Millions of computers (and people’s hard-earned money) are thrown out every year, usually due to simple problems that can be easily fixed. Mark couldn’t stand the thought of that and wanted to do something about it. Using his background in technology, Mark set off with his son Adam on a mission to come up with a way to help people get more life out of their outdated or broken computers. What they came up with is Xtra-PC. The team created Xtra-PC as an affordable and effective way to have an extra PC. Xtra-PC transforms old, unsupported PCs and laptops, allowing unused or compromised computers to be used again. We are committed to making old computers useful again and avoiding the unnecessary throwing away of hardware. Our location on the Colorado prairie defines our values of hard work, simplicity, sustainability, and the entrepreneurial spirit.

My order was delivered one less than what I paid for. I contacted PhotoStick explain the problem and asked for refund which they did straight away. No trouble communicating with them.
As most reviews are saying this is a total scam. It does not work at all. I wish I had followed my instincts and not bothered. To all of you people out there considering this pile of rubbish don't, you will only regret the wasted money. Just for added insult these scammers make it nigh on impossible to contact them and as far as refunds are concerned forget it.

This is just Ubuntu Linux with a theme installed on a very slow usb drive. The usb drive is a very slow usb 2.0 drive, all this drive is running is a free linux that can be downloaded from the internet for free and copied to a usb. The usb drive it self is worth maybe $10 its the cheapest one you can buy.
This is not worth it. Just download linux from the internet and install it on your own usb drive.
There are guides on how to install linux on youtube and its 100% to download and do yourself.

Very good experience works as advertised and better than expected. Keep up the good work
Xtra-PC was bought for speeding up my Dell.
My computer ticked away, even with a black screen. I had to take the battery out and the power off, then reset the computer keeping my files. I did in fact put all my files on an external drive.
Fear and fear alone, and a what if made me do it, hoping 82% of your reviews were wrong. Losing my book files would have made me ill, as it was on BIOS I was asked to alter the Boot, and it came with a warning.
While it’s obviously making the company a lot of money, it will do until 90% cent plus reviews will have uncovered that it wasn’t so perfect. I think you were lucky to get 2 stars from the many. Your company would be the perfect contestant to have in the opposite corner of the ring.
Xtra-PC came with no instructions as to what it is supposed to do. It appears to be a separate operating system that operates independently of Windows 10. Fortunately I installed it on an old computer, and I could not detect any speed up in the system. I did get a lot of cheery marketing emails from the supplier trying to sell other products, that I have to assume are equally useless.

The photo stick for our android was easy to us and more convenient than us downloading pics from our phone to our home computer.
Hi all,
I hope everyone's well. I finally received my Xtra-PC stick, although it did work and as it acts like a SSD drive it does speed things up. however, I found it very unstable, for example a few times it went into screen saver mode and I couldn't get back to the desk top! Its a good idea but unfortunately for me I didn't deliver the promised results! If you want to speed up an old computer, purchase a SSD drive, quite cheap now and get the family computer whiz (All family's have one) to fit it. I've given 2 stars for the innovative idea. Stay safe everyone.
Complete scam and very overpriced don't buy! This company are selling a free software with a under £10 USB stick at a ridiculous price while lying to you about what it will actually do for ur pc this is not going to make ur computer much faster (you could make a better one yourself in 10 minutes!) Please check out the YouTube videos before spending money on this and you will see how fast it really is. I completely understand why somebody would rather buy something like this then make one themselves which is perfectly fine but to charge 3 or 4 times what the products actually worth and make false claims about the speed plus not mentioning the big draw backs like that most Windows programs will not work with this and that the cheap usb sticks they use can fail meaning you will lose all ur data honestly it's no wonder there are so meny bad reviews on here. You'll be better off buying a newer budget computer or Chromebook second-hand there not too expensive nowadays and for the price they are wanting for this you may as well put the extra to it or take your laptop/pc in and see if they can upgrade parts another cheaper option then buying a PC outright in some cases
I’m sorry to inform you that xtra-PC product didn’t meet my needs. All my programs are gone. I don’t care if it is faster if I don’t have the same desktop Icons. I need my programs and I’m not going to download it again. I come back to the old version. Besides I overpaid. $46 ??? same thing on Amazon costs $24. I need my money back.

