unless handles pressed really hard together;
3.Ratchet system did not work efficiently and basic pruning made very difficult;
4. Contacted supplier, but refund not possible as item used;
5. Contacted Bulldog twice and told that the person responsible for quality control would call me back - ie. given the brush-off.

Bought several metal rakes. Steel too soft. Handles bend and rake head bends during normal use. Not fit for purpise.

Poor customer service clearly these tools aren't all they say they are. And for sure there customer services is non exsistant. I've honestly had better service from prodcusts purchased direct from China!

Told my shovel has just worn out from tear and wear? Yet it broke nowhere near an impact zone. Told bluntly they will not honour their warranty.
Spend your money elsewhere, because they don't last. And people wonder why British companies are going out of business from people buying elsewhere online from around the world!! You can't blame them

Paid extra to buy British Made. British bulldog tools were always made in Britain and when googled, the situation hadn’t changed. Have just received a number of hand tools. Lots of attached labels with flag on! Did wonder about the use of a ‘French’ bulldog for their new Pedigree range ………. Then, as I was scraping the barcode label off, I noticed a European sounding name and below that - ‘MADE IN CHINA’. Am incredibly disappointed. I may as well have continued buying Burgon & Ball. DeWitt of Holland still make their own tools in Holland. Why can’t we? Fuming 😡

Spade broke at the handle - Used the spade a few weekends in my garden, and it has now split in two. Completely unusable. I'm a 40-year-old woman shovelling a bit of dirt...it's not particularly heavy-duty work. Very disappointed at the poor quality.

Terrible quality, see how many people left poor reviews. The ash handle broke ON THE FIRST DAY of use on the West Country Shovel. And I am a trained horticulturist, 164 cm / 5'4'' and 59 kg / 9.3 stones, female, so not really winning strength competitions. In addition, the attachment angle of the point shovel makes it totally useless for either digging (should be closer to 180 degrees) or shovelling up (should have a smaller angle). I cannot discourage the overall quality and design of these tools further.

Wish I had checked here first. Terrible service ordered a spade about 6 weeks ago for a job. No spade and no reply to emails. Have had to open a paypal dispute to try and get my money back. Wonder if this is just a scam. AVOID

brought a bulldog digging graft after a week emailed to ask when i will recieve and was told it would be chased and someone would come back to me with eta heard nothing emailed again 4 days later to then get told no stock for at least 4 weeks this is 2 weeks near after the order was placed very poor service

I bought a bunch of tools from them and was amazed when they all arrived wrapped together with only clingfilm to protect them. All the handles were exposed so had been damaged in transit, a real shame when I purchased Bulldog tools because of the hardwood finish. Fortunately customer service have been good and are arranging the return/refund.
