My VW Golf broke down near Lewisham on Weds night, 16/09/26. Got rescued by Angel - I think his name was Connor. Firstly it was quick. Then he was polite, knowledgeable, friendly, efficient. He fully gave all necessary assistance. Top bloke.

Broke down in London with my children and Conor was a star. Very polite and very helpful.
We couldn’t all fit in his recovery truck, but he arranged for a taxi for myself and my family to have arrive home safely.

Would definitely recommend them.

I was told I was being treated as a Tier 1 emergency. What followed was the opposite of an emergency response.

Overnight: The collision happened at around 10pm. A recovery operative attended at approximately 00:48 and was told directly by police that the car could not be moved because it sat inside an active crime scene. That information was evidently never recorded or passed on, because the calls continued through the night.

At around 3:18am — more than five hours after the collision, while I was asleep — I was called again. I explained that the incident had happened at 10pm, that the vehicle was in police control, that I had no further information that could help anyone collect it, and that I needed to sleep. The caller appeared unable or unwilling to grasp any of this and kept pressing. I told him plainly not to call me again until the morning.

I was called again after 5am. Seven hours after the collision, having explicitly asked to be left until morning, I was woken for a third time — over a vehicle the company had already been told at 00:48 it could not move.

The following day: Police delivered my damaged car to my home. Before leaving for hospital, I called to arrange collection. When asked where the vehicle was, I explained it had been brought to my house and began giving the address. The operative interrupted repeatedly and sarcastically to say he “didn’t know where my house was” — while I was in the middle of telling him.

I explained that I had been in a serious collision, had barely slept because of the company’s own overnight calls, and asked him to bear with me rather than talk down to me.

His response was to tell me to find another company.

I was not abusive. I was not refusing to cooperate. I was an injured customer, on my way to hospital, trying to arrange recovery of a wrecked car — and I was mocked and then dismissed.

Recovery after a serious accident should reduce the burden on a customer, not become another problem to manage. Between the failure to act on what the attending operative was told at 00:48, repeated overnight calls that continued after I had expressly asked them to stop, and the contempt shown on the phone the next day, this service added significantly to what was already a distressing experience.

A formal complaint has been raised and I have asked the AA to retrieve and listen to the relevant call recordings.

Absolutely shocking service from Angel Recovery.

My van broke down, and AA subcontracted the recovery to Angel Recovery. From the moment the driver arrived, his attitude was completely unacceptable. I provided the garage address, yet he became aggressive, shouted at me, and turned an already stressful situation into a nightmare.

When I called the office for assistance, I was even more disappointed. Instead of helping, I felt I was being laughed at, and I was threatened that my van would be left on the roadside. That is completely unacceptable and not how any customer should be treated.

I have submitted a formal complaint and will also be reporting this incident to AA. If a company is representing AA, it should meet basic standards of professionalism, respect and customer care. Sadly, that was not my experience.

I would strongly encourage anyone considering using Angel Recovery to think twice. Based on my experience, the customer service was appalling, the communication was disrespectful, and the overall experience was one of the worst I’ve ever had.

After breaking down on wedsnday 3rd of june at 4.30 pm in Limehouse a stressful situation with Mercedes assist started. I was loosing faith as numerous call to merc assist,4 hr wait etc,passed job to our partners etc etc. angel turned up couldn’t resolve roadside so tow was sorted. A night in shining armour turned up in Connor,an amazing human,got the car on the tow truck ,neighbours were very hostile at 11 pm at night moaning about the noise. Connor waited with me as he said he wasn’t leaving me in the area on my own,I phoned Mercedes assist again who informed me they could get a hire car to me in two hrs if I waited where I was?? 11.15 standing in the street in Limehouse!! Connor said he’d take me back with the car to the depot,after getting it ok with the base. I went back got a call at 2 am Thursday 4 th saying they couldn’t a car did I want a cab. Conor in the end dropped me home on the way to another job in essex. Connor is an asset to any company,a genuine human with care and compassion. The whole team at angel that night were fantastic. Angel saved the day,not Mercedes assist !! Who were shocking. Thanks once again Connor and angel recovery

The service I received from Lucian (apologies if I’ve spelt your name incorrectly) on Friday evening was outstanding. My car broke down at a really busy junction on the A406 and was nervous about how the car would be loaded in such a bad spot and the fact my car is my pride and joy and not an easy task with a lowered sports car. Lucian was very professional, considerate and attentive with the recovery and within minutes the car was loaded and we were homeward bound. The journey home was very pleasant due to him being so outgoing and friendly. If ever I need recovery again, you would without doubt be my first choice. Thank you so much ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

"I was left stranded by the AA for over two and a half hours in a dangerous situation, where my vehicle was unstable and rolling unless I kept my foot on the brake. They didn't have any vehicles close to me (this is London), and even though I was high priority it took over two and a half hours. When Richard from Angel Recovery finally received the job from the AA, he was absolutely fantastic. He handled my car with care and complete professionalism, and ensured I was safe and looked after immediately. He turned a nightmare evening around. Huge thanks to Richard. I will be cancelling my AA policy and will use Angel recovery in future.

