We’re sorry you feel disappointed with your bed. All of our carved bed frames — including yours — are handcrafted from solid mahogany, not composite or “cheap” wood. Natural hardwood can develop small cracks over time as the timber moves, especially in detailed carving, but this does not mean the material or craftsmanship is poor.

You first contacted us around a year after purchase, at which point we requested further information so we could assist. Unfortunately, we didn’t receive a response until roughly two years later. By that time, the original slats had been replaced with non-original slats not designed or supplied by us. This type of modification can change how weight is distributed through the frame and may cause stresses outside the original design.

After reviewing the recent photos and description, we found the frame remains structurally sound and safe for its intended use. Our 12-month structural guarantee — along with the Australian Consumer Law — covers faults affecting structural integrity or safety, but we did not find such an issue in this case.

We stand by the quality of our materials and workmanship, but we appreciate you sharing your feedback.
