I had tony as my first instructor. We had a good first lesson and he sent me a link to leave him a review, as he does with all his students, and was very pushy about it. (this is why all the reviews are so good and they all say “i’ve just done my first lesson”) It all went downhill from there as he didn’t take the time to teach me basic skills - so with my new instructor I have now found gaps in my learning and have had to push my test back. At one point he booked a test for me, without my permission, and then insisted I gave him £120 for it and claimed the extra money was for admin and search fees. I told him he needed to cancel the test as it was booked for July, I only started lessons in April, and I wasn’t ready. He retaliated with “I can just push it back for you”. I told him I thought this was unreasonable as theres no point paying so much extra money for an early test when it’s just going to get pushed back anyway. He refused to cancel it for me so my mum helped me to do so. He then gave me grief about this as well but I basically said this wasn’t my issue as he didn’t even ask before booking. Tony also sits on his phone for most of the lesson - due to this unprofessionalism and poor teaching, I ended up mounting the curb of a roundabout while driving very quickly. The dual control of the car is there for a reason, if he wasn’t on his phone he could have used it. Furthermore, he showed up late and finished the lesson early almost every lesson without fail - he’s done this to two other people I know as well. Tony also booked lessons on the Total Drive app without asking if I have availability, he does this for all his other pupils as Im aware of a few instances where pupils haven’t realised he’s don’t this, he shows up at their house, and then proceeds to charge them when they can’t do the lesson. As i’m a college student with a part time, minimum wage job, I can’t afford to do more than one 1 hour lesson a week, given the extortionate prices of his lessons. He became very pushy about doing more hours of driving a week and then fobbed me off to a new instructor when I told him I couldn’t afford to do more than our current amount of lessons. This instructor wasn’t a good one either and charged the same extortionate prices. The prices are ridiculous considering the extremely poor quality teaching, disorganisation, and rudeness from Tony. I would not recommend this instructor at all as he is simply just a little money grabbing goblin who could not care any less about if you pass your diving test or not.

Tony is a great instructor, so far only had him for one lesson but he helped me understand the basics quickly and I’m advancing quicker than I thought I would due to his help. I would highly recommend .

Really enjoyed learning with Tony, I was able to pass in only two months from stating lessons with him. He has an app which keeps good communication and you’re able to book lessons from. Highly recommend!

Laidback chill lessons which make learning comfortable and less scary - passed first time after 30 hours of lessons. Quite expensive however a deserving instructor

Tony was an excellent driving instructor for my 17 year old son who passed his test in record time. He was always very prompt and flexible with times and he was happy to pick up and drop off in different locations, ie school, home etc. My son said he was a very likeable person and would certainly recommend him.

Tony helped me pass my test first time through his excellent communication and simple explanations. Really helped take the pressure off getting into the driving seat for the first time to becoming a confident driver.

Really great instructor, very calm and reassuring in times of panic and insecurity. Passed my test after only a handful of lessons!!

So far I’ve had 1 driving lesson and everything was explained to me throughly. This made me confident with my driving as my instructor also kept very patient which calmed nerves of driving on main roads and roundabouts for the first time. With my instructor I can see myself improving well so really recommend.
