Had a wonderful holiday with Dal and Oscar in Greece! They are a dream team, both so friendly making us immediately feel comfortable for our week together. They both have fun stories to share, keeping us entertained and they coordinated all of the restaurant and activity reservations for us so we didn’t have to think or worry about a thing. Oscar’s cooking was divine and beautifully presented, and he has such a sunny personality, always a delight to be around. Dal is equally amazing, so calm yet very professional and you always felt safe, bending over backwards for us, nothing was too much trouble. He is an amazing skipper, always calm and collected even when it was very rough one day or trying to get into tight spots. When other captains raced to go from one port to the other because they thought it was too windy to stop, Dal still took the time and effort to find small bays to tuck into for sheltered swimming and cave visiting, really giving us lovely, varied days and we never missed a beat despite the winds. We would very happily go on another Yacht Getaways if we could have Dal or Oscar leading the tour! They made the trip!

It was a pleasure to have Matt as skipper and Ellen as hostess during this fabulous cruise in Croatia. Matt was a great teacher. His navigation tips will be very useful. And Ellen's healthy cooking, always beautifully presented, was delicious.
The catamaran was very comfortable and relatively spacious.
Two suggestions though:
- equip the bathrooms with air fresheners to remove unpleasant odors.
- install a whiteboard where the different activities, attractions and recommended restaurants of the next stop are proposed.
All in all, we will keep an excellent memory of this week.

Fantastic week on board Dorka V with Livi and Richard. Great mix of organised dinners, outings and swimming / snorkelling / paddle boarding opportunities.
Croatia provided an ideal location for seeing beautiful scenery, good local cuisine and consistently good weather.

My husband and I had the best week celebrating my and my friends birthday sailing in Croatia with Matt and Ellen. Ellen was a spectacular host anticipating all of your needs, treating you with pure kindness, and cooking delicious meals. Matt kept us safe sailing through the seas, showed us the beauty of Croatia, and was willing to teach us about sailing. They made our week, our holiday, our year. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience

Wow wow wow! We had THE best week sailing the Croatian islands! Our skipper Matt stopped at the most beautiful swimming spots, our host ELLEN made the most wonderful food and we made friends with the loveliest people during our week! Couldn’t recommend it more! Can’t wait to do it again!

We sailed in Croatia from Dubrovnik to Split July 2, 2022 on a 45 foot catamaran. We have traveled a lot and would rate this as one of our best trips. Ana and Livvy went above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were met, from Ana posting every morning the days plans to Livvy’s culinary skills. We are already looking to do another Yachtgetaway vacation.

We had an absolutely amazing holiday on the Croatia explorer route with Yacht Getaways. Our crew Richard and Livi were wonderful! The food was fantastic, they handled restaurant and taxi reservations and made recommendations for bars and other fun excursions. Livi even made a cake for my sisters birthday. I would definitely say this is the best way to see Croatia! Also highly recommend the Lagoon 45 Catamaran for this trip, it comfortably fit our party of 8 adults.

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in Croatia with Richard, Liv and Sophie as crew. We visited some incredible places, had the most amazing experiences and loved it. Sophie cooked a yummy banana cake and Richard showed me the ropes… facilities could be updated but otherwise a fabulous holiday - thank you

We had the best time - better than expectations! Our first time doing a boat trip and Yacht Getaways was a great experience for us. Everything went exactly as planned, our group of friends met our captain and first mate at their requested location and time and our group just immediately clicked with them. Even though one part of our group was a little late due to getting lost, they handled it very well and there wasn't any angst about it.

Each day we woke up and Oscar would handle our breakfast and make sure we were happily fed and ready for the day. Lunches were also taken care of by him and he did a great job feeding us, even the vegetarians. He was also just a lot of fun to be with and we enjoyed hearing his stories. Our captain, Tim, was always a pleasure to be with as well and was happy to answer all the questions we had and make recommendations for where we were headed each day. Excepting one dinner reservation, which was not his fault, everything suggested was excellent. His expertise as a captain made us feel safe, even though we never had much wind or weather until the last day when we did have a cold rain storm. While all of us hid in the galley area, we watched Tim have to battle the elements to get us to our dock. It wasn't the best ending, but one cannot predict the weather!

