Great product and customer services

Great product and customer services. I was looking for a boiling hot water tap and came across Wodar. It was delivered within 2 days of ordering and my plumber as able to fit it with ease. After a couple of weeks of ordering, I contacted Wodar to order some more filters and spoke to a chap who was very knowlegable and helpful. Will definitely be recommending to friends.

Miserable experience, absent customer services

I have owned the product for approximately 1 year, and for the most part, it delivers on what is promised. It looks nice, and functions as intended, providing near-boiling water.

However, this is where the compliments end, as dealing with Wodar is akin to pulling teeth. In fact, I would much rather have my teeth pulled.

I have had the pleasure of dealing with them for nearly 2 months due to an issue we have been experiencing with our tap, which I believe to be due to a faulty plastic part, but Wodar's nameless technical team believe is down to me and my partner trying to use the tap as a pull down tap, and state the damage is due to excessive force.

They have made this conclusion based on the 2 preliminary images I provided. The tap we have is not a pull down tap, and we've never tried to use it like a pull down tap. I knew that when I bought it. Wodar even told us to return the tap for their investigation, but did not offer any solution as to what we would need to do in the meantime, so expected us to just not have a functioning tap or kettle whilst we send out our tap for them to look at. When I asked what they suggest we do in the meantime, they ignored the response entirely.

Originally contacted on the 31st of May, it has taken them 43 days, numerous chases & phonecalls to a completely absent customer services department that I question the existence of (most of the time they don't answer calls, and when they do, they cannot help), and threats of legal action for them to finally provide a resolution to the problem. The resolution doesn't completely eliminate the issue, but I ran out of energy to deal with them.

Despite providing their 'resolution' to the issue, Wodar are absolutely keen to continue the rhetoric that you are responsible for the issue.

At no point during any interaction has a single member of staff identified themselves. Every email is signed off without a name, or signature. Every time you respond to them, you will absolutely need to chase in a few days, they will not respond otherwise.

Worth mentioning that we are well within warranty!

A genuinely awful experience, for the sake of a part which is likely to cost them pence to manufacture. I just wanted a small plastic replacement part.

100% would NOT recommend. Avoid, and buy your boiling tap elsewhere.

Brand new £449 tap that doesn't work…

Brand new £449 tap that doesn't work keep saying will pass to technical department but getting no further with a resolution. Lived on a building site for 4 weeks now kitchen complete and i have no tap/ water. paid a plumber to install a faulty tap. warranty worth nothing. wouldn’t recommend.

Avoid avoid avoid!!!

Avoid avoid avoid!!!! If I could I'd give no stars! Bought a tap in May. Litteraly days after I asked for return label over the phone and EMAIL. There was small bump on the tap plus it didn't match the rest of the accessories. I had to waste a lot of time ringing them and resending emails and all I got was silence. There was always very pleasant voice on the phone that promised my case will be prioritised. After 2months of battling and quoting their own refund policy(!) into emails I finally got return label. But that's after they tried to persuade me to keep the tap. That's one of the emails I received "are you happy to keep the tap if we offer a favourable discount?" DISGUSTING!
Now I tracked the parcel and looks like was returned 10days ago but again.... Silence and when I rang this lovely pleasant lady said she is unable to check if warehouse has received it!!! I just checked address and from street view I can't see any wodar logo anywhere on that beautiful Leeds' street. Same with trade mark number on their website.... Doesn't exist anywhere!
Scammers!!!

Either way I will get my money back because I have already enquired from my bank and they are happy to help us.

All of our taps are 100% quality control tested and are not sent out with any sort of damage. Our UK trade mark is found on the Government Intellectual Property Page UK00003747405 as specified on the front page of our website, hence we are not scammers.

3 weeks and still no order! AVOID

Ordered a tap 3 weeks ago and still haven’t received it! Called multiple times and keep getting told someone will call back yet still nothing! Fed up of waiting now, it’s a £500 tap so not like is cheap. Terrible experience with this company so far! I’d avoid.

Poor experience of product and service

Purchase a boiling water tap/boiling unit. After a couple of weeks I noticed water building up under the unit. Sent an email to the firm telling them, went through their trouble shooting which didn’t work. They said they would sort a replacement. Only then a week later ask me to send back my unit first, which is my only source of boiling water in the house. Apart from customer service taking over a week to reply, the way they expect you to be without their expensive product before they replace is shocking. Now I’m looking at a more reputable company for a new boiling unit.

Scammers

Enquired about purchasing a tap, Asked if they would give any NHS discount was emailed back from manager saying they would offer a free filter to thank nhs staff, So i placed and order and when the tap came the Filter promised was missing, enquired and ignored for weeks and then a reply saying they were out of stock but one would be sent, This has not happened been waiting 4/5 weeks and they have stopped replying to any emails, Im dreading if theres a warranty issue, How can they scam us this way and get away with it? If I purchased a filter on their website now its in stock so they do have filters, They basically lied to get our money!

Jonny, This reply is 4 months late and you have my details Wodar promised to send me one but still waiting? Please send one and i will update this review if it turns up?

And you have replied saying you will post one out but lied again its now 19/11/23 and you still have not sent the filter but comment on here you will send one! I dont think possible new customers will trust you after reading this, I certainly dont.

If you do send it i will be happy to update this review until then its over 7 months and constant lies.

Hot tap supplier severely lacking good customer service

Ordered a hot tap as the reviews on the website seemed really good and they offered installation too at a reasonable price compared to their competitors.
Sadly I firstly had problems with organising an installation which ended up taking over a month despite their 10 day promise and their customer service is severely lacking - very polite when you talk to them and always answer the phone but have no concept on how to keep a customer happy by keeping them informed when problems arise. I had to call to chase them constantly despite them promising to call back and me leaving them a day or 2 inbetween to get to me first, which was time-consuming and frustrating.
Then when they went to install, the tap was scratched on an area that was very visible. I've been chasing since to get a new part which I should be able to change myself but again, 2 weeks later, I'm having to chase again as I've had no update from them since the day I complained.
I'm also not convinced about the quality of the tap, especially around the control area, so not sure how long it will last before issues start arising.
You get what you pay for but for the agro I've experienced, I wish I'd paid more and gone for Quooker.
Strangely, they have yet to send me link to review direct to their website....
