Yogamu is a scammer
Yogamu is a scammer. Do not order the yoga 200/300hr manual!!! They will not send it. I am so disappointed with this company and paid $200+ for the manual and shipping to Canada and i have still not received it and they will not refund my money!!! Customer service sucks! I ordered this manual back in June. Shame on you Yogamu!
Response: After several attempts at contacting you since June, i have a received bogus tracking number and the courier company states the product was never delivered to them to ship. I have contacted you many times and brushed off each time or my concern has been ignored. It's very disappointing.

Customer Service disappointment for Young Student
My daughter and I took Yoga teacher training course at Yogamu. My daughter needed a simple form with a signature stating that she had completed the course for her to get physical education credits at her school. I emailed them multiple times and I spoke to customer service representative multiple times. Each time I spoke to them over the phone they promise that they would email the form back, but they never did. They seem to be more interested in new business/subscribers. Paid customers no longer matter.

Yogamu 🥰
Finding Yogamu was definitely part of my path. It’s been an amazing experience and wish I found them earlier.
I took an in person yoga teacher training years ago and it didn’t cover half of what I learned during the 200 YTT at yogamu. The handbook alone was incredible. I really love that they are based in India where there is more of an eastern approach to teaching which I throughly appreciate. It’s wonderful that it’s self paced.. because we all know life can get in the way sometimes. This made it possible for me to do more when I can and not stress about time limits.
There are live classes everyday with very knowledgeable teachers. I know it can be hard with time differences depending where you live, but when I travel I still could find a class to enjoy.
The support you get is really great too! There’s an online community of yogis where I see so many positive posts and the yogamu tech team is wonderful. Even if you don’t hear something right away, they are there to help, things happen. Just reach out again.
I could go on and on talking about all the benefits. But I found where I know I’m learning and want to be to gain knowledge in yoga. The price is very affordable too, so to try it out and see if it’s a right fit for you in my opinion worth it. But you might get addicted to yoga by yogamu 😋
Too Big Too Fast?
Yogamu provides cheap and accessible mind body spirit wellness education classes. No more $5,000 teacher trainings! But it is not shall we say a high end experience. I don’t think it’s a scam but I don’t necessarily recommend it if you can afford better. I completed the 300 hour training and submitted my final exam and 1 hour teaching video, and two and a half months have gone by without finding out whether I passed. I sent email after email, and I received only automated help desk tickets and the occasional “we will be sure to pass your concerns along” email from the support team. Did I pass or not? I still don’t know. I have paid for a 200 hour, a 300 hour, breathwork, chair yoga, and other courses. I completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training, got a certificate and Yoga Alliance certification. That was great! And completed 100 hour meditation teacher training and got a certificate. But now maybe there is no one to certify people? I don’t know if anyone is on duty. I paid for the yoga therapy training but haven’t started it because I don’t know if I’m 300 hour certified as yet! They sell a lot of classes, but service is rather limited. If you can wait indefinitely for certification, then give it a try. There’s often an amazing sale. Wait for a great sale, then wait for something greater or make an inquiry. They are still serving prospective clients, just not longtime clients like me! If this sounds bad, it might be worth spending a little more money and doing more research.
UPDATE October 31, 2024
I got nowhere with my request to have my final submission reviewed for potential certification. Two and a half months of emails to the official address and emailing staff members directly: nothing. Shortly after I put up a mixed review on Trustpilot, I received a warm, personal email from the email address of the founder of the company apologizing for the delay. I then received a 300 hour certificate, and my new credential was verified with Yoga Alliance. I am now officially a 500 hour certified yoga teacher. The cost of this training was less than one tenth of what I would have had to pay at an in person training and I was able to complete it on my time frame. If you have more interest in yoga training than you have money or time, Yogamu is an option to consider. The world needs more yoga not less, and Yogamu lowers financial barriers. If you do not have enough time or money to go away to a retreat to get credentialed, and you are willing to design your own experience within the course framework, and you can connect with others to get feedback about your teaching, and you don't mind waiting for your credential indefinitely, then you get the same certification from Yoga Alliance as people who can afford to go to Bali for a month.

