Bus was late and then there is no seat…

Bus was late and then there is no seat reservation. We booked trip from Paris to Munich and reserved front seats with an additional charge. But when bus came after some delay, operator told us to sit where ever empty seats are found. When we mentioned about our reservation, he said "either sit where ever seat is empty or leave the bus".

I have been receiving illegal SPAM…

I have been receiving illegal SPAM emails from BlaBlaCar.
These emails do NOT contain the option to unsubscribe, even though this is obligated by European Union law.

If this problem is not resolved, I will take legal action.

The response here from this organization is laughable. The are faster to respond here on Trustpilot than they do what you contact them privately. I already told them multiple times I want to unsubscribe, but I never received any reply from them, and I am still receiving illegal spam emails. This has been going on for months. Never got any reply from them except their standard response here on Trustpilot.

The service was great

The service was great. Especially the customer service and the driver Gepayo from the Philippine. Me and my sister was on his bus from Amsterdam to Paris, but when we were on break in Brussels, we got lost in the station to find the toilet. So we missed the bus. Our luggages were still on the bus. The customer service was so helpful helping us to get to another bus arriving to Paris safely and assist us to find our luggages. They were so kind to be on line and kept contacting the driver so we can get our both belongings in the same day. Really really grateful.

User for 12 years

A passenger tried to force me to transport a 3 year old child in an international 2 hour trip without the certified child seat. I told him just after he booked that according to BlaBlaCar policy, it is the passenger who must provide the seat. He showed up with no seat and I refused to transport his child with no security measures. Worst BlaBlaCar experience of my life. Maybe BlaBlaCar is not worth it anymore.

The worst part is that Blablacar did not protect me at all and they allowed this person to publish a review in my profile, insulting me, calling me racist. I don't feel protected at all by Blablacar even though they get a huge percentage of the ride.

STRANDED IN STRASBOURG FOR 5+ HOURS

Paris to Strasbourg, bus 80488 on 01/08/2025.

Our bus broke down for 5+ hours and we were gaslighted by customer support that they had technical support on site, meanwhile it was just the drivers (who didn't speak English, French or German) trying to figure it out for themselves. Apparently, the reality was that they were stalling while waiting for the next bus to arrive (which would have happened about 12 hours after we broke down in Strastbourg). The Company provided no support whatsoever, and I am now filing to see if I can reveive a full refund for my trip

Ended up having to book an alternative bus with Flixbus and as a result I arrived 6 hours later than I was supposed to (in a foreign country, after midnight)

UPDATE: I was compensated only for the alternative transport (that I booked on my own initiative) and only EUR 10 of the amount of money I spent on food due to 'company policy'. I paid to go to Stuttgart and I was stranded in Strasbourg, yet they claim they cannot and will not even partially refund me on my initial payment. I will pursue this matter with the relevant transport and consumer protection authourities because this is completely unacceptable.

NEVER USING THEM AGAIN!

Bus 30511 from Prague to Nuremberg. Date: 01/ August/ 2025. Time: 0820.

Florenc Bus Terminal - customer service said bus service for this day.

I had to purchase a ticket with another company for 10 times what I paid for Bla Bla Car Bus.

Do not use this company. Couldn't contact the company.

They are scammers.

Will leave you high & dry.

One of the worst bus service experience

Not recommended!
We booked a trip to Parc Asterix from saint Denis universitè. The bus was 1 hour and 10 minutes late! No excuse,no apologies were made. The was almost full we were lucky that we had place to sit. The bus was dirty and hot. No airconditioning whatsoever. Unfortunately we also booked a trip back from the Asterix park at 19:05 and the bus was late again with more than 45 minutes. It was the same dirty and no air-conditioned bus from earlier.
Will never ride with them again.
Not recommended!!!

Geneva to Milan. worst. Travel. Ever.

Geneva to Milan. Jesus, the worst experience of my life. Giving it a 1 rating because 0 isn't available. Geneva to Milan. Jesus, the worst experience of my life. 40 minutes late to come to station. Driver smoking on the bus, took a 40 minute break 45 minutes into the already late travel. Constantly slamming on the brakes in the city. Rude and unhelpful driver, no contact number to complain. If you value your mental health avoid this company like the plague. On top of it all, multiple seats on the bus were broken, the other half were wet and just generally horrible regarding sanitation.

