Stressful, Disorganised and Extremely Poor Service

Our experience with Al Khair Travels was incredibly disappointing from start to finish.

We booked flights for two passengers travelling to Saudi Arabia for Umrah and onward to Dubai, expecting the process to be smooth and professionally handled. Instead, it became a constant battle to chase the agency for basic information. We had to repeatedly follow up for visas, transfer details, and even flight tickets. Nothing was communicated clearly or on time.

Aysha and Methab were unresponsive, slow, and failed to deliver on promises made. Each phone call required further chasing, and simple requests took far longer than they should have. A travel agency should reduce stress — not create it. Unfortunately, this booking was full of unnecessary anxiety and frustration.

The most unacceptable part of the experience was the hotel voucher. Despite requesting it multiple times before departure, it was never provided. Upon arrival in Makkah, we were left waiting and forced to contact the agent ourselves. There was no emergency out-of-hours contact available early in the morning. Only after 8:30am did someone call back with a reference number so we could check in. This is completely unacceptable for pilgrims arriving for Umrah, especially after long travel.

The organisation, communication, customer service and overall professionalism were severely lacking. A journey that was meant to be spiritually uplifting and blessed was overshadowed by poor management and avoidable stress.

Mr. Abdihannan Warsame, as the owner, serious improvements are needed in your team’s service standards and operational processes.

We will not be using this agency again and cannot recommend them to others. If you are looking for a reliable, stress-free Umrah booking experience, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere.

Review of Leonardo Hotels

Great Location but Frustrating Stay

The Leonardo Hotel in Southampton has a great location — especially with plenty of halal food options and a good restaurant just behind the hotel. The room itself was decent and facilities were okay, but a few key issues really impacted our stay.

Firstly, there are no parking facilities at all, which is a big negative. You have to use an overnight car park nearby which can cost over £11 for your stay — not ideal.

The shower and bath were not the best or the cleanest, which was disappointing. But the worst experience by far was with the room swipe card/key. It failed multiple times throughout the day, including three times between 12–1am in a single night. Reception suggested it might have been near an electronic device or magnetic card, but I’m certain this wasn’t the case. I made a complaint and, while they did offer two rooms with extended check-out for free as compensation, the repeated failures were incredibly frustrating. This really needs to be fixed, regardless of whether it’s “in their control” or not, so future guests don’t face the same issue.

Breakfast could also be improved — more hot food and variety would make a big difference. Kid entertainment was either lacking or very short-lived.

Overall, while the location is good, the negatives outweighed the positives for us.

Awful service !!!

I am extremely disappointed with National Express and their complete lack of understanding or support when things go wrong.

I had booked return tickets from Bristol to London Victoria for myself and my family. On the day of our return journey, I arrived in London in plenty of time, but due to severe delays and a fire affecting the Underground train network, I was stuck with over an hour’s delay that was entirely out of my control. This meant I missed my original 2pm coach back to Bristol.

When I finally arrived at the coach station, I purchased new tickets for the 4pm coach—spending an extra £31.30 for myself and two family members. What makes this experience even more frustrating is that the driver himself told me if I hadn’t bought another ticket, he would have allowed us to board free of charge due to the exceptional circumstances, and he assured me I could contact customer service for a refund.

I did exactly that—reached out, explained the situation in full, and was met with zero understanding, no refund, no goodwill gesture—nothing. Just a complete refusal to help, despite clear evidence that this was not my fault.

Not only was this poor customer service, but it has also left me out of pocket and feeling completely let down. The drivers and customer service teams clearly need retraining on how to support customers when unforeseen issues happen.

This has been such an upsetting experience that I will never use National Express again. If you care about reliability and decent customer support when problems arise, I suggest you look elsewhere.

Unsuccessful switch…Do not recommend!

On my first day when I switched network to id mobile the port went successfully but I had no network coverage for 3 days! Could not make call, text or data, there was no customer service number as you would expect from a reduced cost of sim only plan. I explored all options from the online chat but still was no avail. I had family emergencies and business to take care of but these 3 days of no coverage was so bad and not a good start with new network provider. In the end required a new sim and had to go to Curry’s so more effort from my side to sort this out. Then it finally worked.

Disgraceful Customer Service and Don’t fulfil on promise!

Absolutely disgraceful customer service with ASOS placed an order for shoes with expensive next day delivery as needed for younger brother big prom day. And the parcel has been returned to ASOS from the parcel delivering company. Then I went on webchat to ASOS and they’re not willing to go extra mile to sort it out. Instead they said wait 7 days till they get the package then refund 10 working days. So extremely bad service and well done ASOS because that’s one shop I can never go back to again.
