My Experience with First Central: Policy Voided and Cancelled
I am extremely disappointed with my experience with First Central after being a customer for seven years.
My policy was voided following a modification that I was not aware had affected my insurance. I was then informed that my policy had been voided and cancelled, and that I effectively had no insurance policy in place. This came as a complete shock.
In my opinion, the situation was not handled fairly, and I do not feel that I was given clear or adequate information before such serious action was taken. After seven years as a loyal customer, I expected much better communication and customer service.
As a result of my experience, I have referred my complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service for an independent review.
Based on my experience, I would urge anyone considering a policy with First Central to carefully review the policy terms and disclosure requirements, particularly regarding vehicle modifications, before purchasing cover. I personally would not recommend this insurer and will be cancelling any remaining policies my family holds with them. I will also be sharing my experience with family and friends so they can make an informed decision before choosing this company.
