An Post misdirected a passport that was…

An Post misdirected a passport that was renewed online. Instead of mailing it to Canada, on April 29, 2025 they instead mailed to SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA.

It still hasn't arrived.

No apologies. An Post told us that we'll just have to wait for it to make it's way to us in Canada. There's no way to track it as An Post tracking numbers don't work on the Canada Post site.

A total joke of a company.

A total joke of a company.
Rang them at 1pm about a parcel I sent 10 days ago from Tesco in Gorey. No new update since the 1st of May. "Im sorry, we are on our lunch break at the moment, please call back later or contact us through our speedy webchat. That speedy webchat takes 10 minutes to reply to a question. Very unprofessional

yet another bad experience with an post from the sorting center to the customer service chat!!!

I would have given zero if I could, do not trust, do not use an post absolutely, not so reliable, rude customer service, make fun of and they should be licked because they do not have the skills to relate to customers!! The fault is theirs but it is all in placing the blame on other entities, but I assure you that the fault is theirs, just check the tracking app to understand how they climb the mirrors to blame others!! Contact other companies for shipping both to receive them and to send them, an post makes you waste time, money and health!!!

Go with DHL!

Have sent many packages from mainland Europe to family members in Ireland and there is always a problem. Don't bother ringing them either unless you want to hear them offer you their service in Irish. This is not a criticism of their staff in Ireland but rather their disgraceful online customer service.

Addresspal Incompetence on a biblical scale…

Incompetence on a biblical scale down there now
from what used to be a great company. Got locked out of my account, told me they couldnt fix it and to get a new e-mail and new account that way. Used the word perimeters where parameters was the correct word in telling me how to enter my password. Completely heedless as far as i could make out.

Absolutely useless

Absolutely useless, claimed a parcel was never handed over to them and failed to reply to emails regarding this!
I’ve now lost a light fitting that cost £150 and they really don’t give a toss!
Avoid using this useless service at all costs!

An Post - Very bad company, very bad customer service

On the 5th of December 2024, I went to the Kinsale An Post Office to send a parcel with Christmas presents for my Family.
I paid 45 euros for the parcel, 7 euros for the box and the information I received was that the parcel could be tracked to the destination.
No one ever mentioned that it was a standard mail or gave me any other delivery options.
This was a very important time of the year, I was very careful to send it early in the month to be sure it would be there by Christmas and I was looking forward for my Family to receive the package as it was the first time I was sending presents from Ireland.
As time went by, I started realising something was not right. I went to the Post Office in Kinsale, where the service is very bad, added to a “I do not care attitude”, that really concerns me. They do not want to be bothered. They said It was too early to be worried and I should wait.
The parcel had a full address with the name of the street, number of the building and floor, local village and country. All written in capital letter with a black marker.
On the 14th of December, I phone customer services for the first time and a very unpleasant employee told me the parcel was in Portugal and it would be delivered soon. Completely wrong information. The parcel never got to Portugal and he did not want to do his job.
I have to say An Post Customer services are the worst I have ever experienced in my life. I did not know it was possible to be so mistreated in a situation like this. You pay for the service and it seems that they are doing us a favour. Unbelievable.
On the 16th of December, I phone again customer service and they told me to send a form online M58, which I did. Never had any reply or update and it is already the 27th of January. The customer service employee told me, she would phone to give me an update and to follow up. Never did.
From that day onwards, I had to phone many times. I had employees hanging the phone on my face to not deal with the situation, employees that told me that it was not because I was phoning every day, that the package would appear, I asked to speak with a supervisor and it was impossible, they told me a supervisor would phone me which they never did until today... So many wrong and completely unacceptable situations that it is unbelievable.
Along the month of January I found out that the package went to Jamaica, Newark and God know where else.
When I phoned customer service, they told me the package would be send to my house, with a letter clarifying the reasons for the delay and a form to be compensated. They told me the address was incomplete and that is why this happened. This is not true, once more. The address was all there and it is one more unreliable information.
On the 21st of January, I received the package in my home, completely destroyed, wet, made in pieces. There was no information stating why this happened and no form to ask for compensation. We had a post card signed by us and it disappeared.
I phoned customer service. They told me Lauren, the supervisor would phone me. Until today , no one phoned, I had no explanation for this very unpleasant, nerve-racking and unfair situation and I still have no reply to my M58 form.
A post service should be reliable and the customer services should be professional and efficient. They are dealing with people’s belongings, documents and valuable things. What I experienced is not normal at all and measures should be taken. It does not dignify post services and the company itself. I will never use this company again. Do not trust them and I really think it is the worst service I ever came across with.
I believe this information should be shared, so that customers in general are very careful, when choosing An Post.
It is a company that represents: No respect, No empathy and No professionalism. It is Not reliable at all, Not trustable and with a very bad customer care.
I made a complaint on the 16 of December 2024, and still, on the 3rd of April 2025, had no reply. Too bad to be true! 🥺

Ludicrous admin fees on minute custom charges

I think AnPost service is exemplary in normal day to day services but seriously how in the name of god are you thinking I’m going to pay a €1 custom charge on an item and AnPost are charging €5 admin fee. you are actually delusional, no way am I going to pay that! AnPost seriously need to look at your pricing/admin fees on items with custom charges under certain thresholds/amounts.

I am on the south coast, everything here has to go up to Portlaoise, then back down ! What a joke.My car registration cert got lost in the post recently, never to re appear. In the meantime,i had to chance my arm and drive around with no tax.Very very annoying.A company you certainly cannot trust.

If you're thinking about using AddressPal to save money - Think again

The only thing it's good for is the "won't deliver to your country" items (but you will pay a fortune for delivery)

eg.
Website "free delivery in the UK" (UK to UK)
Total I paid for "free delivery" = €36 to An Post
(goods cost €50)
Website "free delivery in the USA" (USA to USA)
Total I paid for "free delivery" = €36.50
(goods cost €18)

Disgraceful behaviour from some An post…

Disgraceful behaviour from some An post employees stating that a package was delivered on the 27th January 2025. It was not delivered. Then I get the notification in my letter box stating they tried to deliver that said package on 29th January 2025. I have been in contact with An post customer service employees four times regarding this issue. Most customer service employees were respectful and apologetic. But Rachel was quite rude, unqualified and as useful as a paper bag on a rainy day 🙄

An Post

I ordered a package abroad and everything came in time such as emails when customs charges had to be paid i paid them nearly immediately and waited for over 2 weeks till eventually it said it was delivered i went to check if it was delivered and when i went into the shop as ive delivered there multiple times and there where never issues i then only found out that the package was delivered there for a day even though on the website it said a complete opposite location and found the manager refused my package and gave it back to an post and now they are returning it to the sender which i didnt get informed of or the ability to change delivery location absolutely fuming and overall atrocious service waste of time and customer service is as about as useful as a rock.