BUYER BEWARE ⚠️ Yogamu is a total scam
BUYER BEWARE ⚠️ Yogamu is a total scam, waste of your money...DO NOT sign up for their programs as they are not even legitimate!!! it has been 10 days now since I requested a full refund from Yogamu for a special discounted 'face yoga course.' On September 18th, I registered for the course. I waited for one week to receive the course materials and did not receive anything at all. I even tried logging on to my Yogamu account that I still have from having taken Meditation 🧘♀️ Training in the past. I was extremely disappointed by this. I could not access the course at all. I could not get through to anyone either. I was really looking forward to taking this.
Then when the money was taken out of my bank account for the course, and I realized how expensive the fee was for me in Canadian dollars, with the exchange rate, I realized that this is too much money for me at the moment, since I am not working currently. Since then, I have sent many e- mails starting on September 24th requesting a full refund. Each e- mail I receive a reply back with a ticket number staying that someone will get back to me, and no one never does get back to me. I did receive a response that said my ticket would be investigated and if I am found eligible for a refund, then it would take 7-10 days to process. Additionally, I have called multiple times. Most of the time, there is no support person to speak to, only a messaging service. And so I have left several detailed voice mail messages and , again, no one ever gets back to me. I finally spoke to a real person about 3 days ago who told me that it takes 7 -10 days for a refund to go through and he said that he would double check it for me and ensure that things are processing correctly. Today it has been 10 days, and I still have not received any kind of refund in my bank account and have not received a phone call back or an e- mail.
At this point, I am beyond frustrated and pissed. I have read the negative reviews on Google and at the Better Business Bureau, and they mostly all say the same thing as what I am saying right here This is the worst, most horrible customer service and educational course training school, unreliable, unprofessional, unethical place I have ever seen before, and this is completely unacceptable. This business is a total scam and fraudulent. Do not waste your time or money here!!!!!!!!!!!

I love yogamu
I was lucky enough to purchase a package of many continuing education courses, as well as my 300hr YTT and yoga therapy course. Each course has been a wealth of new comprehensive information and the staff are so responsive to any inquiries I have. The live classes are diverse and offered across many times, so I've been able to find classes to attend.
Scammy
Scammy! Courses are super awful, bad instructors videos, errors in reading material!
They make you go through hours of it, and then not give you the certificate or respond back to the emails.

If I could gives less I would
If I could gives less star I would. After i finished passed and submitted my course, did not hear back. Emailed upteen times to no avail!
Read their Facebook reviews similar story to mine.

I have already contacted you via that email! It just gives an automated reply and generates a ticket number... and no body really responds. Also have left a review on Facebook etc
Better Business Bureau and Yoga Alliance are next. Honestly I only enrolled because your org was Yoga Alliance affiliated. I do think they should remove you from their registry, if they themselves have any standards. And when that happens, it wouldn't be a waste of time but Karma.
Also have screen capture of your final quiz with errors! even though I did pass it. I would email that to them too, to show how shoddy your online course is.

Scammers
I purchased several courses which of 1. I never received a certificate off after finishing 2. asked for a refund for a course purchased as the quality was incredibly low: the course content was worse than things that can be found on youtube these days. It was impossible to understand the teacher due to poor sound and heavy accent. the Costumer service is not replying to questions and questions of these kinds are posted in their facebook groups don't get posted. Yogamu's business model is based on selling volume targeting western students, paying low Indian wages to their teachers. They don't really seem to care about quality or their students
Edit 3 september:
1. You are selective in publishing posts on your facebook group. I have sent posts several times after your 24/7 team is not available neither on the email address provided.
2.What more details would do you want if already mentioned some of your courses are of poor quality in terms of content plus no possible way of understanding whatever the teacher is talking about. I already sent several emails about this with a refund request. The question is why you are not replying to these emails??
3. It is not unusual people not getting their certification. I have screenshots of the many complaints of other people on social media.
Why is your 24/7 support still to this date not replying on any messages?