I purchased the XTRA-PC to speed up my computer. No real instructions with the delivery, no phone number to contact anyone. if you get on to a chat line, they give you a website for instruction but you have to turn off your computer when doing this so you don't see the video describing what to do or what to expect. Useless and I now can't return it. I would never purchase from this site again nor recommend it to anyone

super fast shipping and customer service.
Their product is a Niche Product that is very Good if You want to learn LINUX computing. It is a very valuable tool that is VERY transportable and has a lot of Value if someone is inclined to learn a less simpler operating system than MS Windows. Well worth the money to get the High-End version of the Xtra-PC 64 device.
it did not work for me or my wife DO NOT BUY! I have asked for a refund and had no answer so their 30 days refund means nothing
Device loaded as advertised. Instructions indicate files on HDD are available. I could not access them. Tech support suggested switching USB port. Results were unchanged. Second tech support person informed a day later that files on HDD would not be accessible. Requested a Return Goods Authorization as product does not work as advertised.
This USB stick only contains Ubuntu, a free program.
Who wants to pay more than 80€ for something that's supposed to be FREE?
I wonder how they can get away with it. They should be sued!
Roland a very disappointed customer
I didn't buy this, but i need to make people aware that this does NOT make your pc faster, it simply starts another operating system similar to windows thats not compatible with windows software and that can be obtained for free. Do not buy this USB stick. The advertorial is completely misleading.
Absolute waste of money! I would send it back for a refund but firstly their returns policy says you can only return it unopened/unused. How can you possibly test it without opening it and plugging it in? Also, by the time I have deducted postage both ways it is not worth the effort for the refund I will get.
Quote from Returns Policy: "WE DO NOT ALLOW RETURNS OF OPENED PRODUCTS UNLESS THE DRIVE IS DEFECTIVE, AND ANY SUCH RETURNS MUST OCCUR WITHIN 30 DAYS OF SHIPMENT OF YOUR ORDER.
You must contact Xtra-PC at (can't post email address) to receive an RMA# for any return of a defective or unopened product. Returns received without an RMA# will not be processed.
ONLY RETURNS OF PRODUCT WITH AN RMA# AND EITHER IN ORIGINAL, UNOPENED, NEW CONDITION WITH ALL ORIGINAL PARTS AND PACKAGING, OR ACTUALLY DEFECTIVE WILL BE ACCEPTED. IF THE PRODUCT SEAL IS BROKEN, OR OUR TESTS SHOW THAT THE DRIVE IS NOT DEFECTIVE, THEN NO REFUND WILL BE ISSUED."

I purchased 2 Xtra-pc sticks for our work computers. The product website and marketing are misleading. The product did not fix our computer it wouldn't even work with our current software. After I followed the set-up instructions I thought I had done something wrong. I had to contact them with their chat help. Which is the only way to get help. They would not give me a phone number.
I also realized their stick had made changes to my computer. The text and images on my monitor all have shadows now making it really hard to view. The time was also changed on our computer which I thought was strange. The tech support chat said they could not help me with my screen display and told me to contact HP to help even they were the ones who changed my screen somehow.
They did offer that I could apply for a return. I was sent a form to fill out and was told the shipping would not be refunded. Their support "manager" on shift told me I agreed to the conditions when I made the purchase and I was not forced to use the product.
He sent me the link to their return policy but the link on the form they sent me had a different return policy. I asked him why there were 2 different return policies and he couldn't give me an answer.
They cut me off the chat at one point.
So I have to mail it back to them on my dime which cost me $30 plus the $16 it cost me to ship it to me. It says on their refund form it can take up to 60 days for a refund as well.
My advice, do not purchase this product it is not what they promise it to be.
I am highly doubtful I will get a refund from them based on my experience with their tech support and customer service.
