Having an absolute terrible time with this company .Finding them causing me undue anxiety and stress .So many people dealing with important issues with regards to house sales. Definitely only interested in the collection of the money and not the customer at heart .I have had nothing but poor communication and service .Repeatedly telling them a very complicated situation and I’ve waited over a week to have replies to my solicitors .Trying to issue final demands without issuing it to the persons address .Causing me so much anxiety and do not care .They have no slowed down a house sales and now we might end up losing the house sale if they take any longer to reply to our emails showing evidence of the house sale that made clear they wanted to see. Ive spoken on the phone and I’ve had 2 different solicitors contact them and nobody has had any replies. Sent countless emails to ensure the sale of the house can continue so that they can receive the outstanding amount quickly to close the account but in Scotland I don’t seem to be getting the same service mentioned in the great reviews you have for England .As POA and trying to resolve this matter paying out money for solicitors emails it’s disgusting how I am being treated and feel so helpless.I hope someone in the management team sees this communication and helps me.I am suffering a double bereavement and mentally drained by this lack of help by Ascent via Irwin Mitchell .

Customer service is exceptional. You feel at home straight away. They are sympathetic, friendly and supportive especially required when you are under pressure choosing a new home. The properties are beautiful too! I highly commend Andrea at Wayside Point , Lynn and Bella at Choppington whose help and advice are excellent and truly appreciated.

Steve was polite and explained the situation with clarity and tried to be of as much assistance as his position allowed. By discussing my position and sorting a payment plan he made me feel less anxious about my situation even though I hate owing money.

Firstly THEY ARE NOT DEBT COLLECTORS,
I was initially in panic mode when I saw the missed calls and messages, as I have severe anxiety and ADD, and had an awful experience with my Building Society debt collection practices last year.
But based on the majority of reviews on here, it seemed as if Ascent was actually a decent go-between company.
I plucked up the courage to speak to Suaun on the phone and arranged a home visit. He arrived on time and was helpful, calming and professional. He worked through all my numbers and said he would then prepare a report for my Lender.
He completely understood my issues and was really helpful. If you are contacted by Ascent, they are not chasing you for money; they are simply providing a service that will hopefully help you move forward with your lender.

I finally got up the courage to speak to a company I didn't know, about really serious mortgage arrears with Santander.
And I mean REALLY serious.
Liked two+ freaking years-worth.
I ended up speaking with a guy called MJ.
English was obviously not his first language from the outset - and at first I was skeptical.
But as it turned out, he was the kindest, most patient, and most helpful man.
Here was me, avoiding my biggest ever worry for two years+ and I finally got up the gumption to ring.
We worked through existing debt, what I need to pay first (like Council Tax before mortgage!) and other stuff, with never a word of demand or legal threat.
I'm off the phone just 30 mins, with the hugest burden off my mind, you would not believe.
If you've got any sort of debt that this company is trying to manage for you - RING THEM.
They are honest, good people, and they are really, truly, there to help.
