Great location and experience

We came to Amsterdam for the Harry Styles concert and like other reviewers, the location of the Hotel to the stadium and central Amsterdam was so convenient -you could walk to the stadium and the metro into the city centre is only a very short walk from the hotel- we were pleasantly surprised! The hotel is located in a safe area and 3 adults comfortably shared a good sized triple room. Effortless automated check in and check out was great too. Thanks very much and we will be back!

I highly recommend this hotel

I highly recommend this hotel! The location is excellent and very convenient — we came for a concert and really appreciated the hotel’s location and the fact that the Arena can be reached on foot. There are also good connections to the airport and the city centre.
The hotel is new, very clean, and the staff are very pleasant. There is also the possibility to leave your luggage before check-in and after check-out.
Everything was great!

There wasn’t a single bedsheet on the bed. Instead, there was one sheet coming from the head side to the middle and another from the foot side to the middle. How can a hotel do something like this? I have never seen such a thing in my life, not even in a hostel. It makes no sense and feels absurd. I don’t even want to talk about the pillows. The inside of them was yellowish, and the pillowcases themselves were not clean either. There was also something like a very thin 15 cm mattress on the bed. Even when you turned the air conditioner off, it kept blowing air continuously and making noise.

By the way, I think I forgot my earphones in the room, and nobody even contacted me about it. It’s not very important, but I wanted to mention it. I think I’ve stayed here around four times before, and I even recommended this place to someone once, but after this experience, definitely not anymore.

Never again

We had to change our dates and had to pay double in the end. No extra day or anything, the staff was also very rude about this. It was very hot during the week-end and the AC does not work at all and we were also unable to turn off the heater in the bathroom. Breakfast is not too bad but 20€ ? Way too expensive. We had dirty towels in the bathroom as well... For the price I expect everything to be perfect but it was just horrible :/

An amazing experience

We truly had an amazing experience. Went to Amsterdam to see Harry Styles, not only this hotel was close to the stadium he was playing at, it was also close to the city centre, as well as the airport! The staff went above and beyond, especially Victor, who on our first night helped us tons with our dinner. Thank you so much Victor, you made our stay truly unforgettable, it meant a lot to us. The room was amazing, everything was clean and we felt really safe! All the staff spoke fluent english and let us leave our bags in the storage room after our stay, as our plane was leaving late at night.

Okayish for business trips

Pro: Staff very friendly and helpful, location in the south part of Amsterdam good to get to.

Mediocre: Breakfast, big selection but nothing special.

Con: Bed was not clean, and I don't need discussions with the front desk when I see two different hair colors and stains in the sheets. The desk to work at was missing a simple desk light. The parking charge 25Euro/day may seem fair for the region, BUT due to the fact that it is no garage/no roof covering your car and this is a bit close to the coast, the local seagulls will make your vehicle quite dirty.

It was wonderful experience

The transportation to downtown Amsterdam were more convenient than expected.
Three adults stayed in a triple room, and it was quite comfortable.
There was also plenty of parking space.

My reservation was cancelled due to a communication issue with booking.com, but I resolved it with the help of Tommy, a hotel staff member.

We settled it over the phone, and although it was difficult because I am not fluent in English, Tommy explained everything slowly and waited patiently until I resolved the problem.

I would like to express my special gratitude to him.

Pretty bad experience

Pretty bad experience during the last leg of our Europe trip. Check in is scheduled at 3:00pm. We came to the horel from Paris via Eurostar at 4:45pm, room was not ready. We waited in the lobby until 6:15pm, room was still not ready. We have a 4 year old and 1 year old, so this was a terrible time for all of us just waiting for them to give us our room.We had to completely change our plans that night and just waste time at the hotel.

I wanted to talk to the manager to address this, but the manager never was there during our entire trip, although we show up when front desk people mention manager would be there. On top of that, different front desk people gave different information about the manager.

I emailed the reservations email on the first day, and never received a response. Unsure where the lack of accountability is coming from.

On top of this, 1 am on our last night there, there was an emergency evacuation because someone was smoking in their room, and that made all guests leave their room.

I would not recommend our experience to anyone.

Only reason I am giving it a two star is because the rooms were decent and some
front desk people were nice. The front desk gave us 1 free breakfast for the inconvenience during our 3 night stay, although this is not what we wanted, but that is all the front desk was able to offer. If someone (the manager or reservations) would have been able to actually take accountability and at least have the courtesy to acknowledge the negative experience and see where we are coming from, that honestly could have made a difference. We had great stays in London and Paris, so was disappointed with our last leg.

As for the nighttime evacuation, while guest safety procedures must always be followed immediately in the event of a fire alarm, we understand that this only added further disruption to what had already been a tiring stay.

Nice and clean hotel

Nice and clean hotel, very close to the metro. Nice staff at the reception. Rooms are very good, TV has a lot of channels, and in a good resolution and not the blurry SD ;-). Unfortunately, no bar but still top recommendation.

Great stay at hotel

Great stay at hotel, rooms were clean and spacious. Staff very attentive and polite.
Only downfall was not much around the hotel but metro few mins walk.

