Worst experience ever - completely unprofessional
I am extremely frustrated with Zepto’s pathetic service. I placed an order for eggs and vegetables because my kids had a school outing and it was urgently needed. The order was already on the way when, out of nowhere, Zepto cancelled it. No valid reason, no prior notice – just cancelled.
They claim a refund was initiated, but it has been almost 2 days and I still haven’t received my money. This is unacceptable. On top of that, I tried multiple times to contact customer support, but there was no response at all. Absolutely zero accountability.
I was a loyal customer and used Zepto almost every day, but after this horrible experience, I’m done. If this is how they treat regular customers, I cannot trust this platform anymore.

“Consumer Grievance: Misleading Delivery Timelines & Supply of Expired Products”
This review is submitted as a consumer grievance against Zepto for misrepresentation of service, deficiency in delivery, and unfair trade practice.
On the date of order, the Zepto app displayed a delivery timeline of 17 minutes. The order was shown as “prepared” but was not delivered for over 1.5 hours. This constitutes false and misleading representation, designed to induce payment.
Additionally, Zepto has supplied expired / near-expiry products, raising serious concerns regarding food safety and quality control, which is unacceptable under consumer protection norms.
Despite repeated follow-ups with customer care until 3:00 AM, resolution was delayed. A refund was initiated only after prolonged escalation and is stated to take 5–6 working days, whereas payment collection is instant. This reflects deficiency in service and lack of reasonable redressal mechanisms.
Such practices violate basic principles of consumer rights—right to information, right to safety, and right to timely redressal.
I urge prospective customers to exercise caution and request Zepto to conduct an internal audit of its delivery claims, inventory management, and customer grievance handling.

There were 12 items. When I received the order, there were only 1 item (195/- INR). So I asked the delivery person where is the rest items. He said those will be coming through another person and only Zepto caffe items he will deliver. So I believed that. After he left I checked the application and all items showing as delivered. So I called the delivery person again and asked him about it. Again he said the same thing. That was not logical, there we no tracking details.
I contacted the customer service and they’re not trying to solve the issue and not ready to reschedule the partial order delivery . Instead of tha they said, they will do the refund. I received a message from the Zepto by telling that I will receive the amount after deducting the delivery fee because the delivery item cost only 195. Which was not my mistake. And after 5-7 working days only I will receive the amount in my account. They said the amount will come to my Zepto valet within an hour. But it didn’t come after 1 hour. So I was not able to utilise it.
Here the time , money , energy, effort all of mine goes invalid. I lost all for this order. Very disappointed with the customer care service, the delivery. over all performance of Zepto is very poor.

I was ordering groceries online with Zepto and brought a universal travel adapter for use of dutch adapters in India. When the rider delivered it I examined the product and discovered it was not suitable for my needs so I wanted to give it back but he said I can't give it back to him but have to make a return ticket online.
When I contacted the service desk about this they told me they won't take it back because I could check the product when it was delivered and now its too late. all online webshops will give a return possibility within 14-30 days . Why not with Zepto?

I worked as a part-time employee at Zepto with rider code BLR132-R1554 from 10th August to 17th August. Initially, they asked for ₹1500 for items like a raincoat and T-shirt, or the option to pay ₹300 weekly. I chose the weekly payment option and paid ₹300 at the start.
In one week, I earned around ₹4100, but later they deducted ₹981 from my payment. When I called customer care support, there was no proper response.
They did not provide me with a T-shirt, raincoat, or bag, so I don’t understand why they deducted this money. I worked hard for that one week. I came to Bangalore without a job, and that’s why I joined Zepto part-time. But till now, customer care has not contacted me, even though I tried many times.
So, this is my experience. I wasted my time, and they also deducted my money. Please be careful before joining Zepto for part-time work.