We loved Croatia and having the ability to go to small islands each day to swim, paddle board and hang out was so relaxing. Being away from the major tourist areas (since we were there in July) was also fabulous as when we did finally have to go into Dubrovnik at the end of our vacation, we were a bit overwhelmed with the amount of people there. It was so luxurious to have so many places on these islands which the captain said were now much more crowded than the week before, but still really lovely and not overly crowded to us. This vacation definitely spoiled us!

Each day we would say, "this was the best day", and then the next day we'd say it again. That is a great vacation. When we had to leave our catamaran, I was so sad. I just didn't want it to end as it just was such an amazing vacation. Thanks to Tim and Oscar for making it happen that way - we miss you, also!

Just returned home from a wonderful week with Ellen and Matt sailing on the Saga around Ionian islands. We were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them. The couple were both great fun and also very professional. We felt in very safe hands and the food provided by Ellen was wonderful. An experience I will recommend to my friends.

Just got back from a week on Saga in Corfu. Ellen our host was superb, great chef but more importantly great fun. Our Captain Matt was very professional, knowledgeable and again so keen to make the trip fun. We had a holiday of a lifetime, thank you Yacht Getaways, Matt and Ellen are 2 of your best assets!!

I was not involved in booking our trip but understand communication was sporadic and at times difficult. Instructions for boarding were confusing and we spent sometime in the wrong location. We were disappointed that there were no baggage trollies available and we had to carry our heavy bags a distance.
Once on board we had a fabulous holiday largely due to our skipper Brian, a patient, knowledge and understanding man who joined in with us whilst maintaining control. I really feel that the administration side of your business could be improved.

My wife and I had an amazing experience sailing around the Greek Cyclades in the first week of June 2022 with our Skipper, Davide, Host Katy and 2 other guest couples. I must be honest and say we did have a few booking problems with the company but once we were on the Yacht, it could not have been a better holiday for us both. Davide's experience and knowledge as Skipper was outstandingly reassuring and the quality and freshness of food Katy served was superb. Both Davide and Katy were very welcoming as Skipper and host and we both highly recommend this holiday. If you are thinking about it and checking reviews before you book, as we did, then go for it, you will not be disappointed.

We had an amazing time sailing Croatia with Yacht Getaways. Loved the boat, the sailing, and all of the picture-perfect towns we visited. We were lucky to have a really great group of other guests (sailors!) with us too! Planning Greece for our next trip this summer!

This was quite honestly one of the best holidays I’ve ever had in my life. We loved our crew – James and Holly, and every minute of the week. The food was superb, amazing islands, the scenery was so spectacular and the towns and parks visited made each day its own unforgettable experience. They went above and beyond in making sure we were always safe, comfortable, well-fed, and having an incredible time. Thank you so so much James, Holly and Yacht Getaways!

We had an awesome experience sailing between Split and Dubrovnik with Yacht Getaways. The food was great and the attention to detail with fantastic. It was the perfect blend of everything!

Terrible policies for covid disruptions. We originally booked a shared yacht for a honeymoon before covid started, and left a huge deposit. Now, with a baby, the only option they have recommended was a private yacht or lose the credit, as kids aren't allowed on the group bookings. Incredibly inflexible and poor communication on resolving the issue after countless attempts to come to a solution - buyer beware!

We had rescheduled our trip to Croatia 3x due to the pandemic. Finally when all was booked, we had flights and were ready to go - we received an email 3 days before departure saying our trip was cancelled due to "yacht supplier failure." Essentially they couldn't find a yacht for the trip. The email noted there weren't any available to the "specifications" we booked. There was no offer to upgrade us to another trip that was going - simply nothing available, but if we wanted we could go somewhere in Greece - which would mean we'd need to rebook flights, and resort or plans entirely within a timeframe that was unrealistic. On top of this - when they sent through the cancellation letter for us to show insurers, it had the wrong names written on it. We are extremely disappointed that this happened with so little notice as we were really excited.
