I’m beyond words - earring post missing
I’m beyond words. My friends kindly got me an Astrid & Miyu voucher for my birthday - I bought a pair of earrings and after a couple of months, one of the stones dropped out. I returned the earrings, got a credit note and a couple of months later, I got a couple of pairs of hoops. To my horror, one of the stones came out of one of the hoops too after 2 DAYS. So returned them and got yet another credit note. I then ordered a solid gold stud via one of the stores with a 6mm post (they ordered it for me as they were out of stock). I’ve got home to my order and no post has been delivered, just the front part. Astrid & Miyu were one of my favourite brands. Receiving an order after spending £170 with half of it missing and no explanation is gutting and I feel they’re taking the absolute mick out of a really good customer. I don’t know whether to contact trading standards at this point? I’ve bought so many things for myself and gifts from Astrid & Miyu but the quality and service is absolutely disgraceful.
I’ve also already emailed and I don’t think it’s reasonable to have to wait ‘4 working days’ for an issue like this.
UPDATED - they re-sent the post really quickly, however, it turns out this wasn’t ordered properly in-store which is again really disappointing. Gone up to 3 stars now but still feeling pretty let down.

Hidden Helix Piercing
Got a hidden helix piercing today with Dobs at the Kings Road branch.
He was honestly fantastic -made sure I was happy with the placement, super professional, friendly and the piercing itself was seemless (and almost painless!)
Everyone in the shop was lovely and I’m only sorry that I don’t have the name of the girl who helped me pick the jewellery and placement.
Will definitely be back in a few months to add to my other ear!

My piercer, Dobs was very kind and he encouraged me and made me feel very brave to get them pierced as I am only 10 years old!! He was very gentle with me and I recommend him to anyone because he is AMAIZING!!!👍

Lovely experience but very expensive
Lovely experience and lovely staff. The man we had was an absolute diamond and very polite and calm. Was very happy with the whole thing however the price was crazy.
To get my lobes pierced was minimum £50 each. So to get both my ears pierced it was £60×2 for the earrings I wanted. Just for the earrings not the service. All together it was £140 for just me. Luckily I went with a friend so we got 10% off. She however originally wanted a different peircing but was told just the earring alone without the service was £210. For one earring. But they only had over £100 options for the Daith peircing she wanted. So she changed it to a mid Helix so paid £60 for that earring.
Over all I enjoyed the experience but felt extreamly let down by the prices. Especially since they dont advertise the prices before you book. (Have now found the price list but it was very difficult to track down) I felt a bit trapped like we had to stay or they took our £40 out my account. I feel the prices need to be advertised before you book and at the least offer a price for earring pairs for peircings and not just singles.
It was such a shame since it's a beautiful place and wonderful people..but we couldn't afford to go back.

Policy issue and concealing negative reviews
Lovely products and staff. But when it comes to policy, it won’t do return/refund for a product that gives me rash (due to cheaper materials composition essentially). The company website hides my review as well which is a bit cheeky
They got back to me - refund allowed, but only into their store gift card… This ties customers up when my skin reacts badly to their products which is not very helpful.

Fab experience!
I visited the Newcastle branch at the weekend for a new piercing and picked up some new huggie earrings. Kay was absolutely fabulous. Nothing was a problem, explained everything in terms of pricing, options and the piercing process. There was no pressure and made me feel so at ease. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be back!

Dob’s is fantastic
Dob’s is fantastic. Allayed all my pre-piercing fears. Talked me through each step of the process. Pierced my tragus, magically I felt no pain and continue to be pain free. Healing is going well. He’s great!