If you value your mental health avoid this company like the plague. Disgusting.

Avoid!

Avoid!
Driver was late and rude. Left before my mother had taken her suitcase. They have had details 3 times and one week later, still nothing and no case.
The rudest, most useless customer service and only one number.
Feels like a scam.

Update: One month on and still no case. They won’t tell me if the driver was even contacted and that they will only give details to the police.

Avoid this company

Avoid this company. Extreamly poor experience. When booking we were asked the date of birth of the passengers. I made a mistake by one number, and when trying to get this amended, they told us we can't do this, and that we would risk to be rejected traveling. The only solution they gave us was to cancel and book again, but they wouldn't refund us the money, so we ended up paying double for the same bus ticket.

Avoid please, extreamly frustrating experience.

Disappointing service and unacceptable incident handling.

Took a Paris → Brest BlaBlaBus with a 1h40 delay, paid for a reserved seat that was not respected, and the ride was poorly organized.
Missed my connecting transport due to the delay, had to take a taxi and buy another boat ticket out of pocket.
Customer support dismissed my complaint, claiming the trips were booked separately (as if that justifies refusing any compensation).
All I got was a 25% voucher, far below the actual costs incurred.
Very poor customer care. Unprofessional and shows little respect for passengers.

Paris to Amsterdam 7h without toilets!

I have been on a bus from paris to Amsterdam and the toilet is broken and the driver is refusing to stop for people to use toilets in a service area or anywhere else because,he says, the bus is late! The driver and the blablacar attendant at the stop in Lille (where the bus station was closed and no toilets were available) told the men to piss on the street while the women have been waiting to go to the toilet for 3 hours! We srill have anothee 4 hours to go and the driver says he will not stop for toilets! This is ILLEGAL and in direct opposition to our rigts as passengers, customers AND citizens! You CANNOT offer a service whereby a bus full of passengers does not offer ANY possibility of its passengers to go to the toilet for more tha. 3h,let alone 7 hours!

Pure thievery

Booked a bus to go from Annecy France to Chambéry. Turns out that the bus we chose had already been canceled when we booked it. So BlaBlaCar took our money while already being aware of the cancellation. We wrote to them via email (impossible to reach them via phone) and asked for a reimbursement. They replied and offered to give us a credit and a 50% voucher, which we accepted, but then never heard from them again despite reaching out multiple times.

A real joke of a "service".

I've been receiving annoying SPAM emails from this company, without being offered the option to unsubscribe. This is against the law of the European Union.

The response from the company is a LIE.
You can NOT click unsubscribe on emails. I just received another one.

I give them another week to solve the problem, or I will take legal action.

Blabla …totally unreliable …

Pity that blabla car is totally undependable and appeals to people’s (drivers) latent avarice rather than anything else. I’ll not be using it (3 crap experiences) or should I say, ‘trying’ to use it again and I will not be recommending it to anyone. I also suspect it’s a young persons thing and may be prone to ageism. Bla execs are probably making a tidy sum from operating it, and it is safer in organisation than hitch hiking, but other than that, unless you’ve no choice and need to get out of the Gobi desert or the Amazon jungle or you’ve got a lot of time on your hands - like a week to get where you want to go!- if it’s not related to time tabled public transport , and you can’t make it to a motorway slip road
Avoid it. I don’t expect a reaction to this. Based on 1 very unpleasant Spanish experience, 1 Spanish disappointment
and 1 last minute unreliable French one. I’m convinced the bla bla possibility is for some ‘semi professional’ drivers little more than a cheaper taxi service at best. It’s convenient for them that’s the main reason they do it.

DISHONEST AND LIARS

As many other passengers have shared here my bus was late. I was monitoring the progress of the delay on their website. Once I saw it changed to almost 3 hours I decided to take another form of transport to not miss my plane. I wrote to request the reimbursement of my ticket and their reply was that the bus arrived half hour late only that I missed it! I was there the whole time the bus never came! I think they instruct their employees to always say something similar as I could see many other passengers stating the same. I still can’t believe how dishonest this company is. They scam people and I am not sure how they allowed to still operate!
