Review of Mr Central Heating

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Great Products, Great Delivery

I wanted a long double radiator to replace the single that we had already. It was just a standard type 22 radiator and on a Web search came across Mr Central Heating. The prices were very competitive for the radiator I wanted so I placed an order. There was good communication throughout and on the day of delivery had a call from the driver to let me know when he was going to arrive. The driver was very good and as it was a long radiator helped me get it into the right room- none of this kerb side only stuff. Well done Mr Central Heating I would definitely buy from you again!

Great Price and quick Delivery…

Needed a small piece of OSB so had a look on the web and cut sizes were very expensive and I couldn't fit a panel in the car. I had a look at Wickes and the panel pricing was very competitive and better still delivery was only £4!. Placed my order and communication about when it would arrive was good and delivery quick. Really happy with the service.

Review of Boots

Boots the Dinosaur...

On 20th Jan my wife ordered a product that she needed quickly because she was in discomfort. It was more expensive by 50% than other sites but it would arrive at the Boots store quicker than a delivery. She placed the order and had a confirmation that stated the product would be available to collect by 22nd Jan, there was no information in the email that stated to wait for a confirmation that it had arrived at the store. We set off on the 22nd Jan after lunch on the 18 mile trip to Haverfordwest to collect and arrived at Boots. We went to the collection point and gave the details to collect the item only to be told in a quite dismissive way that it wasn't there! We asked the woman at the collection point if she could arrange for it to be posted, only to be told it was not possible. We then said we wanted to cancel the order and was told they couldn't do it there but we would have to call customer services. So we looked on the web for the CS number and it stated to please wait 7 days if your order has not arrived before calling. Please tell me who on earth is going to wait 7 days if the delivery date has been missed. We had a 34 mile wasted round trip and it cost £5 in petrol! My wife emailed and asked for it to be posted, only to be told no and that a refund would be issued. No concern for her discomfort. Never will we buy anything from Boots again! They don't care about their customers. Boots is a dinosaur who don't offer anything different and will probably be one of the next casualties of the high Street.

Non Existent Customer Service and Taste Horrible!

My wife had a pack of 5 small gins for a Christmas present. When she opened them at Christmas them she noticed that they had a dates of Jan and Feb 2025. Unsure if this was a BB or use by date she emailed Masons who didn't reply but just started spamming her with marketing. Not happy as we didn't ask for marketing from them just a basic question that they arrogantly ignored. Tasted one of the gins and they tasted totally artifical so rest went down the drain. So many good quality flavoured gins out there but unfortunately Masons isn't one of them!

Hounding after online quote

Asked for a quote on line and they weren't competitive and that was a few months ago. Now getting pestering phones and I even blocked their number but they just called me from a different number. Finally lost my rag with them today and told them to remove my number from their database. They shouldn't be hassling people ke even after you have told them you have gone elsewhere....

Dear David Clinton,

We are very sorry to hear that you felt the need to leave a negative review.

After providing a quote, our system may schedule follow-up calls automatically, but once a customer asks for calls to be stopped, that request should be actioned immediately. Clearly, that didn’t happen in your case, and we understand why this was upsetting.

As discussed, we can assure you that there will be no more sale calls made to yourself.

Once again, we apologise for the unwanted, repetitive calls and frustration caused.

Don't use Fast Track Security Waste of Money

We had the same experience using fast track security as another reviewer. We bought the fast track tickets and previously had missed the queues to get to the scanners and then had a separate scanner specifically for fast track customers. However, this time we went through the fast track and were then herded with everyone else through the limited number of scanners so hardly a fast track experience. Woman on security obviously hated her job as didnt give a toss, mind you, I would probably hate working there. Made a complaint to Bristol Airport and was just fobbed off. Save yourself some money and don't both with fast track! Can't wait until the Welsh government start ploughing more money into Cardiff Airport and hopefully rob some customers from Bristol.

On the verge of harassment....

