Collected today From BPI and the help I received was fantastic. I underestimated the item I was collecting but Dave and Bob came to the rescue and helped me to get loaded, then helped while we strapped it down. This is not the first time BPI have helped me and it gives me confidence to buy from them. 1st Class today boys!!!

I've been using BPI now for over 5 years. The experience Iv'e had with listing items has been seamless. Any issues from our end are always dealt with by Molly, who's service is outstanding. I'm hoping we can cary on doing business with them for a long time.

Changes to my account details were acknowledged by a charming lady who called me to confirm that she had received details of the changes, implemented them and wished me luck with my live bids. Superb and highly personal service which I appreciated. Furthermore the changes were confirmed within minutes by email.

I should have taken note after reading all the bad reviews on Trustpilot about BPI Auctions. Instead I stupidly bid for an item in one of their auctions. I really should not have been at all surprised therefore when, after being the winning bidder on a No Reserve auction, I phoned them up to pay and was told that the vendor had actually decided not to sell any of the lots in the auction because they had sold for less than he had expected!
Contents of a pizza restaurant (Ogni Volta) which had ceased trading in Burnham-on-Sea, Someret
All a bit shabby. I am going to avoid BPI Auctions!
They call them self online auction sou the items what they sell you never been checked even if they coming from scamer. And of course no refund i spend over 900£ and nothing was working big money lost. Watch what you buying.
Unfair reserve system at BPI auctions
I participated in a BPI auction for a pallet truck, which started at £500. During the bidding, I placed a maximum bid of £1010, confident that it would be enough to win since the other bidder had stopped competing. However, when my bid reached £1010, I suddenly learned there was a hidden reserve of £1500. This information was not disclosed to bidders from the start, which misled me and resulted in wasted time and effort.
I contacted BPI to clarify the situation, and they explained that the reserve price is not shown to bidders until it’s reached. In my opinion, this is unfair. If the reserve is set at £1500, it should be visible from the beginning, so people don’t waste their time bidding on items they can’t win. Instead, the auction gives a false impression by starting at £500, making it seem like the item could sell at that price.
In the end, factoring in the 20% buyer’s premium, 20% VAT on the hammer price, and additional taxes, the total cost would have exceeded £2000. For that amount, I could buy a similar forklift with a warranty for around £2500. This is clearly not the experience you expect from an auction.
I’m disappointed with this approach at BPI, and I believe the auction system should be more transparent to avoid misleading bidders in the future.
BPI allow scammers to sell products on their website and do nothing to facilitate or intervene. There is a reason that people choose not to believe they can get good deals on clearance auctions and it is because of companies like BPI and their lack of consumer support or protection.
I bought MacBook Pro at this auction site, one was locked and one was faulty (NOTHING on the description mentioned this) Contacted the admin team they listed their terms and conditions with no help to me!
This auction website should just be compared to a scam website.
Bought sets of outdoor lights which arrived: non-working, cut wires, unsafe electric parts.
Spend nearly £2000 and I received items I could get from the local waste yard.
I will not recommend this website and I think environmental services should inspect they yard.
I am aware of the extra costs involved, I am also aware of caveat emptor. I have purchased from BPI with mixed results. However, a reverse image search from many of their stock images does lend itself to my suspicious nature that not only dating sites use cat fishing to make money. I keep asking for extra information or images, ask to go and see items. Never hear back - must be busy from surfing the Web to find images to use in their next online only auction. EBay is safer ( and that should tell you all you need to know). Want a decent online auction site, try easylive.
They are scam
dont Fall for it
their contract has extra costs hidden
Bought a scissor lift which looked in good order, yet when we checked it over after delivery all essential parts were missing, what good is a scissor lift when it can’t go up or down.
Had 2 replies to email complaints and they said that items are sold as seen and do not seem to care about conning people, some other electrical items state that they have not been tested, therefore as the item I bought did not say this, I expected it to work, but without motor etc it could not, you would expect a seller to check items before listing and give potential buyers the security of bidding on goods in working condition.
In the same auction, I won a new drill and when collecting all items, the drill was missing, maybe they sold it to someone else, but the photos in the auction proved it was there.
Do not buy from this company as you are gambling with what you will receive and possibly waste your time travelling 5 hours round trip only to find what you have won is not there to collect.
They are the worst company I have dealt with in 20 years.
And 1 star is too much, but you cannot give less.
Bid on some bathroom items, they have regular sales from the same vendor,I suspect they are bidding up the prices themselves.why do I suspect that? Well a lot of the items are duplicated,a few of the same item in different lots,so , numerous times I have put a maximum bid on an item only to find the bids have increased up to my maximum price, but the identical items also listed have yet to get an opening bid,or are substantially lower in price,so why would a fellow bidder put in a bid on the already higher priced lots when the other identical lots are lower priced?.. very suspicious indeed.
