I feel I must write this review. I am the trustee of a close friend who unfortunately passed away recently, he didn’t have any immediate family therefore I dealt with his life insurance policy through British seniors I must say to everyone to please make sure your policy is water tight. They told me my friends policy was due to be paid out at £2380. My friend never had much money and took up this policy so he could have peace of mind to know his wishes would be taken care of at the time he passed away. I priced a funeral based on these figures I was given by their so called professional staff. When the sad time came and I applied to have to policy paid out i was told that the payment would only be £1100. As the trustee I listened to the recorded phones calls that my friend had with them and I truly believe he was miss sold as there isn’t anything in the calls to advise him that there would only be a 40% payment. British seniors not only caused pain and suffering for myself at a time when I should be grieving the loss of my close friend, they haven’t shown any empathy whatsoever towards the predicament or addressed the mistakes that they made when they miss sold my friend and mis advised me at the point I became the trustee. This has resulted in me having find an additional £2400 out of my own pocket to pay for my friend funeral. If you ask me this company is a bunch of Charleston’s and a prime example of an insurance company trying to find any loophole at the time they have to pay out the full policy in order to not to. They’re tv advert which states they pay out a 100% if policies is absolute nonsense as I can attest to. Please refrain from using this company. You’d expect a car insurance company to negotiate on a pay out but a life insurance company? It’s disgraceful.

I have been thinking for a while of insurance as I have recently retired from full-time work and am putting all my ducks in a row!