Patient and engaging instructor
The instructor is the reason for this review. his method of teaching is very detailed and engaging without making the student feel unaware or inexperienced. Being able to participate with him while he not only goes through it with you but spot explaining parts that are better to see while being coached into the proper alignment. this method helps me as a instructor to know a spot on method to adopt in my own teaching/coaching.
If you are on the fence, dive in and go for it!
Let me first say-if you are on the fence about enrolling in a course from Yogamu, DO IT! I have zero regrets-well only wish I had found them sooner! The self-paced courses have been great with the ebb and flow of life. And the variety of courses-awesome. But there are 2 things that are A++ for me, the teachers and support, AND the community! (I have my favorite teachers-but they are all incredibly kind, overflowing with knowledge, and they care about their students!) tons of live classes, and they are as interactive as you want/need them to be. I have completed 500 hours of YTT (and more) and the Yoga Therapy program is excellent-I am currently enrolled in that program. Good luck with your journey whether it’s to become a teacher like I did…or just expanding your practice and knowledge of yoga!
Most expertise, most offerings, very affordable
I can’t recommend Yogamu highly enough. They provide a wealth of information and expertise for all of their many classes, at an extremely affordable price. Yoga - basic and specialized, meditation, breathwork, Ayurveda and its applications- these concepts are now within reach of everybody. Multiple learning formats- print, live classes, recorded sessions, and multiple ways to get support. Very caring and experienced staff.
Don't bother
Bought a couple courses from them. The teachers are clearly knowledgeable and passionate about what they are teaching. The way the school is run, however, is a completely different discussion.
For larger programs like Ayurveda or Yoga Master, little to no guidance on where to start or a recommended progression through the course is given. There is no outline or other information to give you an understanding of what you need to work through in order to complete your studies. I asked for all of this nearly a year ago and have gotten zero response.
Additionally, the accessibility for the courses is awful. Some are all text based, some are video... There is zero consistency, and if you have any disability or a different learning style, good luck.
Instead of taking the time to address these issues and improve the courses for current students, the owner of Yogamu is cranking out new programs. Definitely wish I was not past the point I could ask for a refund because at this point I don't know how I can continue with my learning. Feels more like a money grab than an intentionally built yoga school.
Yogamu courses are part of a wonderful…
Yogamu courses are part of a wonderful compendium of knowledge available online 24/7. With expert doctors and practitioners regularly teaching you to put theory into practice it has been a boon to me and my family. Yogamu is very recommended as an education and medical advice provider.
Life changing
Studying and practicing the curriculum changed my life. It’s a wonder to me that it was made so affordable. On top of being affordable scholarships and payment plans are available making this ancient wisdom and authentic teachers teaching it available to anyone willing to invest the time into their own education, self improvement, etc.
I prayed for it and it was given. I’m just grateful beyond words.
Great school with teachers that truly care
Great school with teachers that truly care. Pricing is unlike anything you will find elsewhere. If you have any doubts about whether or not you can learn authentic yoga online, set those doubts aside and give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
Yogamu is a wonderful school
Yogamu is a wonderful school, a wonderful yoga community. I've been with Yogamu since it's beginning year 2020. A life saving healthy approach to living life as a peaceful, productive, genuinely happy soul. The courses are all encompassing and of the highest quality standards of teaching. Namaste.
The meditation course is life changing
The meditation course is life changing. Wonderful in my experience, and I am so grateful.
Yogamu: Strong Knowledge and Dedication to Yoga
I enrolled with Yogamu Nov of 2023. I practice with the live classes everyday. They offer amazing knowledgeable instructors. This is the best investment I’ve made for myself. If you are unable to attend live classes, there are prerecorded classes available. Most of the instructors are based in India. I am grateful for the motivation and encouragement during daily practice. Thankful for the wisdom, advice and guidance. In the last 6 months, I have learned so much about the ancient wisdom of Yoga and skills to also share this knowledge. I have finished my 200hr YTT & currently working on more certifications with this school. Yogamu has guided me on a journey of love & compassion...and an understanding.. We WILL bring more love and kindness in the world by spreading yoga.
I am very happy with classes
I am very happy with classes. All of the instructors are helpful and engaging and really want you to be your best. I highly recommend Yogamu.
