Noise and olfactory pollution!

Was reasonably happy with the gym, even though the place has no windows upstairs and apparatus is pretty basic, but a few issues meant I cancelled my membership and signed up to a rival (snapfitness) today. One issue was the dreadful smell in the men's changing rooms. The open plan design and lack of extractor fans meant that when somebody used the toilet, the whole room would stink of faeces. Urgh. The other main issue, which was a killer for me was the classes and the noise level. Screaming instructors and music turned up to 11. It seems a handful of people in a class take over the entire gym. It ruined a number of workouts for me and I walked out after 10 minutes today. I had already raised these issues with the manager, who said he would talk to the instructors. No change. Enough.

Constantly Ignored and Getting the Runaround

I reported a fault on my outside meter back at the start of May. Following a lot of nonsense with an AI on WhatsApp and then waiting for a chat with a live person who didn't appear, I began to get a sinking feeling about UW support. The AI tried to send me back to the webpage from where I'd gotten the WhatsApp link in the first place. Circular hell. Anyhow, I finally got a link to send a video of the fault to some engineers (via dfs scheduling). I get an email at the end of June that includes the line: "Please be patient with us it can take up to 14 days to initially process your query and video provided and a further 12 weeks to secure an engineer appointment." Really?

Anyhow, I hear nothing from them of any note - no progress whatsoever, but when I contact them, I am asked to provide: "Account Number, Email Address Associated with the Account, Full Name (as it appears on the account)" over and over - although they have a full trail of emails.

Roll on to the start of September - still nothing - nada. So I contact them again asking what's going on as it's been 4 months - well beyond the 14 days and 12 weeks quoted (which is a joke in itself). I was prompted for my account details again (let's delay for another day shall we?). Then I was asked to upload a video of the issue. By this time I was apoplectic. So I've sent all the stuff to their support people AGAIN. Now they tell me that they've passed on my concern to the metering team. Now. On Monday. That was 5 days ago. I am still waiting. This company will have ceased to trade by the time they get around to getting an engineer round. To add insult to injury I'm getting bombarded with emails saying "your meter reading is seriously overdue". I have been with this company for 10+ years. This will be my last year.

I reply to the company response: So I have to phone to escalate things myself?? Another 2 hours of my life wasted? It's 10 days since I was passed on to the metering team. Still nothing. Your company can employ somebody to respond to bad trustpilot reviews, but not somebody to arrange an engineer call. Of course.

Update 2 (16/10/25)
Still nothing. I was called by a member of the support team and told 3 times that she had "taken the time to call me". How positively brilliant! She told me that she had opened a dissatisfaction/complaint number. She couldn't do any more. I said fine. Then I get an email saying that my issue had been resolved! You couldn't write it. When I replied to say the issue had not been resolved, I was told to include my account details again. Kafka, eat your heart out.

Needed to transfer my domain

Needed to transfer my domain, email accounts and site content as my previous host started charging ridiculous costs once the honeymoon period was over. The technical staff were brilliant once I'd worked out what to do, and pretty much moved everything for me. No quibbles so far.

Total rubbish

Total rubbish. Food stone cold and missing items. How can it be rectified? It can't. I was refunded the delivery charge but £40 down the drain. The driver obviously took the scenic route to get our food to that temperature. You can't contact UE to speak to anybody. Avoid. Like. The. Plague.

Good online service. Prompt email reply. Good quality on goods, although coroshingle detail strip slightly damaged but only a couple of rips. Delivery driver responsible for only OK rating. Threw our product from shoulder height to drive. Not impressed.

Great service. promises kept

Ordering was straightforward although chosing a card was a bit awkward as the dropdown wouldn't take my choice. I was informed by email and text when flowers were dispatched. I received more messsges immediately after delivery. The recipient was delighted. The photo she took resembled the photo on the site. No drama at all. I would use this service again. Why can't all online services be this organized and professional? Excellent!
