We are more than just a care provider — we are a family with a purpose. Our heartfelt mission is to build safe, loving homes where every child feels seen, heard, and truly cared for — a place where they can heal, grow, and thrive. We take a deeply therapeutic, child-centred approach, placing each young person’s needs, hopes, and dreams at the heart of everything we do. This isn’t just our job — it’s our calling. Every child who walks through our doors is met with unwavering compassion, patience, and belief in their potential. We support children and young people aged 8 to 18 with genuine love and commitment, walking beside them through every challenge, every breakthrough, and every moment of progress. We create a warm, nurturing environment where they feel safe, valued, and empowered — a true home, not just a placement. At Yaffle Care, we go beyond the basics of care. We focus on life-changing, practical support — teaching our young people how to cook, budget, care for themselves, build healthy relationships, stay safe online and in the community, and most importantly, how to understand and manage their emotions. These are not just skills — they are foundations for independence, confidence, and self-worth. Every child deserves a chance to flourish. And at Yaffle Care, we make that our mission — every single day.

Working at Yaffle Care is rewarding

Working at Yaffle Care is rewarding. The environment is both emotionally fulfilling and professionally enriching. Every day presents an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a young person’s life, and that sense of purpose creates a powerful bond among staff and the children.

Colleagues are supportive and team dynamic is strong. The same goes for the embedded values, namely supportive, compassionate, and committed to trauma-informed care. There is a shared understanding that consistency, patience, and empathy are essential in creating a safe, nurturing environment for the children.

The management team is approachable and genuinely invested in both staff well-being and the development of the young people in our care. Staff training and CPD are prioritised, which equipped staff in handling complex situations. There’s a strong emphasis on safeguarding, emotional intelligence and resilience, and therapeutic approaches, all of which are vital in this role.

Despite the challenges that naturally come with this kind of work, the positive culture, clear communication, and shared values make it a truly fulfilling environment to be. The children are at the heart of everything we do, and seeing their growth even in small steps is incredibly motivating.

Without a doubt I would highly recommend this workplace to anyone passionate about working with vulnerable young people and committed to making a real, lasting impact.

Great place to work with amazing support

I’ve recently started working at Yaffle Care as a Therapeutic Support Worker, and even in my first week, the experience has been overwhelmingly positive. The adults I work with are fantastic, and the level of support from the team is incredible — it’s clear they genuinely care about both staff and the people we support.

I haven’t come across any negatives so far, and the training and guidance for new starters have been excellent. I’d 100% recommend Yaffle Care to anyone, whether you’re new to the field or have years of experience.
