Tablecloths shrink

If I could give them 0 stars I would.
I bought a 68x108 tablecloth and after the first use, washed it according to the instructions. When I went to put it back on the table, it has shrunk to 66x101. I called the number on the website, and was told I had to contact the store. The store will not refund or even offer to exchange this product. I would not have bought this product if I knew it would shrink. I called the customer service number the store gave me and they said they would give me a 15% discount if I bought another one. Why would I buy another tablecloth that will shrink and not fit after one washing? I have talked to four different people and been given the run around.

They trap you with their unfair refund policies

I purchased 3 Williams Sonoma gift cards using Amex Rewards Points. I purchased an item online and went to pick it up at one of their stores. At the store I had a terrible experience so I decided to reject the item I had purchased. I was told by the clerk that the funds would go back to the original gift cards. I contacted Amex to convert the gift cards back to Amex Rewards Points but was told that the gift cards have been used and now have a zero balance. Contacted Williams Sonoma and was told that they issued a new Gift Card for the balance. I am now stock with almost an $1,100 gift card from Williams Sonoma that I don't want to use because of the buying experience and cannot get a proper refund.

Beautiful inventory, spammed DAILY by many Williams-Sonoma brands!

Ever since someone in my family bought a Williams-Sonoma product again, we get avalanches of spam from every brand affiliated with Williams-Sonoma DAILY, ALL DAY! Today I am hitting unsubscribe on Pottery Barn Teen after two e-mails in a row from them. This after unsubscribing from Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn Kids and brands I have never heard from before they own.

Whenever we make a purchase in store, without our consent for this disgusting amount of garbage in our inbox, we re-open up the spam. I wish we wouldn't shop here with how aggressive-creepy-annoying their spamming is. Some people in my family love Williams-Sonoma and Pottery Barn for the gentle soap and simple things. If it were me, I would have chucked the entire brand family for any future purchases. Because I cannot use any e-mail address with them.

Other people say the same things we do but never complain online as I am.

In person, the salespeople verbally shout at you to force you to give them an e-mail. If you say no, they ask you until 5-10 times later, you say, I CANNOT. This is to aggressively spam you. Oh, no, it isn't once a day and unsubscribe. You will hear from every Williams-Sonoma fake sale with items you do not want all day long, EVERY SINGLE DAY. Unsubscribing from one only removes you from that mailing list within that store only. You will be hitting unsubscribe until you practically need to see a therapist over it.

A family member of mine likes e-mail receipts and always requests them at the store. This results in the spiral of e-mail destruction spam from Williams-Sonoma brands again.

You only win 1 additional star from me because of your product quality and inventory selection.

Williams-Sonoma, please do something about these recurring mailing lists and how you cannot escape being readded to them when you shop there again. You make customers want to avoid your brand.

Unfortunately for me I decided to…

Unfortunately for me I decided to purchase an item for Mother's Day 2024 and when I made my order it said the estimated arrival date was May12th, and I was really hoping the item I purchased was going to make in time for Mother's Day and it did not.

Then the delivery date was changed to May 13th and the item I purchased online in thier website still had not come in until the next day May 14th.

I was out of town and could not pick the item up until the Saturday May 17th and when I did the sales person brought the item and we opened the box to check the item I purchased it was damaged with missing paint. The box had what looks like a knife gouge along the side of the box and the lid had no protection on it where the damaged was found.

Then the store proceeded to do a replacement order for me with another estimated date of arrival of June 18 a whole month away.

I asked had the store for just an exchange so I wouldn't have to wait a whole month and they brought me another one they had in the back a different color which was fine, but then I had to wait until the order was canceled and rebuy it again online because that was how I bought it the first time.

That was to much of hassle for me at this point I definitely will not be purchasing anything from this store ever again.

*Key note here: It was not the employees fault and I am sure they were just following store policy. It is the store itself William Somoma for the negative review.

LATE WITH SHIPPING

First time shopping here and very disappointed. Asked salesperson for recommendation of a knife. I researched it and decided to purchase. They had 2 in stock but couldn't locate. It was then ordered for me and was due to be here between 5/14 and 5/15. Label was printed on 5/10 but package not sent until 5/13. It WILL NOT arrive on time. Have now read other reviews and it seems shipping IS the problem. Will NOT be shopping here again!

They are not worth the money Honestly

They are not worth the money Honestly, I don't get the hype about this. A bunch of old people would shop here. All the old customers will die in a year or two so, you might as well change it up a bit. Respectfully

Horrible shipping experience!

We bought expensive flatware from the company. Besides it being two months late, it was delivered piecemeal, with most of the pieces rattling around loose in the oversized shipping box. There was no protective packaging in the box. It was absolutely the worst delivery I’ve ever received. Horrible! I will never buy from this company again.

The worst customer service

The worst customer service. They charged more than what their website stated was the flat rate for shipping based on the merchandise total (was supposed to be $29.95 but they charged $44.90). Reached out to get an explanation on this and everyone who replies gives a different story as to why they charged more. None of which makes sense. Then they just started copying and pasting a template response. A very frustrating shopping experience. Would never recommend shopping here.

Rude saleswoman

I just bought a kettle from William Sonoma @ Town & country. The sales person (Down) was so rude that I have never seen. She did not even put the kettle in a bag. I usually get point and she did not even do that. Over the years, I have bought a lot of items from the store but this time, was a disaster. I will never shop there again and hope the store closes. The only reason, I went to store is that I was told shopping store, will help them to stay open.

I am a trade customer and ordered 4…

I am a trade customer and ordered 4 counter stools for a client. Before ordering I asked for a finish sample and was told there were none available. These were made to order, which we accepted, but we trusted what we saw on their website and ordered. We received on 3/5/24 and the finish was not as pictured, much darker and the client is not happy. We've spoken to 4 reps, submitted photos, and each time given a different answer. One, named Devan, told me that they can't help us because of previous returns, We've never returned anything to WS or Pottery Barn. We're disappointed as the non professionalism which seems to be standard now.

