I ended my business with Chewy.com and went to AlliVet because their prices are cheaper & states faster shipping, but they’re also terrible at getting Rx refills! Their customer service agents are outsourced and clearly reading from a script, repeating the same response each time you restate what you’re asking! I’m losing hope in online pet pharmacies.

My experience with Allivet was stellar. It was my first time using them to have prescriptions filled for my dog.. the prices in the savings was better than any other site that I looked at. Unfortunately the day after I ordered the prescriptions we had to have my dog put to sleep.. I contacted Aliivet and requested a cancellation on my order. I spoke with a very nice representative who was very empathetic and sympathetic to my situation.. she canceled my order and again sent her condolences. The refund was processed by the representative as well and she informed me that it might take a couple of days for the refund process. Amazingly enough, the refund was back in my account within a couple of hours. When we decide to adopt another furry family member, I will definitely use them over and over again

INCOMPREHENSIBLE INCOMPETENCE AND INEPTITUDE
Order script for pain management for our dog using Allivet for the first time.
Vet was out so I paid an additional $22.00 for expedited delivery last Thursday. As of today, they have only created a label! Script has yet to be given to FedEx. Worthless company should never be involved in pet care!

They somehow linked a new prescription to an old pet that I had that had passed and then refused to switch it to new pet and ship out the prescription. It was incredibly difficult to get it fixed and it literally took a few weeks when my dog needed the medication sooner rather than later. I'm not sure if I will use their services again or I'll look elsewhere as of the end but it was not a great experience.

Over a month ago I canceled my autoship order (which they make very difficult to do, buring the tiny 'cancel' text under pages of beggging you to keep it, even after you hit cancel this keep asking you to change your mind). Now a month later, they are not only fullfilling my canceled autoship, they are refusing to chancel the order, lying by saying it was fullfilled *before* I canceled, which is simply not true. Allivet's policy indicates that changes or cancellations to an autoship order must be completed by 12:00 AM the day before the scheduled ship date. Tomorrow is the ship date, and since I cancelled over a month ago, they are clearly in violation of their own policies. To add salt to the wound, customer service is flat refusing to cooperate, lying by saying it was fullfilled prior to cancelation, which is not true. They are fulling it as I type this, again *a month* after I cancelled.

I wanted to share my experience with Allivet Pet Pharmacy so other pet owners can make an informed decision before ordering.
1. NO OUT-OF-STOCK NOTIFICATION: The website accepted my order and immediately placed a pending charge on my credit card — without any indication that the item was out of stock. I was never proactively informed of a potential delay. When I called customer service to get an estimated ship date, the representative was unable to provide even a rough timeframe. That's not acceptable when your pet's health depends on timely medication.
2. SHIPPING CLAIMS ARE MISLEADING: The website prominently advertises fast shipping within 2–3 business days. In my experience, and based on numerous other reviews I've since read, this promise is routinely not met. If your pet needs medication with any degree of urgency, I would strongly caution against relying on Allivet to deliver on time.
3. BILLING ERROR — CHECK YOUR INVOICE: My order clearly qualified for free shipping, yet I was charged for it anyway. Always review your billing carefully before assuming the correct amount was charged.

This company is terrible. They do not ship on time and make inept, nonsensical excuses. I will NEVER use them again. Buyers BEWARE! Go ANYWHERE other than Allivet for your pet's needs. Oh and Allivet, DO NOT try to fix your well deserved HORRIBLE reputation by responding with your dishonest, unauthentic, time wasting, excuse filled responses. We can tell your LAME responses are templates. You undoubtedly have several lame templates to choose from because you have OBVIOUSLY made every mistake possible. You lie and you deserve to be shut down. CHEWY makes you look like the garbage company you are. SHAME on you.

Bad service, will never order meds again. They held my dr's order for meds for a week before shipping. Every time I called or emailed, I was told it would ship asap. But it didn't. NEVER EVER AGAIN!

Allivet advertises coupons but isn’t transparent about the maximum savings. In the situation that occurred, there was an asterisk next to the coupon but nothing to click on or hover over to identify what fine print the asterisk represented. When reaching out to customer service, they acknowledge the lack of transparency but are not willing to honor the coupon as advertised.

I had not updated my pet information and my order was attached to my deceased cat. Emersia V. patiently updated my information while saving my first time auto ship discount for my new pet. Emersia V. and Allivet made my day!
I have not used Allivet for a long time and am happy to be using them again.
My only issue was logging into their website. I repeatedly received a "wrong password" when trying to log in. I cleared my cache and tried again. When I switched to Safari, I was able to log in. Apparently there is an issue with their web site and other browsers.

When I was able to get the medications I needed, they were correct. But the process of getting prescriptions in place was often extremely tedious. They would tell me one thing, my vet office another... The most frustrating incident they told me they'd never received my vet's fax, when indeed they had. I had to get my vet's office to waste even more of their (the vet's receptionist) time calling the pharmacy back and finding someone who was capable of actually understanding what was going on and entering the faxed information (that they indeed already had, despite repeatedly telling me they didn't!)
Not sure but I think this pharmacy used to have CSRs in the US and have since moved to overseas ones who work quickly and don't bother getting it right all the time. They certainly don't offer genuine apologies for wasting everyone's time and risking your pet's meds running out. ("Sorry for the situation" is a corporate-speak platitude when the reality is you were lied to repeatedly.)
And since you have to contact those CSRs in order to do basic things like use faxed prescriptions or cancel recurring medication orders, it's not the best situation. If I ever need a pet pharmacy again, I will probably go elsewhere or pay the higher cost to buy directly from the vet. The stress isn't always worth it.

This review refers to my expected refund. I used Allivet in the past and was 100% satisfied. In short, I placed a meds order for our dog. She unexpectedly passed the very next day. I cancelled the order before Allivet shipped it. Allivet acknowledged my cancellation request. I was offered a refund and received part of the original payment in a timely manner, after at least one follow-up. I was told on April 22 by Allivet,
"Please rest assured that I have processed a full refund to your PayPal account." Besides losing the dog who we adopted 15 years ago, I'm now paying for meds that she will never use. I'm disappointed and have expressed that to Allivet. We will adopt another dog before the end of summer and will not be future Allivet customers.
