Great Products, Great Delivery

I wanted a long double radiator to replace the single that we had already. It was just a standard type 22 radiator and on a Web search came across Mr Central Heating. The prices were very competitive for the radiator I wanted so I placed an order. There was good communication throughout and on the day of delivery had a call from the driver to let me know when he was going to arrive. The driver was very good and as it was a long radiator helped me get it into the right room- none of this kerb side only stuff. Well done Mr Central Heating I would definitely buy from you again!

Make sure its exactly correct before ordering!

The website was clear and easy to use, and ordering was straightforward. The item arrived quickly with no issues.

However, once I opened the box I realised it wasn’t suitable for my 230 V heating system. I repacked it immediately and contacted the company to ask about returning it or exchanging it for a suitable alternative from the same brand.

Unfortunately, I was told that once an item has been opened it cannot be returned, even if it’s unused. As a result, that's £150 down the drain right there.

I’m used to retailers like Screwfix being more accommodating with returns, so this was disappointing.
My advice to anyone buying from here: be absolutely certain the product is right for your system before purchasing, because if it isn’t, you may lose the full amount.

Great service

Order acknowledgement Monday 19/1/26. Order delivered Tuesday 20/1/26. Many thanks to all at the Tamworth branch. The driver was courteous and delivered my items with care and in perfect condition.

Faulty electric boiler and bath overflow

We had an electric boiler installed which was purchased from mr central heating Edinburgh. It has not worked properly since the day it was installed. After numerous attempts to resolve this with mr central heating and the manufacturer we are being told to contact the manufacturer ourselves as mr central heating only sell the goods In addition we have been trying to get a replacement black overflow for a new bath which Darren from mr central heating took a picture of and shared with his manager Mark whilst he was in our house in October 2025 - it is now Jan 2026. My husband has called repeatedly to discuss the replacement and is being told the people dealing with this were out of the store but would return his calls as soon as possible - no calls received. My husband called again today and was told mark was out at the shops ???? Do not deal with this company as their after sale help is non existent

Things have gone downhill in the…

Things have gone downhill in the Bristol branch, I have visited the past couple of weeks on several occasions as I have big plumbing job down the road from the branch itself, every single time I’ve popped by the same person is serving who is alwaysrude and miserable. However the most recent time I went in there was another customer in the branch who was getting a completely different treatment to what I was, this other customer was told grab whatever you need including stuff out the back in the warehouse, they seemed really pally and I got the feeling I wasn’t welcome to disturb their conversation … I have asked for different items and get told ‘well if you can’t see it out here in the shop, we don’t have it’ she wouldn’t even check on the website/ system or out in the warehouse for me. Decided from that point I won’t be coming back.

Very poor mail order service

Very poor mail order service. despatch email generic with no delivery details about shipper or tracking number. Unaware of failed courier delivery because no updates received from courier, even though mobile number and email address provided.
Customer services aware of poor despatch information so company accepts complacency as part of its ethos. The re attempted Saturday courier deliver failed because it was not requested correctly by the company - hopeless.

Very bad experience

I would like to complain that we have not received the parcel. They have failed to deliver the goods after receiving my money. After checking, they passed the parcel to the wrong person and refused to arrange a refund. This is unreasonable.

Very rude staff poor service

Very rude staff , failure to deliver , I have had to chase my order placed 6 days ago! Very poor service staff are rude do not use this company they simply do not care. I have left a customer with no hotwater since last week they have a new born child . 7 days without delivery very very poor service indeed. Can't be trusted

Hello Thank you for your feedback. I have clarified with our delivery depot that the order was placed in the early hours of Thursday 24 July. The depot were aware that you needed the parts urgently and ordered them in to be sent across to them, they arrived on Monday 28th July and the depot delivered them straight away on Tuesday 29 July, Our system does let you know when ordering if stock is not at the depot closest to you and they will need to be transferred from another branch. You cant really go wrong with bags of…

You cant really go wrong with bags of salt but my delivery man was 100% top fella, im disabled so he bought all 4 25kg bags through my house and into my conservatory. Good man, he even refused my £5 tip and I had to block his exit with my chair until he reluctantly accepted it 🤣

After looking up the company it seems this is a regular complaint and the company is not to be trusted.

