Purchased 4*resort placed to 3*

Purchased 4*resort but placed to 3*establishment. AMIMIR.com failed to provide resort location, admitted mistake and apologised.
Requested compensation for service not received as hotel was not ready to welcome paying guests.
Now, after 7 days and few emails, AMIMIR.com is not replying with amicable resolution.

We would like to clarify that your reservation was made at the Secret Village Budoni 4* Resort, which includes different types of accommodations managed under the same resort. In your case, you were allocated the Hotel Club Baja Bianca, which is indeed a 4-star property, not a 3-star as indicated in your message.

That said, we fully acknowledge that the communication regarding your specific assigned accommodation was not sent prior to your arrival, and for that, we sincerely apologise. This should have been clearly informed in advance, and we understand how this could have caused confusion.

Upon your arrival, you were informed at the reception and were able to complete your stay as planned. Since the services provided correspond to those included in your original booking, we are unable to offer financial compensation in this case.

Nonetheless, we are truly sorry that the accommodation did not meet your expectations. Our goal is for our customers to fully enjoy their holidays, and your feedback helps us continue improving.

I was disappointed.

After all the positives, I was a little disappointed with the company. We corresponded and talked for a whole day and within a day they were unable to send me an accurate payment link for the final settlement of my reservation. The problem started when Amimir did not deduct the final amount on time. They could not solve it, I got bored, canceled the reservation and quickly booked somewhere else. I do not understand why they could not solve such a simple problem

Easy and simple booking

Easy and simple booking. My first experience with them is very positive. Everything went just fine. They also give a discount under subscription. I will certainly use this booking site in the future. It's very convenient to use as they let you choose to pay a total or a part of the amount.

Would NOT recommend in case there are disruption to your trip.


Would NOT recommend based on the risk that something goes wrong with the trip (i.e. flight cancellation or delays), they will be completely unwilling to help.

I'm sure if everything goes completely as expected with your trip Amimir is fine to use hence the other 5* reviews. Indeed they seemed to have the best price for the hotel we wanted to book in NYC for a week’s stay. Unfortunately, our flight was cancelled due to the Heathrow closure so we were delayed by a few days. I asked for a refund from Amimir - full or partial (I will caveat here for full transparency that we did book a non-refundable hotel price). First of all, I realised Amimir uses other travel agencies to book, not directly with the airline/hotel. This creates an extra layer of complexity if things go wrong as they need to follow up with the other third party, who then needs to follow up with the hotel directly. They said that I had to agree to a full cancellation of the hotel booking in order for them to raise a refund request and implied that if the refund is not agreed, I can still use the booking (which we wanted to as we got a flight out a few days later so could have potentially still stayed at the hotel for the last couple of nights). I did agree to cancel in the case that the hotel agreed to a full refund. What I was then told was that a refund was not possible so I had to incur the full cost and upon arriving at the hotel, was told that the booking was cancelled (by Expedia, the third party Amimir booked through) IMMEDIATELY upon me asking for a refund. Not even when I agreed to their terms two days later. Terrible experience all round and Amimir then went radio silent on me and refused to help any further. Only positive with this experience is that to begin with, their customer service team was quite responsive.

As you mentioned, your booking was made under a non-refundable rate, which means it does not allow cancellations or modifications. These conditions are clearly stated during the booking process and are also detailed in the confirmation voucher.

It’s true that we work with intermediaries, and this is something we disclose transparently in our general terms and conditions. Because of this, when an issue arises, additional queries and procedures may be needed with our providers. However, this does not stop us from handling each case with the utmost commitment.

For non-refundable bookings, the standard procedure to request an exception is to cancel the reservation before a refund request can be initiated. This step is necessary to release the room, as it will not be used, and to allow the provider or the hotel to assess whether they can make an exception.

In your case, even though it was a non-refundable booking, we processed the request with the provider. Unfortunately, it was not possible to obtain a refund, as both the provider and the hotel adhered to the original terms of the reservation.

We truly regret that the outcome was not favorable. Despite the nature of the booking, we did our best to assist you. Finally, we want to thank you for taking the time to share your comments — feedback like yours helps us continue improving our service.

BEWARE of Amimir

BEWARE of Amimir. Booking screen gave total price and said all fees included. But then after paying, they added a local hotel tax on the confirmation voucher! This is dishonest. All fees included does not mean they can later charge an additional fees. Note: Their reply below that it is on the confirmation voucher is not sufficient as you only get to see the voucher with extra taxes AFTER you have paid a nonrefundable fee!

Your original booking was made at a Non-Refundable rate on a Room Only basis. Shortly thereafter, you contacted us to let us know that you wanted to change it to a Bed & Breakfast basis. Unfortunately, before our team could get back to you, you proceeded to cancel the original booking.

As you know, as this is a Non-Refundable rate, no refunds or exchanges are possible. However, we wanted to try to help you and consulted with the supplier about the possibility of making an exception. To do this, it was necessary to complete the new reservation in the desired regime and, from there, to evaluate with them the refund of the first one.

From the very first moment we indicated to you that we could not guarantee the refund, as it depended on the final decision of the accommodation and the supplier. Finally, we regret that their response was negative and they did not agree to make the refund.

We sincerely regret that we were unable to provide you with a more favourable solution. The conditions associated with the selected rate were applied at all times, which are indicated both during the purchase process and on your confirmation voucher.

We remain at your disposal for any further queries you may have.

I was skeptical when I first used this
But everything worked out! I contacted the hotel who saw my booking, I got a price £300 less than Booking.com and got breakfast.
I also had free cancellation. The service is better than any I've used, when fast email support and an instant 24/7 phone line. Be aware it is in euros so it is wise to use a fee free card if you're outside EU or in UK.

All good - clear, quick and no hidden costs. I was told in the hotel that my booking was done via Expedia so I assume it's a cooperation. I "risked" my booking via this new for me platform because of very good price deal and it was a good decision. I would use it again.

Trustful and cheaper!

I have been using it lately and it never disappoints me!Really trustful, providing better hotel prices than any other site! I would love though, more flexibility with the variety of credits cards, since with some banks, payment can t be fulfilled. Or maybe "payment at the hotel" possibility , could be an option for amimir!
