Shoes arrived ahead of schedule. Less expensive than anywhere else. Didn't fit, and return process was excellent. Customer service was superb. The agent said it's a great place to work, too. 6 stars!!

PROCEED WITH CAUTION OR BUY SOMEWHERE ELSE!

I guess I should have checked some reviews before I made a purchase. Thats not really like me. In my defense I FINALLY found a pair of boots for work. And they were the last pair I could find in my size.

Anyway....I will NOT be making that mistake again!! I am ticked off!

So I ordered a pair of boots for work. Took me months to find them. They were supposed to arrive yesterday. But nothing. I tracked the package and got 2 different results. (Figures) Anyway...one says that it is still in transit. The other says that it was delivered to the SELLERS locker. (Scratching my head.) Since when does Zappos have a locker? Turns out that they are part of Amazon etc etc. Like almost everything else. So they were delivered to an Amazon locker that I cannot get into. Now I have made PERMANENT ARRANGEMENTS with Amazon to never deliver my packages to the locker unless otherwise stated. EVERY order placed with Amazon has that specifically written in the shipping directions. They took it upon themselves to make some kind of deal with the rental office. Without my consent they re-routed my packages to the lockers. They have no idea what they are putting in there. They left an expensive package of paints in those lockers in sub -zero temperatures, ruined the paint and refused to refund or send me a new one.
Honestly Amazon has gotten way to big for their britches. They need to know that they are not all of that and a bag of chips! As a matter of fact in the recent year I haven't been able to do any business with them that hasn't resulted in a major headache. This would be a perfect example.

So after we figured out what happened to the package, Zappos customer service told me to handle it MYSELF! That I should call Amazon and figure it out! Can you believe it? And after that was said they refused to answer me any further. I think that is a BIG pile of .............(your choice)

I find it abominable that the world has gotten like this. Use ya and abuse ya. Every man for themselves. "We've got your money now we have no use for you" kind of attitude. At a time when this country/world is hurting the most from things the average guy has no control over. Now we have to worry about it from EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING that we deal with. Someone always looking to get something that they do not deserve for nothing. Or better yet....WHATEVER they can get you from you period. I work 6 days a week including holidays. I worked all day Labor Day to pay for boots to WEAR 6 days a week! And now I have to make calls and chase them down. Because the people that sold them to me cannot be bothered.

PROCEED WITH CAUTION!!! Is the best advice I can give.

Rep couldn’t find order

Was not impressed when I texted the main number about canceling my order and the rep repeatedly asked for my last name. He couldn’t find my order. Turns out it was under my maiden name. Couldn’t he have found it with my order number that I sent???? It really slowed down the process and he just sounded like I didn’t have an order. Very distressing.

They cancelled my Credit Card order…

They cancelled my Credit Card order twice and when I called, this is the explanation I received "I'm not sure why your order was cancelled, we're having a problem with orders with Customers logging in as "Guests" rather than existing customers. That absolutely makes no sense to me, that's not how a legitimate company does business.

Scam

Bought a bunch of items directly from the website and they provided me with tracking number, after several days appeared delivered and it was not (obviously 🙄) when I contacted customer service they said I need to contact the courier which doesn’t even exist. Scammers

Cancelled order/poor customer service

I've had a Zappos account for years. I recently ordered a pair of boots for my daughter's 22nd birthday. I received a confirmation and estimated delivery. The boots never arrived. Despite the fact that I used a perfectly good and up to date Visa card when ordering online and despite the fact that I received a confirmation, they cancelled the order. I learned by calling Zappos that they didn't send the boots because I hadn't ordered anything in two years from Zappos. I pointed out that this was a strange policy as I could have just ordered the boots without logging in to my Zappos account and they would have shipped them. The representative on the phone had no answer for this. I said, this is a crazy policy, I'd like to register a complaint, who do I speak to? She said, we don't have a complaint department, there isn't any way to register a complaint. Wow. I was pretty stunned. I had thought Zappos was a customer-friendly service. I will never order from them again.

Disappointing Experience with Zappos: Unresolved Billing Issue and Suspicious Account Termination

I recently had an extremely frustrating experience with Zappos that I feel compelled to share. I placed an order on Zappos using my credit card, which was processed without any issues. However, shortly afterward, my order was inexplicably canceled, with Zappos claiming a “billing problem.”

Understanding that I might have accidentally used a different billing address than usual due to the rush (I used the “same as shipping” option for a faster checkout), I immediately contacted Zappos customer support to clarify the situation. The representative assured me that the issue would be resolved and advised me to place a new order using the correct billing address. I followed their instructions, only to find that my new account was also banned.

Instead of providing me with a solution to the billing issue—such as verifying my identity or offering alternative payment methods like bank transfer, wire, or PayPal—Zappos simply responded with a generic message citing their company policy. This lack of customer support is not only disappointing but also highly suspect.

To add to my concerns, I successfully placed an order on the official Arc’teryx website using the same credit card without any issues, which further confirms that the problem lies with Zappos, not my payment method.

What makes this situation even more suspicious is that Zappos is currently running a big sale on Rakuten with a 12% cashback offer. My suspicion is that they saw I was using Rakuten to get cashback and decided to cancel my orders and terminate my account to avoid paying out the cashback rewards.

This is a serious issue, and I intend to report this to the Rakuten team as well. Instead of helping a loyal customer resolve a simple billing issue and complete their purchase, Zappos chose to hide behind their company policy and refused to provide any assistance.

I would advise others to be cautious when shopping with Zappos, especially if you’re planning to use cashback services like Rakuten. My experience suggests that Zappos may prioritize their own financial interests over customer satisfaction and fair treatment.

Final Thoughts: Zappos needs to reconsider their approach to customer service and address these kinds of issues more thoughtfully. Until then, I would recommend exploring other retailers who value their customers and are willing to resolve issues rather than simply terminating accounts.

as of 10/16 2024 I have not received any emails from support team trying to fix this issue.

Randomly cancelled my order and closed my account,
my order was for some things I needed for my vacation so now I'm put out. I've had a zappos account for over ten years, no problem. I also went through my amazon account to pay because they said it offered perks, my Amazon account is also very established.

Virtually worthless in terms of…

Virtually worthless in terms of customer service. I tried to setup a safety shoe program for the company I work for, which would be buying hundreds of pairs of shoes a year from them, and they wouldn't even allow us to contact customer service on the test pilot to simply ask a question. Going through their chat tree just to ask to get a point of contact resulted in only a refusal. Go elsewhere if you may need to talk to somebody, may need clarification, may a return at some point in the future, etc. As bad as Amazon, which makes sense since they are owned by them.

Unprofessional business

Created a Zappos account years ago and when reloggong in had to update my password. I made an order I was very excited about. A week went by without any shipping updates. I tried checking my order status but my account was blocked. Zappos never notified me of my account being blocked. I chatted with customer service on an awful outdated chat application and was finally told my order was canceled. What an awful, unprofessional company that I'll never do business with again.
