Laura was so friendly and helpful

Laura was so friendly and helpful. We have just moved house and I need to change house, contents and 3 car insurance and she was so helpful and nothing was a problem. Just wonderfully service thanks so much Laure and YOUI 🙂

Terrible and so stressful process with…

Terrible and so stressful process with these guys. I wasnt at fault. They pushed me to write off my vehicle for cash. And I when I said I want it and I dont want to be written off, they said we understand its drivable but cost of fixing it exceed. I said then cancel my claim and ill go and fix it myself. No. They again pushed me because you already did the assessment, we cant do it. After 2 days of calls. Finally they cancelled my claim and I could have my vehicle back. Very stressful. Had 2 vehicles with these guys for 13 years. Both policies are cancelled now. Very weird to push you to write off your car when its still drivable and has roadworthy. And when you say please cancel the claim!

Great Customer Service

Spoke to Jess to review and update two comprehensive car insurance policies. Jess was professional, polite and checked all the details and was able to offer a discount on the current premiums! All done within a 10min call! Very happy!

Massively dearer this time around

I was quoted 34% less in November '25 compared to May 2026. This was despite my cutting out $56k in contents cover and adding only $4k to the building cover.

I can only think the large increase is funding the massive advertising campaign, which is really starting to grate.

I have my car insurance with Youi. It only increased by 10%. Happy with that.

When I rang asking about home cover I thought they would refer to their previous quote which was competitive. No after 20 minutes on the phone I learn my fate.

They apparantly don't want my house insurance. They wanted $1k more than with the last quote.

I only requested the 2nd quote because I was told there would be a discount for having a second policy with an aligned renewal.

(Note: My circumstances were unchanged between the 2 quotes.)

Worst of the worst

After receiving a number of quotes for my Caravan last year I decided to go with Youi. They were good until they weren’t.
Another company was recommended so we changed. I then noticed that Youi had automatically taken $ from my credit card and renewed my policy without my approval aa well as increasing the cost by an additional $100. By the time I noticed I had two policies I called them up and it took about her 30 mins going from one team to another and a hundred questions to get a refund. They then offered $150 discount stating I was an important customer (even though they increased my cost by $100 without me knowing). When I still asked for a refund they took $30 fee for cancellation and deducted the days from start of policy even though I never agreed to renew or go on auto payment. Criminal. Frustrating.

Youi have been outstanding throughout…

Youi have been outstanding throughout my claim. I was injured in motor vehicle accident, and they contacted me straight away, paid for the days I needed off work, reimbursed any medical costs, and continued to cover all future relevant costs, which included organising a private car to and from medical appointments.
My case worker, Mirna, was extremely professional and always available, and very efficient with organising everything i required.
I am so impressed with my husbands youi insurance, that I'm planning to swap my current insurance over to Youi.

$30 cancellation fee, wasting my time etc

YOUI kept upping the monthly cost, multiple time within a year.

Decided to look elsewhere and found a much better deal with AAMI. I called up YOUI to see if they'd match it and they didn't so went with AAMI.

Everytime I called they kept saying the cost was $1700 when I was previously quoted $1400 told them this then suddenly oh it is $1400. The lower quote was even on my account already.

When I called YOUI back to cancel, the lady I was talking to kept me on the phone for over 30 min trying to convince me to stay by "seeing what she can do" and talking to her manager. Couldn't come close to the same amount. Even at risk of losing me as a customer. Kept insisting they're better and to check reviews here. When infact what you offer is not better.

Finally got her to cancel it then to add insult to injury she says "we hope you come back next year and see what we can do for you." Then proceeds to say there is A $30 CANCELLATION FEE...... ARE YOU F***ING SERIOUS!?!? I would have considered coming back right up until then. GOOD RIDDANCE

PS. The only positive is you get through to a person pretty quickly.
