Disappointing Experience and Lack of Professionalism – Be Cautious
I had a very disappointing experience with Autohero regarding a Lexus UX 250h we were seriously considering purchasing.
After multiple phone calls and confirmation from several Autohero agents (including the Antwerp office), we made a trip from Antwerp to Kortrijk to inspect the vehicle. Upon arrival, the car didn’t even start due to a dead battery. No prior notice, no apology – just wasted time and energy for a completely preventable issue.
We also had asked for essential documentation and information about the car’s condition, warranty, and hybrid battery health before and after the visit. While we were told they would email everything shortly, we never received any of it – not even a basic follow-up, despite further attempts to contact them.
Even worse, we were told to contact Lexus for some of the documentation, but Lexus confirmed that this is the seller’s responsibility.
This kind of customer treatment is not acceptable. No respect for buyers’ time and no transparency.
If you're considering Autohero, I recommend being extremely cautious and demanding all documentation in writing before committing to anything. Sadly, this has been a frustrating and unprofessional experience.
