So pleased, bought myself some birthday treats. Cute packaging, prompt delivery and I LOVE the saucepan so much! Definitely planning to return to the Moomin shop for more gifts, possibly even for other people.

Today was the 5th unsuccessful engineer visit for a Hotpoint extractor fan which failed upon its first use after installation. I have been trying to resolve this issue since October, my family and I have used annual leave and lost potential earnings as a result of having to wait in for these visits and there is no end in sight.

On the first visit, the engineer had not been provided with the information I supplied regarding the broken fan blades. On each subsequent visit, having made special arrangements to be at home and available, we have been told that the replacement parts are also broken. I have no idea if this is the exact same broken part going backwards and forwards, or if in fact their entire stock is unusable.

I am now preparing, pessimistically, to embark on the formal complaints process, which apparently is only possible through the post. Judging by the service so far, it is difficult to hope for a resolution through this route; it is a necessary step before engaging an ombudsman service and contacting the MD, James Goldsmith, directly.