Terrible customer service

I ordered a product and the shipping date kept getting pushed. I never received an email update, I only found out by checking the order status. Then it got pushed 8 months so I asked to cancel and get a refund. They said it was ordered through a third party so they can't authorize the refund. I got an email finally saying they approved my refund after 3 weeks and then 2 hours later they took it back so I'm at square one again.

Will take your money even if you didn't receive your order

When I ordered the DIY Sourdough Kit, the item showed in stock. Then I received an email that it would be delayed due to being back ordered. I travel a lot for work ... in fact, so much I'm rarely home. So, I use a UPS Store mailbox for deliveries. Allegedly, the item was delivered five weeks after I ordered the kit, BUT the store has no record of receiving it. Yes, I called outside the return window, but again, I have been traveling since December 13 and could not confirm that the item was delivered since my mailbox service couldn't locate and verify delivery. So, I called customer service, and they refused a refund. Nice ... thanks for keeping my money and the item I ordered, WS. I WILL NOT spend money with you ever again.

Lousy customer service and nasty on the phone.

Do not order through them. Ordered a Vortex Pro Air Fryer. It was sent to Mississippi but I live in Texas. After a month, I supposedly got a replacement except when I looked at the box, it was an Instant Pot and NOT an Air Fryer. Done with Williams Sonoma.

Archaic Shipping Rate Policy + Expensive Shipping for Small Items

William Sonoma is the only brand that sells a specific metal spatula that was requested as a gift and for a $33 spatula that weighs almost nothing and only around a foot long, it costs $9 to ship. I check the company's shipping rates and it's all based on price range which is ridiculous. So if I spend $15 on a face cloth versus a $25 face cloth of the same size, the shipping is still more?! What if I buy a giant vase for $15? That costs less to ship than a set of forks?! Logically makes no sense. Someone needs to steer this company in the right direction before they start losing customers. It's 2024, not 2004!

Do people realize how hard the average person has to work for $9 just for it to be thrown away to shipping? Imagine buying 2 identical items, then the shipping would be double too. You're basically being punished by shopping more here.

Absolute incompetence

Ordered a SMEG toaster with delivery promised within a certain time frame. Which means they hand it in stock. After ordering and paying they then send an email saying it's not in stock and delivery will be much longer. So they hook you in, take your money and make you wait. That is fraud at it's best. I cancelled the order. They said you can't at this point. Wait until you get the order and then send it back to issue a refund. So idid that. Purolator came to pick up the item, returned it to them and now they say they haven't recieved it on first email. Then they say they did but it will take 3 weeks to process. What?? I charged them back and had my bank deal with them. DO NOT order from this company ever. Unless you want the headache. Bunch of amateur crooks.

Didn't inform me of cancelled order

I ordered placed an order as a gift. When it became apparent the gift never arrived, I checked the shipping tracking to find out it had been cancelled with no reason listed. Yet my credit card had been charged. After calling two rude customer service agents, they told me that the credit card billing address didn't match the recipient's address!!!! What?! Are you kidding? Of course it didn't match, thus the box I checked indicating it was a gift. They never sent me a text or email telling me the order had been cancelled.

Ordered flatware 2 weeks ago

Ordered flatware 2 weeks ago. Purolator is the delivery agent. It was supposed to have started arriving within 10 days. Seems the items haven’t left Ontario as yet. It seems WS has shipping issues and then they use Purolator who seem to be a worst courier(?)

I wish that I had read these reviews…

I wish that I had read these reviews earlier. This company has absolutely no room for responding to customer concerns. I ordered three sets of four Christmas dinner plates and three sets of four Christmas salad plates. The plates took a very long time to be delivered and certainly did not meet the expected delivery date as noted at the time that the order was placed. I did not complain. Before the plates arrived Williams Sonoma offered another 20 percent offer on these discounted plates. I contacted the customer service department and they emphatically stated that there was no room for negotiation-I did not qualify for further discounts. I asked where this policy was written and received no response. The fact that this company was not willing to offer some form of compensation was beyond disappointing. Bottom line, plates were not delivered in the promised time. A further discount was offered during this wait period. How can I not be eligible for some form of compensation? They really do no care. The arrogance is beyond frustrating.

Christmas gift not delivered

I ordered an Italian pasta crate as a Christmas gift on 12/18. Their site said delivery 12/29 which would be late for Christmas but I apologized to my daughter in law and explained it. On the 29th, there still was no update on shipping, so I called customer service. I was told it was a problem with the vendor and at that point they couldn't even cancel my order. I was told they had been having problems with their tracking. Then probably trying to make me feel better they told me they had other problems with vendors and customers that ordered Christmas dinners for 12 didn't get their meals because of a shortage of mashed potatoes, so their Christmas dinners were ruined. I was told that they would give my name and number to the vendor and they would contact me. I was later told that this would never actually happen. I told them that the vendor wasn't the one that had my money for several weeks, Williams-Sonoma did, with no product to show for it and also if they had just let me know that the crate wouldn't be available, I would have had time to get her something else. I asked to speak to a manager. After a long wait, the manager came on what sounded like a cell phone because it kept breaking up. Probably to get me off the line, she told me that she was able to see tracking and that it actually would be delivered that day. It did not arrive. A couple days later the website said it would arrive 1/4/24. It did not. I called again, spoke to a very pleasant representative. They did end up refunding my money. But that did not help the fact that my daughter-in-law didn't get a Christmas gift. There was no other compensation offered. All they had to do was be truthful that the item wasn't available by the date. Poor communication and several lies. Will not be ordering anything from them again.
