I am extremely disappointed with the way BudgetAir have handled our cancelled flight and refund.
We had a booking for 4 passengers on Thai Lion Air flight SL243 (Kolkata → Bangkok) scheduled for 26 September 2026, under the same airline. The four passengers were Suprom Bhadra, Jayasree Ghoshal, Debarati Samanta and Abhishek Bhattacharya. The ticket clearly confirms all four passengers were booked on the same Thai Lion Air flight.
The airline cancelled the Thai Lion Air flight, which consequently affected our onward travel plans as well.
What makes this situation even more frustrating is that the Nok Air onward flight refund has already been received, while the refund for the Thai Lion Air sector remains unresolved.
Even more concerning, Thai Lion Air refunded only one passenger – Abhishek Bhattacharya – while the refunds for the remaining three passengers have been pending since 5 September 2026.
So the obvious question is:
If the airline was able to process the refund for one passenger from the same booking, why are the other three passengers still waiting?
This is not a request for a new refund or compensation. We are simply asking for the refund that is already due to us.
What we expect now:
1. Immediate processing of the pending refunds for the remaining 3 passengers.
2. A clear explanation as to why one passenger’s refund was processed while the other three remain pending.
3. Confirmation of the exact refund status and expected credit date.
4. No further generic responses asking us to wait without providing a concrete resolution.
It has already been an unnecessarily stressful experience dealing with a cancellation, disrupted travel arrangements and now a prolonged refund delay.
BudgetAir should take responsibility for resolving this instead of making customers repeatedly follow up for money that is rightfully due to them.
I hope this review reaches the appropriate escalation team and that the remaining refunds are processed immediately.

Very bad experience in refund
Very bad experience in refund. Airline changed the schedule and on requesting cancellation they first mentioned 199gbp as cancellation then changed the cancellation fee to 398gbp. Recalled the previous message in the chat as well. Not professional organisation which I use frequently but this is unacceptable. Don't know if it was really the airline or someone within the first company trying to be smart.