Had Hometree for the last year and had no problem with them but decided to move to a new provider due to a price increase. Canceled my policy on What's App on 1st Sept and then had an email on 8th Sept saying my dd had been updated and another email confirming my policy had been renewed then on 9th Sept I had another email saying the dd had been cancelled. On the 10th Sept another email saying my auto renewal had been removed and to contact them. So I thought eventually everything had been sorted out only to get a call today from T asking me why I had left and insinuating that the policy wasn't cancelled to keep me on the call. All he wanted was to find out how much I had paid abd where I had moved- leave me alone!!!

Tried to take my review down numerous times- didn't work!

Wow what a company! Instead of focusing on their errors and how to rectify when they sent me incorrect information they tried to take my review offline numerous times, stating in one case that I had included 'defamatory information', I just stated the truth which Trustpilot agreed with and reinstated my review.
I made the right choice in looking elsewhere, you might consider doing the same!

Erbology, what a company!, yet again trying to take this review off line for being 'defamatory'. Epic fail once again!!! I bought what I wanted from Buy Whole Foods Online, cheaper and without all the negative hassle from Erbology. Awful company....

Amateur Outfit-Can't be Trusted!

I was looking for some organic supplements and came across Erbology and signed up to their newsletter to get a discount on the first order. Looked at the email and it stated that you will get free delivery on orders over £30. The two products that I wanted to order came to £31.98 so free delivery here I come! When I put the items in my basket there was a £4.95 delivery. I was confused so emailed Erbology and they replied and said it was now £40 for free delivery after about 3 or 4 messages.
The person who responded never really answered the question and just said it was a 'mistake'.
I would have thought there would have been a gesture of goodwill instead of wasting my time with messages going backwards and forwards.
I have decided to look elsewhere now and never use Erbology!

Review of Harvester

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Don't Rely on Offers and Staff Untruthful!

We visited the Carmarthen Harvester on 26th August 2025 s we had to visit Carmarthen and it would a bit late for lunch by the time we got back home.
When we sat down there were a number of offers on show, there was a two or three course offer and then on a three sided promotional advert, Chicken Tuesday and mentioned the app. Lucky us, it was a Tuesday! I showed the flyer to the waitress and chose 12 roast chicken and my wife showed the two and three course menu and selected two courses.
We thought nothing more of it until we had gone to pay where the first receipt showed no discount, each item was charged at full price, next I said we had the two course offer and Chicken Tuesday offer. We were then told that we couldn’t have both offers. The waitress said nothing to us when we ordered and also there was nothing on the Chicken Tuesday flyer- guess what it is hidden in the terms and conditions on the app.
What I con! I then said we would split the bill, ‘no you won’t they said’ so we had to pay with only one offer taken.
I contacted Harvester and exchanged emails with Clare who said that they had investigated it and the waitress said we didn’t order off the flyer and the two course offer menu- this is just lies!
Got nowhere with Clare at Harvester CS and so that is the last time I eat at a Harvester!!!

Two Data Breaches and Unable to Follow their Complaints Procedure-AVOID

I raised a formal complaint after Carbon Law Partners Data Protection Manager wasn't able to comply with a straight forward data subject access request to their Complaints Manager on the 17th May 2025. I initially received an acknowledgement email and their complaints procedure which outlined their process and I have heard nothing since even though I have sent chaser emails with no response.
Due to a data protection breach where a previous client's details had been sent to myself and my wife I asked for an investigation and a response as to why this had happened on the 7th July 2025 and asked for a response within 30 days, those 30 days have expired and I have had no response from either the Data Protection Manager or the Complaints Manager. I wanted some assurance that our data had not been sent to 3rd parties. However, on looking through further reviews on Trustpilot I also noted that a lady called 'Sarah' had a similar experience where previous clients data had been sent to her on digital forms. What is more concerning it is the same people Laura and Sam, that handling our matter were involved in the data breach so obviously Carbon Law Partner do not take their legal obligations seriously and appear to be a law until themselves.
In addition on Google, Carbon Law tend to respond to negative reviews and ask you to contact via a business quality email address if you would like an update. My first email sent to them using this email address was undeliverable from my Hotmail account but then I manage to contact them through Gmail but did not receive a reply, so this is just playing lip service to their customers but I wouldn't hold your breathe for a reply! This company is one of the worst I have come across for conducting it's services competently and for customer service. They treat their customers with total contempt!!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

Absolutely Useless- Just an Introducer...

