Great trail lovely huts, pretty easy booking process, but obviously a bit of a mark up compared with booking it myself, I guess that's the cost of convenience. Your app should have graphs with stan... See more

It was incredibly easy to book refuges, but some improvements to be made
It was incredibly easy to book refuges through Bookatrekking- saving a lot of time over booking each individually our selves. However, we did have two days with very short distances between refuges and others that were longer than needed. We would have appreciated a bit more balanced distances.
The app, while helpful to navigate the trail, was woefully inaccurate in distances, elevation gain, and time estimates. We were tracking our progress with Garmin GPS and in some cases the distances were off by 5+ KM.
On a final note, our final refuge was too basic and barely staffed. We arrived at 3pm and saw a note that no one was there currently. It took until after 6 for someone to show up. We then learned that we needed to pay for blankets and we were responsible for washing our dishes. Unlike all the other refuges there wasn't a bar/counter service to grab a beer or a snack.

This is my fourth time using BookaTrekking and each time has been amazing. The communication and ease of booking makes me want to keep coming back! The prices are appropriate and it takes the stress out of having to book yourself.

Most convenient way to book and experience Dolomites AV1!
Bookatrekking handled the booking of the mountain huts for us and was very communicative during the whole process. They updated us on the progress and pointed out the possible issues we may encounter, i.e. huts that opened late in the year. The accompanying app which had the navigation and elevation profile for each hike was a lifesaver.

The hike was an adventure for sure
The hike was an adventure for sure. The 1st day it rained quite a bit and the list provided kept us prepared. The navigation app was a life saver and fortunately for us kept us on the right trail 100%. The huts on our 2 night hike were great!

Premium for the convenience of having accommodation booked for you.
App and trail routing were generally good. I did need to make some adjustments to suit my personal routing preferences and this was accommodated. Refuges were good with the exception of Elisabetta, where the sleeping arrangements were appalling and I felt unsafe with respect to fire risk and emergency exit, should that have been necessary. My bed was a quarter share of a quadruple mattress positioned on the eaves of a converted attic and at the top of an open stairwell. This was adjacent to the main attic space where approximately 20 sleeping slots were positioned. There were no fire doors or other structures to prevent smoke or fumes from rising from the kitchen or any of the lower floors into this space. Noise and conversations from the kitchen, three floors below, could’ve heard up to at least 1130 pm.
In terms of value for money, the amount charged by Bookatrekking for dormitory accommodation was roughly twice the cost of booking directly.

Excellent hike in the Dolomites
We really enjoyed the hike and it was the right level of difficulty for our group. Refuges were all great, comfortable and offering good food in the evening and packed lunches for the following day. Dolomites themselves were genuinely beautiful- stunning views each day, couldn’t recommend it enough if you like mountain walking!

Exceeded all expectations
The logistics of the trip were seamless. Drivers were professional, on time and pleasant. The arrangements for the guesthouses were perfect, and the scenery spectacular. And even though I traveled solo on the self-guided tour, I met a whole lot of interesting hikers over the course of the week.
Special thanks to Brikena at Choose Balkans for her help and attention throughout the trip.

Communication is clear and information…
Communication is clear and information from the App is actually useful.
It is a really good service to coordinate with a group of friends that can't agree on choices for a group hiking trip. Excellent USP for the services of bookatrekking; they handle the logistics.

Great accommodations, reliable luggage transport, and a wonderful hike
We had great accommodations, reliable luggage transport, and a wonderful hike. I probably would have given 5 stars except that two of the guest houses claimed we still owed a balance on our room. Presumably the card that bookatrekking provided had been rejected, requiring the owner to contact bookatrekking to get a new card number. At the end of the day, it was all resolved and we did not have to provide a credit card, but that should not have happened.
Two other minor negatives:
(1) The daily hike distances were off by a mile or so each day, and the vertical elevation gains were off by about a factor of 2. I kind of like to know what the vertical elevation gain is each day when I set out on a hike, so I found the inaccuracy a bit frustrating.
(2) Breakfast was not served until 8:00 or 8:15 each morning. Given the extreme heat wave in Europe during our hike, we wanted to get out as early as possible to get some miles behind us before it got too hot. It was light enough that we could get on the trail by 5:00. Some guest houses were very accommodating and provided us with a sandwich to take with us. Others said that they really couldn't do anything. We skipped multiple breakfasts so that we could get going in the morning.
Again, these negatives were relatively minor, and the second one is not in bookatrekking's control, but it is worth knowing. Overall, we had a great hike with lots of great memories.

10/10 Trek!
We had the most amazing time on our trek through the Swiss alps! This trip was honestly more amazing then we could have ever expected! 10/10. We would however advise others who may be looking at this trek that this is by no means a beginner trek. The daily km's are reasonable but the terrain is steep, exposed, and treacherous at times. We found that this added to the experience, for us, but for people looking to just get their feet wet, this may not be the trek for you.
Bookatrekking made the process of booking this trek a breeze and the included navigation files and packing list took a lot of the stress out of the prep process. Overall we couldn't be more happy with our experience!

Super Route
Super Route! The Carres de Foc was just the right level of challenge, and bookatrekking set it up very well for us. The navigation features in the app were very helpful too. This was my first trip in the Pyrennes and they lived up to expectations for beautiful mountains. The terrain was challenging, but the trails were well-marked, and as good as possible, given the terrain. The standard of the hostels was between very good and excellent. Great food, and a good standard in for the sanitation too.
A few recommendations. For the Day5 itinerary, there were two options, but they were identical. So something went wrong. The exception proves the rule of a high quality, informative app. One bit of information you might consider adding is that the first 4-5 kilometers of the trek are along an asphalt road. Due to travel delays, we got a late start on the first day, which was hot and sunny. So we were glad to discover that we could actually get a taxi on the first leg. Mentioning that in the app information would have been helpful.
More generally we also found that the hiking times given on the trail signs, and (reflected in the app) were about a third shorter than we were able to achieve. So those times are for strong, fast trekkers.

Customer intimacy
The scenery, the distances and the huts are perfect. But the plus Bookatrekking delivers is the customer intimacy. From the app that delivers extra info and reminders. To the support along the way about the weather or if a descent is safe or not.

All reservationz were ok. Very good meal in evray refuges. Navigating with the app was easy. Breakfast must be better in some refuges.

Highly Recommend!
I would book with this company again without hesitation! They were extremely helpful while preparing for the hike and always responded to my emails promptly. The team was thoughtful and kind throughout the whole process.
The accommodations we stayed in were fantastic and had great food. I would highly recommend them to anyone planning a trek in the Dolomites.

Loved the ease of booking
Loved the ease of booking, the packing tips, the hiking naps were so easy to use. I wish the packing lists were more tailored to our hike. It felt like all hikes had the same packing list. We did not need everything in the list. Also, wish I had known we could have booked private rooms at the huts

The entire pre-travel information was…
The entire pre-travel information was really super. The app is splendid and the frequent follow-up mails, too. Most of the accommodations were fine - I had thought/hoped more would be physically situated in the heights - instead of having to walk down in the afternoon and then up again next morning. The last place - the Nouveau Grassonet in Argentiere was below standard: no persons were present until 5-5.30 pm - it was not possible to purchase any foods/snacks or drinks at all - and the additional 3 km to walk in the afternoon and next morning, too - were certainly not needed after 8-9 days of long walks. On top came the fact we had to pay 5 euro for a blanket to cover ourselves. The price is not important- but the principle / not having been given the information upfront by you.