Poor experience

I booked the room 2 months ahead directly on the hotel’s website and chose high level/floor in options. Friends booked it one month later and got higher floor than me. I would expect it to be the other way around - filling the floor from the top to the bottom with new bookings. There was dirty bag in the garbage bin in the room when we booked in, shower was leaking, waking us up from time to time and water leaked into the bathroom from shower under unsealed shower doors, causing whole bathroom to flood. Room was nicely decorated but looked “used and tired” as there was poorly patched hole on the wall, a cigarette burn on the curtain and some brown stains on it. Coffee machine water reservoir was leaking and ceiling over the bed has stain from leaking water too. Which showed to be unsolved issue as the fourth night of our stay we came back to wet bed. This was solved with hotel management after the stay as they could not solve it during the night , but despite that the experience from the hotel stay was pretty poor. As the only positives we see good hotel parking for fair price and metro station close to the hotel. Machine for drinks in entrance with 3,5€ for 0,5 litre water bottle is maybe normal in the country but to us it seemed ridiculous.

Great value for money for a family…

Great value for money for a family stay!
We stayed as a group of 4 at Hotel Levell and we really enjoyed our stay.
The room was spacious and roomy, perfect for four people: comfortable beds, plenty of wardrobe space, and enough room to move around without feeling cramped.
The cleanliness was quite good: the room was serviced daily and the bathrooms were tidy. There were a few corners that could have been cleaned more thoroughly, but nothing serious.
Check-in and check-out were self-service, but they were simple and quick to complete via the app or the tablet at reception. No issues at all — everything was very intuitive.
The biggest advantage for us was the strategic location: the metro station (Bullewijk) is just a 5-minute walk away, and you can reach the city centre in about 15-20 minutes. Given the price we paid, the distance from the centre is perfectly acceptable, especially if you’re using public transport. Ideal for those who want to save money without sacrificing convenience.
The staff were friendly and helpful when needed.
We recommend it for families or groups looking for a practical, clean and affordable accommodation in Amsterdam.

Clean, comfortable hotel with easy access to the city

Just 20–25 minutes from Amsterdam Central Station, this hotel is a very good option for a city stay. The rooms were clean and appeared recently refurbished. We booked a family room for four, and it was a good size with enough space to stay comfortably.
One feature we particularly liked was the underfloor heating in the toilet/bathroom, which was a lovely touch. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The self-service kiosks for check-in and check-out were also convenient and easy to use. There was a good-sized waiting area, and the breakfast was decent as well.
The only thing that would have made the stay even better would be having dinner served at the hotel. After a long day of walking and sightseeing, it would have been very useful to return and have an evening meal available on site.

The worst hotel

The worst hotel! doesn’t even deserve one star.

On the first night, the room was dirty, with hair on the pillows and unclean towels. Housekeeping only came at 5pm, which was inconvenient. The staff were rude, and the front desk provided incorrect information. They are Trump liars. We were promised a kettle, but when we asked the evening staff, they claimed they had never provided kettles to guests at all.

I will never step foot there again. Do not stay here!

Since I'm unable to reply to the responder that replied to my feedback (6 days ago)- here are my response:
you mentioned I quoted: "had you let us know at the time, our team would have sorted it immediately."

I did right away when we checked in. BUT your rude front desk said we have to wait for the housekeeping to finish other rooms. So we waited but have to leave after 1 hour. Shockingly when we came back the hair are still on the pillows! Eventually, the housekeeping came and clean it at 5pm! So responder: Don't go lying about your good service if you didnt investigate this matter or for the sake of showing how helpful you people are. All of you related to this dump hotel are bunch of liars.

On the 3rd day, the housekeeping manager told me that the front desk was lying about housekeeping timing. Let me explain: My room was not clean and it is already 4pm. When I called, Frontdesk told me, no more housekeeping as it is late now. Hence, I went down to look for the housekeeping team and met the manager, and he told me frontdesk are lying. He also quoted politely to me: I am the Manager, why you listen to them? "They lying to you. When I say, I clean your room, I will clean it, dont worry!"
So my family and I will have to wait again and step out of the room in cold at 4pm!

Next topic:
You responded: "Regarding the kettle, our rooms are equipped with a coffee and tea machine," - I'm not asking for kettle to make coffee or tea. If you dont have it, be consistent and said we dont provide kettle. You have two frontdesk team that says differently. Morning shift said we have loaned a kettle to another room and we will get it once its available. The afternoon shift said otherwise. Make up your lies properly.

Do not stay in this hotel! And dont trust anyone working in this hotel!

Good location and a good hotel

Good location, close to the Metro Station and very convinient to the A9 Highway.
Good hotel, nice rooms incl. toileteries and hairdryer, friendly and helpfull staff.
Good breakfast.
Self service on check-in and check-out is easy but a little awkward if you do this for the first time.

minor : expensive self service items from the vending machines (eg € 3.50 for 500 ml water or any other soda is quite expensive)