I looked at reviews of ClickMechanic on Trustpilot and saw good things so decided to give it a go. I thought that ClickMechanic had a relationship with the mechanics that they promote on their website but this isn't the case. ClickMechanic is just a third party introducer which takes a cut and adds zero value. When they couldn't find a mechanic even though I had provided a week's full of morning times, I then extended it to two weeks full days. I then asked if they could contact the mechanics to see when they were available and I could work around them. They said they couldn't as they just advertise the job and wait for responses. In addition they take credit card details without any guarantee that the work will be completed- wrong with so many scammers around!
They say that they wont take any monies but they shouldn't take these details in the first place unless you have a mechanic booked in. One last thing is that I have seen other review sites where people have had work so called completed and it's either not been done correctly or not done at all! When these people have contact ClickMechanic they say that it's nothing to do with them so it's up to you to sort with the mechanic, they do have have a resolution centre but I don't hold much hope of that working! They don't even formally review the mechanics who sign up, one person who had a car repaired successfully signed up as a mechanic without ant experience or qualifications.
UPDATE
Thank you for your response and confirming that you don't really add any value as you have leverage with the mechanics as they can take or leave jobs. In addition there was no mention on the vetting process of mechanics perhaps utsjust pay the joining fee and you in! I managed to find a reputable garage which worked out the same price as ClickMechanic and its booked in 7th August. One last thing, I asked ClickMechanic to confirm that they have removed my credit card details from their system which they haven't yet but of course they managed to reply to this review. As always, buyer beware, do look at other reviews on other platforms....

Reply from ClickMechanic

Hi David,

I'm sorry to learn of your unhappiness with us.

You've mentioned a few issues within your review, so I'd like to address each one of them in order to balance the narrative for the benefit of anyone who may read it.

Firstly, in terms of what we do - you're spot on - ClickMechanic serves as an introductory marketplace, connecting customers to our network of independently-trading mechanics (as indeed described within our terms of service). So it's just unfortunate you've not understood what we do/do not do.

As all mechanics trading on our platform are independent, they manage their own day-to-day operations and ultimately, decide which booking/s they accept or decline.

With regards to us requiring payment card details at the point of placing a booking request, as previously explained, this is to ensure there are available funds by which the mechanic can invoice against on works completion. If no mechanic accepts the work (which is super-rare!), then no funds are pre-authorised/charged.

Of course, if a customer is not comfortable with leaving their payment card details on our secure platform (or any other reason, for that matter), then they should not use our platform and make other arrangements accordingly.

In terms of negative reviews on us, you may have read, I totally understand how such reviews can be off-putting in themselves.

However, what I would say is that most companies receive them, and there are usually two sides to consider. I would always do a bit more research by reading the positive reviews as well and seeing what the ratio of negative to positive reviews is.

For example, on Trustpilot (which is most people's 'go-to' reviews platform), only approx 9% of our total reviews are negative - meaning approx 91% are positive, and we have over 20,000 of those!

Also, if you compare us with the other connect-with-a-mechanic marketplaces around, you'll find we're top-rated!

At Click, we take the integrity of our platform super-seriously and constantly strive to ensure only the best independent mechanics can trade on our network (and then only once we've vetted them - which we can't do until they sign up!)

We also have an in-house Resolutions Centre, as you mentioned, where you can communicate with your mechanic in writing and where we can also get involved to help out, if required.

All that said, we understand our service is not for everyone, and that's absolutely fine. We wish you well in seeking your vehicle servicing and repairs elsewhere.

Kind regards,

Alex

Excellent Customer Service and Delivery from Wasfie

I was looking for a PIV for our bungalow and came across i-sells but couldn't find the model that I wanted so I went on live chat but was initially disappointed when I saw it was a chatbot but I saw an option to chat with an agent so I clicked on it and got through to Wasfie. Wasfie found the unit that I was looking for and it was a great price. Wasfie couldn't have been more helpful and as the unit was over £75 it was free delivery. I thought I would be waiting a few days to get it but no, it came before 10.30am then next day which was fantastic!
It is now installed and working perfectly, thank you Wasfie and i-sells!

