The team at Britline including Jane Larcombe were Professional, competent and responsive regards all of our banking dealings with Britline. Highly recommend if you are British and require a French bank.

Dave Metcalfe at Britline goes above and beyond!

Dave Metcalfe at Britline handled our mortgage here in France with such professionalism, above and beyond what you would expect from any bank. He is a terrific advisor in every way and also a genuinely nice person! He listened, responded with kindness, was totally transparent and kept us up to the minute with the whole process. I could not recommend Britline, and especially Dave, more highly. They also sorted our life insurance, home insurance and we also used their money exchange service BIPS to wire our deposit. All fantastic services, best prices and easy to complete. If you are from the UK, US, Ireland or anywhere that Britline serves and you are coming to live, work, buy property in France, Britline should be your first and only choice for all of your banking needs.

I have banked with Britline for 6…

I have banked with Britline for 6 years,since coming to France. They have always been fantastic. Helpful, knowledgeable and truly decent people to converse with. When moving to France from Mallorca

When moving to France from Mallorca, where I had lived for a bit more than twenty years, one of the decisions I had to make was finding a bank. I had been lucky in Mallorca to have a very competent bank to work with and I was concerned that in France, it might be difficult to find one that equals the service and banking experiences I had been having. And then I opened an account with Britline. That was two years ago, and over these past two years, I have had nothing but exceedingly good experiences with Britline. Your people are more than accommodating and helpful. I thank you for being so customer-focused. And just a side note: your ranking system is nice but given the option, I would have clicked on more than five stars. Merci beaucoup.

We are new to having a french bank…

We are new to having a french bank account. Every time we speak to Credit Agricole- Britline, we are very impressed with the friendly helpfulness of their staff, and the way they enable us to navigate their system.

Excellent customer service

I’ve been banking with Britline for nearly 10 years and today I had to ring them to discuss validating my details. I’ve never had such a positive experience with a bank. I spoke to Clym and he was so patient and helpful. He made sure I understood everything and did so without being patronising. I couldn’t recommend them more.

Excellent banking service

We have banked with Credit Agricole Britline for almost 20 years and we've always had excellent service. For most of that time, we've had the same account manager - David Metcalfe - and he has also been excellent. He responds quickly and efficiently to any queries we've raised and he always takes the time to make sure we're happy with any proposed changes. Having a known and friendly 'face' really makes a difference to the banking experience.
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend CA Britline to anyone needing banking services.

Excellent 1st Class Service

A great service

We have used Britline for a few years now, and our first adviser Sarah was a constant support and very helpful.

We were then introduced to Daniel Earnshaw and we feel it appropriate to give feedback of his professionalism and customer care.

Daniel is an outstanding young man who has so much knowledge and is at all times keen to assist and "put things right" with any problems or issues arising in your day to day, and long term banking issues!

From the outset Daniel has been very, very supportive during a very difficult time and has guided us and recommended solutions when I thought perhaps there weren't any!

Notre conseilleur est toujours là pour nous - tous nos besoins sont satisfait. On aime que la banque soit très fiable - c'est une grande banque à taille humaine. Il y a beaucoup des prestations et beaucoup de choix aussi. Our adviser is always there for us and all our needs are met. We like the fact that the bank is very reliable - a big bank with a human touch. There are many services on offer and thus lots of choice too.

My family have been with Britline since…

My family have been with Britline since we moved to France from thr UK in 2019 and we have always been exceptionally happy wth the service. The fees a reasonable and the online and app systems are really easy to use. In particular, our account manager David Metcalffe, who has been our main point of contact since day one, is a very kind, friendly and helpful gentleman, we couldn't do withut him. Being able to converse in English is so vital for us, banking is not an area where we have room for mistranslation.

Rubbish service!

Rubbish! Transferred a deposit of 250 Euros five years ago. Received all the documentation in French! How does that help me? So, I never logged on. Closing the account now with zero balance as they charged me a yearly inactive fee plus a monthly account fee.
Apparently they sent me reminders about my account online. Tut

Britline Customer Service

We have been customers with CA Britline for over 20 years. During this period they have always been available to assist in any query and have made our life so much easier from organising insurance policies to managing bank accounts for our children. CA Britline is like banking was in the UK 40 years ago when you knew the bank manager and more importantly, they and the bank staff knew you. All the team are polite and helpful. Today Jane brought my attention to a potential problem. Her prompt intervention allowed me to take appropriate action and nuetralise the issue. I cannot imagine any UK High Street Bank being so usefully pro-active. Top marks to Jane and the rest of the Britline team. If you need a bank account in France CA Britline should be your ‘go to’ option. If you already have one, change it to CA Britline. You will not regret it!

Yesterday I spoke to Britline

Yesterday I spoke to Britline. The lady I spoke couldn't even do basic maths.
I paid in a small English check. After conversion. It was €61.87.
Credit agricole took to charges.
€22.50 + €19. = €41.50.
I ended up with € €20.37. When I pointed out that the bank had more of the check than me. She could not accept this was the case. No matter how many times I pointed this out. This is a bank remember I thought they worked with figures. Time for a change i think after 16 hrs. Totally incompetent!!!!