Today my car broke down in the car park at Enfield Shopping Centre and Kev from Recovery came to help. He provided fantastic service — very professional, friendly, and efficient. He quickly diagnosed the issue and got my car started again in no time.
I really appreciate his help and calm approach during a stressful situation. Excellent service, and a big thank you to Kev for his outstanding assistance.

He showed her an incredible amount of kindness, respect and compassion after the AA left her in such a compromising position. Excellent service right on time

I had an accident in a very vulnerable location. My son and I were waiting anxiously for the pick up truck. Alex arrived and within 10 minutes had moved the car and ourselves to safety. I cannot thank him enough for recognising our needs and acting so expediently. He drove us home, a very friendly nature. He looked over the car and under carriage and offered reassurance that the extent of the damage was not what I initially thought.
I would highly recommend Angel Recovery and Alex and would definitely use them again if I was in a difficult situation on the roads.

This company are exploting people.
They make them work for 5 days and then get rid of you.
When you raise this issues with the owner he assaults you

Absolutely appalling experience with Angel Recovery on 10/12/25. The driver who arrived in a van (registration MF72AVC) flat-out refused to recover me for no valid reason and behaved in an aggressive, confrontational manner from the start.

What made this far worse is that his actions were genuinely dangerous — as he drove off, he nearly ran me over. This is completely unacceptable and terrifying behaviour from someone operating a recovery vehicle. I was left feeling unsafe, shaken, and abandoned at the roadside.

I also felt I was treated in a discriminatory way, which only added to how upsetting and unacceptable this situation was. This was not just unprofessional — it was reckless.

A recovery company should be there to help people in vulnerable situations, not intimidate or endanger them. I would strongly advise others to avoid this company until they seriously address their driver conduct and safety standards.

Appalling customer service from the admin staff. Had no regard to a disabled man waiting 6 hours on the side of the road. Thank god for the tyre fitter who turned up to replace two tyres that I had destroyed due to being cut up by a push bike, yep a push bike. When the fitter turned up who was a true Angel, at 11pm said he had only got the job 45 mins previously and had just started his shift. The admin staff at Angel said that the fitter was on his way and was in Bermondsey which was 5 miles away. Clearly a lie !!! Poor, very poor customer focused who don’t care or have even an ounce of empathy. Hopefully one day they will break down and see how it feels.

Frank arrived on time, he had no hard feelings for making him wait, he treated my bike like it was his own, he made the journey back to me when I left my phone in the truck.

sound guy, he is an asset to the company and deserves recognition.

I can't speak highly enough of the service, if we ever have a breakdown again we'll be using this company. Connor attended our breakdown and solved numerous problems in collecting the vehicle, it was late on a Sunday night and he attended within 30mins, was professional throughout and provided an exceptional service. Highly recommended, a big thank you to Connor.

I would like to forward my deep appreciation and gratitude to the excellent professional service I have received from Mikail and Huseyni. My car was recovered to Vauxhall garage in east London by Angel Recovery on last Saturday. Both guys have been out of this world for their coordination and determination to get the car out of an awkward parking place. We couldn't move the electric car so they had to use every tool in book to get it to the truck. Not to mention the harsh cold temp at night. Thank you so much. Very happy and grateful.

A similar experience of bad driving to 'hammershud' below. A company recovery truck driver dangerously tailgated x2 cars (at over 80mph), then made highly offensive gestures to them as he overtook. Finally, he forced his way into traffic on the off ramp at the last minute. Highly dangerous and a VERY bad advertisement for their company. VRN: MH73 NGX, DTG: 11.33hrs Sat 9 Nov, Locn: M40 (Oxford ring road). Having once run a transport business, I'd have sacked this driver on the spot if he was one of my employees. They need to get a grip before this fella kills somebody.

Was dangerously cut up by one of their recovery trucks driving like a nutter trying to save 2 seconds. Had on dash cam but couldn't get clear number plate so police cannot action. Drivers like this have a habit of driving dangerously, so I will report if I see again. Avoid if you don't want your vehicle put at risk by drivers like this!!