CLP-Awful Company- Breach of Data Protection

We instructed Carbon Law Partners to sell our buy to let property in September 2024 and our female solicitor LH was assigned to our matter. The first communication that we had from LH was a Sale Instruction Form which was good, the only problem was that it was FULLY COMPLETED WITH SOMEONE ELSES DATA so we now knew this persons full name, date of birth, address, email address, mobile phone number and also NI number! Good job Carbon Law Partners, complete breach of GDPR and so if you want your personal information to be sent to other unknown parties, CLP is the one for you! With all the scamming that’s going on I suggest you give CLP a wide berth.
Other issues unfolded during the conveyancing process that we weren’t happy with and like others have mentioned either on Google or Trustpilot reviews LH tends to ignore the questions that you email if she doesn’t want to answer them. I suggest you have a look on Trustpilot as the reviews aren’t as glowing as on Google, that after the property was sold I, along with my wife made a subject access request on the 10th March 2025. We then had the pleasure of dealing with the male Data Protection Manager, ES, who, bearing in mind this a single property sale, no purchase, made the SAR seem like rewriting the Bible! At every turn he created issues which we complied with what they have asked but still as of 18th June 2025 I still do not have the information that I have requested. Bizarrely, ES started copying in on email the Complaints Manager even though at that point there had been no complaint made. This seemed a bit strange to myself as ES made a big deal of the fact that he was separate from CLP, so I can only conclude that there was some collusion between them.
As you can imagine I was getting a bit fed up after all the SAR should have been completed within one calendar month and after 2 months down the road, jumping through all the hoops that ES wanted and still not getting the information, I decided to submit a formal complaint. This complaint went to the Complaints Manager WB who ES had been copying in on our email exchanges on 17th May who is also a director and was acknowledged on 22nd May 2025. They aim to reply after 21 days, I have still heard nothing after 26 days and ES had agreed to send the emails I requested on the 10th May but required an additional calendar month as it was ‘complex’- this is a joke!
I have chased both of them but no ‘out of office’ or response from either of them- absolutely nothing!
They both appear not to want to answer either the complaint or provide the information and I can only assume that they are trying to restrict access to my information as it shows that at the very least LH has been disingenuous with us or at worst down right dishonest.

Terrible Company- Do not respond to You

Raised a Subject Access Request on 10th March 2025 as our conveyancing had not gone well. They tried every trick in the book to avoid sending the information and still have not sent it. I then raised a formal complaint on 17th May 2025 that they have also ignored. If you have had a bad experience please also leave a review on Google as they are trying to keep the Google reviews stars high. They even say in their reply that you can email them on businessquality @carbonlawpartners.com but this was blocked for my email address and so I used gmail and still haven't received a reply. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY as they are not thorough and if things go wrong they will just end up not responding as other people have said in reviews.

Beko Washer Dryer Fire Hazzard. Beko CSD Appalling!!!

Bought a Beko washer dryer in Mar 24 what a mistake! Second use on the drying cycle in Dec 24 and it just got hotter and hotter. It got so hot that it warped the kitchen door on the front as it was a built in machine.Hadn't need to use it before then on drying cycle as weather had been OK and tested once when installed.Engineer came only after AO who I bought it from got involved. He condemned it on the drying cycle as he was concerned it could catch fire.Beko were absolutely useless. Beko Customer Services were a nightmare to get through to, on hold for 45min to an hour. I was promised call backs to resolve time and time again and nobody called and even lied saying I hadn't called! The drying cycle got that hot that it even scorched the clothes. AO eventually managed to get it sorted for a new machine and they were brilliant. Then I was left to try and get the repair sorted for the replacement door and clothes. Initially they refused saying they weren't responsible for their machine! What a joke. It took over 5 months to get it sorted after I submitted a small claim to the courts for damages. I will never buy Beko again and you should think twice too!!
