If I could rate lower I would

If I could rate lower I would, My vehicle was crashed into well parked and person who crashed into my car agreed to pay for all damages of the claim and person and I have been back and forth with AA just to prevent me paying “partition fee” for my parked vehicle being crashed into. Long phone calls with people who don’t understand the simple meaning of if you break something you pay to fix/replace it and apparently both people are at fault.

Terrible insurance company

Terrible insurance company. My house flooded and they told me they had no assessors or builders to help. They told me I needed to get my own damage reports, own dryers, own builders to quote repairs. This took me some time to do this as i am not an expert.
when i finally presented the documents to approval for payment, they did not approve due to getting a new cabinet in the bathroom (as you damage the old one removing it) so it was declined. They then insisted on bringing in their own assessors. This should have been done at the start. by this time is was 7 months after the flood. As it took so long, the walls and cabinets had dried, so they said its no longer damaged and wont pay out anything to repair it. Behind the walls the damage is unknown though, but they dont care.

They totally mucked me around the whole time and didnt help fix the damage.

Dont use them - you will regret it.

AA car insurance stole £100 from a…

AA car insurance stole £100 from a credit card of mine without my permission and said it was admin! Watch out they are thieves and you can’t get through by telephone ever and they stick things in small print and never get in contact regarding renewal. More expensive than most and diabolical customer service. Not even 1 star. Be very careful using them you can end up in debt

My initial call put me of Insuring with AA

I have been calling and getting quotes for content coverage. The person I spoke to was rude and almost sounded like she was annoyed that I’d called. I didn’t think much of it when she asked if I was a Miss or a Mr - I just thought it was a bit PC gone wrong. But right from the get go it was as if she was demanding all my details and anyone else in the house. The tone was also condescending and bullying/pushy. I let her know my background was in sales and also customer service and didn’t like the tone of how she was trying to push me to sign up right then and there. I decided to go with another. I remember feeling under pressure in sales and the lack of security it brings. At the end she said - I don’t think we can help you love - passive aggressive - Terrible experience!

To anyone thinking of using the AA…

To anyone thinking of using the AA DON'T, we were moving house and asked them to cancel house insurance on the 31st, they went and canceled it on the 20th leaving us uninsured for 11 days over settlement date, we could have lost everything, when I tried to complain they were arrogant and just brushed me away, I don't recommend the AA at all.

AA Home Insurance is just awful

AA Home Insurance is just awful - we had been with them for many years, never made a claim. We had a water leak at our home, water gushing out of a pipe, we called a plumber right away in order to stop more damage being caused.
Cost of repair was £426.00- we sent the claim dept footage of the leak and screenshots showing the invoice and a bank statement showing the payment was made as they had requested.
Claim was turned down as 'you did not follow your policy rules by calling us first and using our own tradesman' What?? We thought we were helping the AA by not letting the water cause more damage than necessary and saving them money.
Avoid the AA - they just want your money and they use any excuse to weasel out of paying - 😖 would have left zero stars but had to rate 1 star in order to leave review

My hot water cylinder pressure…

My hot water cylinder pressure releasing valve was leaking and as I returned on a Saturday, I needed a plumber urgently with the leak and no water.
Had huge trouble as first despite being a 24/7 service, they wouldn’t book anyone before 8am Sunday. I called back and had to escalate it to a supervisor to get a plumber (they were ok putting us up in a hotel until we sorted it, but didn’t want to send anyone!?).
Plumber was terrible and despite all parts being no more than 2 yrs old, wouldn’t replace the part. Claimed supplier shut. When informed PlaceMakers 2 min away, suddenly would only do if replaced all valves (expensive) and recommended I replace Cylinder as 22 yrs old (house built with new cylinder 15 yrs ago) and too extremely expensive and only wanted to know who paying for? Told him to leave!
Re- called AA home response where the First Lady wouldn’t do anything nor took any details and told to call back Monday. Refused to put through to manager until showed her email from manager!
Manager took details but wouldn’t do anything themselves. Also refused to book another plumber from a different company even on Monday.
Do not use!

THE WORST travel insurance company to…

THE WORST travel insurance company to go with. So slow at replying, my claim got accepted and three weeks later still waiting for payment, no one told me that the payment had bounced back due. Communication is awful.

on hold each time 3/4 hour listening to a 4 second tune repeat over and over again

Insurance claim and service is fine and no complaints. However, when they expect you to be on hold over the phone for 3/4 of an hour each time you call. I would expect something better than a 4 second tune repeat itself over and over and over again - the same 4 second tune. It is torture. I have put formal complaint through as see no reason why we cannot listen to radio or something else. Never got a reply?

Absolute nightmare of a company

Absolute nightmare of a company. Somehow they issued two policies on the same car and we’re not give me sufficient information to know about the second policy. Continued to charge my credit card on unknown policy despite eight emails and two conversations on the telephone. will definitely change companies.

10/10 AA logic

Struggle to perform uturn, a speeding old dude crashed my car, mine is broken, I could have died and the dude's is still going fine.
AA people said it was my fault to do uturn, speeding, in this case is "acceptable" I have to pay for covering his car.
Okay, saying that if I see anyone in the middle of the road trying to do uturn I should speed up and hit that car it's gonna be fine, it's gonna be fun right? then the one at fault is not me..... Great.
Better pay for someone that actually supports you. Thank you AA great job.

I am SO relieved to be paid out $1440

I am SO relieved to be paid out $1440, 7 weeks after claiming for an ambulance ride in Australia.
I paid the ambos with savings earmarked for car service/wof/insurance as I was given to expect payment within 10 days.
On an income of $600/fortnight I've been on tenterhooks.
I imagine its a very small team with a huge inbox and that my claim had to just await its turn.
Over the 7 weeks, AA has several times invited me to enter various insurance promotions, ironically even for travel insurance. I've let someone else win those.

The proof of the pudding!

I have already had an Email from AA asking me to rate their service. Considering I have only been with them for ONE week I thought it a bit premature, and just coming on this site and reading the first few reviews I don't think I've done myself any favours being with them.
As I have pointed out on other posts you only find out how good your insurance company is when you claim that's when they usually start squealing like stuffed pigs and look for any excuse not to pay out, unfortunately with car insurance you have no choice you have to be insured.
Thus far I have only ever put in a claim for an accident once in over fifty years of owning a car, even then I was treated like a leper {by my own insurance company no less] and the accident was clearly the other guys fault, and I had been with that broker for over twenty years so subsequently they lost my business.
I only hope that during the next twelve months I don't have to claim, and after that I'll probably be looking elsewhere.

I've had AA Vehicle Insurance for 12+…

I've had AA Vehicle Insurance for 12+ years and previous experiences with AA were great. Recently I made a claim. 2 out of the 3 CS Reps I dealt with were unhelpful, instructing me to find a repair centre myself. The AA benefits I pay for were not available in my area for 3+ weeks. CS reps were 'over it' and didn't try to hide it - like they were doing a favour rather than providing a service I've paid AA $1000s for over the years. The 3rd person I spoke to fixed things quickly & efficiently, but I will change insurance provider. Making a vehicle insurance claim is stressful enough without dealing with the CS version of an eye-roll.