Really poor customer service and after service

I’ve bought many things from Mr Central Heating over quite a years including 3/4 boilers, many radiators and other bits and pieces and Never had a problem, that was until something went wrong with an item I bought!
I purchased all of the cast iron radiators for my flat that we renovated in 2021 and they looked great. Unfortunately after a few years of working great we noticed that the coating was bubbling on the tops on 2 of the 7 radiators. I had to visit the store to buy another radiator anyway so took photos we me of the faulty rads.
I showed the guy behind the counter who told me that there wouldn’t be a problem as they were well within the 5 year warranty, all I had to do was email some pictures of the radiators and the bubbling and he would forward on to head office and arrange for them to be replaced. I did explain to him that I couldn’t find my invoice but they will have it all on record under my name, he told me that they had a brand new computer system and that all past records had been deleted but not to worry as they were obviously bought from them from the photos plus Tte fact I just bought another to match. I thought to myself what great customer service. How wrong could you be!
A couple of weeks went by and I heard nothing so I sent a follow up email to see if there was any updates. Anyway again I was told no problem but I need to send more photos plus which sizes I needed! Again I followed instructions and sent it all through. Another 2 weeks went by and still no word. This time I called to chase things up to see when we will be getting our replacement radiators. This time was a different tone from the member of staff. I was now told that without my original invoice they wouldn’t be able to replace the rads! I also receive quite an abrupt email from head office that I thought was quite rude which basically said you ain’t getting new ones and that’s it. I did respond but have been ignored ever since. All the photos I sent through and the month of waiting was all for nothing. Was it my fault that they replaced there system and lost all their data? They knew I bought the radiators from them but some jobsworth has obviously stepped in and found a way out of replacing the obviously faulty products. These radiators should last for a long time, long time not 3 years.
Unfortunately It seems Mr Central Heating are great when they are taking money off of you but when it comes to giving a little back it’s a different matter which shows with there 2.3 rating on here. Quite shortsighted of them too as I certainly won’t be spending any more of my hard earned money with them again. Shame on you mr Central Heating!!!! 😞

UPDATE

I have now managed to find the transactions on my bank statements now I know what name I’m looking for. it’s under UDH and also one receipt and was told by them that they couldn’t find any history of transactions so now they have the actual dates and proof of purchase there shouldn’t be any excuses

Portsmouth store closed early meaning my husband had a wasted 2 hour drive to collect a boiler - when he got there before closing time the staff were already in their cars - their excuse was their manager said they could go early! Hubby had to drive back the next morning - 2 hr round trip and waste of fuel, to collect, not even an apology. Disgraceful customer service - had no response to my message on FB messenger either . Extremely rude and unprofessional.

Spent thousands of pounds with this…

Spent thousands of pounds with this company when I was renovating my house last year and have lived to regret it. I emailed them to ask for some advice about replacing a product that I brought from them and which broke (two of the same product broke in the same way so I doubt it was a coincidence) and they told me to speak to a plumber. The plumber didn't sell me the faulty product did they Mr Central Heating, you did. While I'm here, I may as well update that I have Mr Central Heating radiators downstairs and another company's upstairs. The Mr Central Heating radiators are by far the least effective. I think this company sell a lot of poor quality products and then when they go wrong, like to make out it's nothing to do with them. They could have at least have tried to be helpful when I emailed them about the issues I've had with their products even if they weren't prepared to replace them, but because they weren't, I won't ever use them again and I'll warn others to avoid them too.

I Don’t normally write reviews but my experience today with Adrian from the Bristol branch was exceptional,I’ve been in the trade over 20 years used many plumbers merchants and have never come across someone who is so helpful and knowledgeable nothing was to much trouble he went to exceptional lengths to sort me out with a product that’s not something you can buy off the peg , staff like this are hard to come by these days !!! 👏

Mr. Jim and Mr. Bert truly saved the day! I bought a standing radiator three years ago, but unfortunately, I misplaced the brackets needed to mount it. Both of them went above and beyond to help me by thoroughly checking their store and providing me with spare brackets. I am incredibly grateful for their assistance. Terrible delivery service being used

Ordered product, was meant to arrive the next day. We were home the entire delivery time, apparently they put a note through the door saying they tried to deliver but weren’t home, there was no note, not sure they even bothered to try and deliver it.
Rearranged for the following day, no delivery. Supposedly it was out for delivery the day after, never arrived, again we stayed in the entire delivery time. Finally 4th day, it was out for delivery and then it was said to be delivered, we did not receive anything, they delivered to the wrong address! Thankfully the kind people of the wrong address dropped it to us.
Whatever delivery company is being used just means I would never order from here again.
