So helpful and incredibly patient. I was talked through setting up app and new pin number. Dianne talked me through everything and when it didn't work first-time, patiently went through everything again. All set up and working now. Thank you.

An extremely informative and friendly voice on the end of the phone. He talked me through setting up my online and phone banking in 15 mins and everything worked first time. Fluent in every nuance for a Brit living in the UK, managing a property in France. Thank you very much, can you do my UK banking too?!!

Our time in France is coming to an end and we are closing down our accounts.
For the past 8 years we have been with Britline and experienced nothing but outstanding personal service.
UK banks need to take note of how Britline (part of Credit Agricole Normandie) treat their customers. They are how banking in the UK used to be - dealing with a person rather than a chatbot, providing clear information and an app that works seamlessly, statements issued on time, message service that actually works and above all a team on the ground who actually care and try to help.
Bravo Britline - we'll miss you (and I can't recall ever saying that about a bank !)

My experience with Britline has been very positive from the start; my personal advisor Jane is always very responsive and helpful, from opening a French bank account to setting up French car insurance with competitive pricing. Happy to recommend!

I found that my initial phone call with CA Britline as I was looking to open French Bank Account was really helpful. I had no idea that this english speaking company even existed. They explained clearly and succintly what CA Britline where about and what they could offer me. On my second phone meeting I was taken through the procedure of having a CA bank account and what I needed to do once it was open etc. At no point was anyone trying to give me a hard sell and the whole process from start to finish has been a great experience. Very impressed by this company. I can heartily recommend their services.

The Britline people have always been friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. In particular I have just had a very useful and informative conversation with Sophie Dumbleton about house insurance. They all set an excellent standard for client care.

Being less than good at mobile apps and their usage the thought of resurrecting my app was daunting.
Clim was excellent. Polite patient and calm, he guided me through the process and made it so easy. Thank you Clim.
Exellent service over many years of owning a prperty in France.
From a second home, to becoming our main home, Briline and their team were there to help us with life abroad.
I have no cause to fault them. At all.
Absolutely rubbish never answer to telephone
Over a 3 day period 2 hrs waiting
We have a new Britline advisor which after years with the lovely, very efficient Richard H-C we approached with trepidation. However, our fears were totally groundless, Sam Hodgon is excellent! He responds virtually immediately, is practical, knowledgable, pertinent and totally non-judgmental. Thank you Britline!
I have been with Britline ( Credit Agricole Normandie ) for about fifteen years and have always had outstanding service from the Bank and its staff.
They are knowledgeable, helpful and always respond to my queries.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Britline to anyone looking to set up a banking facility in Europe.
In my opinion this is how all banks should operate.
I have already written a review but I have to write another 5 star review as I have never come across a company (or a bank) with such consistently excellent customer service. I previously reviewed the company whilst I was in the UK ready to move to France and now I can review them having been in France.
Moving and living abroad can be quite stressful, but Britline (and especially my excellent advisor David Metcalfe) have always been very responsive, polite and helpful. Having a great bank has made it much easier when dealing with all the difficulties you face when moving. Whenever I have a question I get a helpful reply. The Britline International Payments service is also great. The app is great and easy to use and if you need an appointment with an advisor it is very easy to book one.
We wish to thank all the staff of Credit Agricole Britline for the help & advice they have always eagerly and professionally provided. We are now residing in England but for anyone seeking an English speaking bank we highly recommend Britline.

I must congratulate Britline and in particular Anglique Wirth for her outstanding service! I was in a real pickle but calmly and professionally she guided me through a very difficult transaction - I am truly grateful! Well done and thanks to Anglique and to Britline.

We had to get insurance in a hurry and Frances was beyond helpful. We had to have her call back three different times, as we were waiting for the registration number and Frances did it without any issues, fuss and it was at the time we requested.
Thank you so much Frances for your help!

We had just been scammed at the same time as funds from out Britline account were due to transfer to the Notary for our house purchase. Everyone we contacted, including at 3am to lock down the account, was brilliant. Next day, Sophie Dumbleton and Diane Ogilvie in particular were exemplary: they were kind, thoughtful, professional, and totally reassuring, They took the time to explain matters and answer any questions. Diane even called me back later saying they'd been thinking how to help us without credit cards (while waiting for the new ones). Showing how banking, and in fact any professional services, can be done well. Thank you.

I have banked with Credit Agricole for nearly 30 years. Then when I became fiscally resident in the UK following retirement, I was unilaterally transferred out of my local branch to this 'Britline' joke whose staff insist on attempts at communicating to me in English - something I didn't need and find irritating given the poor standard of spoken English by some of the staff. During my previous years of banking via the local branch I had nothing but praise for the standard of service received. In the three years of 'Britline' association i have endured nothing but grief from a completely incompetent group of so called advisors. The latest resulted from discovering my wife's renewed debit card had been sent to an old address and was out somewhere in the wild. Over a period of 6 weeks I requested the card be cancelled and so avoid any potential fraudulent use. Eventually a card cancellation was effected BUT NOT the missing card rather it was mine. So the missing card is still capable of fraudulent use and I cant make any online purchases. I raised a formal complaint with a demand for the immediate cancellation of my wife's card and reinstatement of mine. The reply was that the matter will be investigated and a response provided in 10 days!!! I attempted to freeze my wife's card online as an alternative but the message on the site says the debit card is not eligible for temporary locking. This branch of Credit Agricole is a disgrace - even it's branding is an insult to English speaking customers who might not be British. I would advise avoiding like the plague.

As banking becomes more and more impersonal in England, Britline bucks the trend in Normandy, France. Very refreshing to find that individuals (Sophie Dumbleton in this case) and the Britline team still exist and give first rate service. Cheerful, knowledgeable and helpful, I continue to be amazed at how well I'm looked after by Sophie and her colleagues - long may it continue. Interestingly, this has become noticeable in the last five years or so, since we joined in 2003. I'm afraid this is no longer obtainable in England, unless c/o private banking at great expense. Bravo Britline!

Everything sorted so efficiently, with patience and politeness. British in France should only ever consider joining Britline that are happy to support us in every possible way they can, being always bright and cheery on the phone, nothing seems to be too much for them when helping you out with a problem or query! I needed help regarding my debit card and use in Italy. I arranged a conference call with Russell , he answered my questions and recommended I change my card to improve my protection. The net result is my new card arrived before leaving for Italy. As always great personal service they always seem to go the extra mile. Having been a customer for 7 years I cannot be more happy with them as my bank.
