Wickes - Grimsby Reviews 

This will be the third time we have used Wicks in different properties. The designs are good, service perfect, and price reasonable.
Thanks to Joanne Lofts for helping us get the kitchen we wanted.

We have just bought a new kitchen today from the grimsby branch of wickes.chris the kitchen designer was absolutely brilliant, no pressure and very good advise and guidance was given in a very relaxed atmosphere.i can honestly say we have never enjoyed buying g a kitchen as much as this experience.the working g relationship between chris and store manager Emily was great to see.emily talked us through the process on our 1st visit with a smile and never put us under pressure to make a decision.very well done team and we would glady recommend them to anyone.

Went into Grimsby Wickes looking for a few screws and asked the ladies on the tills for help, Yvonne and Layla were extremely knowledgeable and helpful, in and out in 5 minutes, well done Ladies 🙏

I ordered internal-use timber from Wickes and what I received was absolutely shocking. The entire delivery arrived soaked, water-damaged, and already showing early signs of black mould risk, making it completely unfit for any internal work. I sent Wickes a full video of the condition as proof.

This isn’t just poor service — it’s a breach of multiple UK consumer laws, including:
• Consumer Rights Act 2015 (Sections 9, 10 & 11)
The goods are not of satisfactory quality, not fit for purpose, and not as described.
• Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013
Items supplied by delivery must match the description and be usable upon arrival. These clearly weren’t.
• Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008
Supplying internal materials in a wet and unsafe condition may be considered an unfair or misleading commercial practice.

I made it clear I do NOT want a replacement. I am requesting a full refund and compensation for:
• The condition of the goods
• The mould risk
• My loss of wages due to being unable to carry out planned work

I have provided all requested evidence, yet customer service has been slow and unhelpful. I’ve been told to wait 72 hours, which is completely unacceptable given the severity of the issue and the clear breaches of consumer law.

I expect this to be resolved within 24 hours, with a full refund and appropriate compensation.
This experience has been extremely disappointing, and I hope Wickes finally takes this seriously.

Asked for a quote to renovate bathroom and promised to receive by the following Wednesday. Designer can't have been in house for more than 20 minutes and did not really seem interested in what we wanted. Quote never arrived and after speaking to him today he came across as could not care whether I used their services or not and could not wait to get me off the phone. Usual type of excuse "I was going to ring you today" This gentleman in my opinion does nothing to enhance Wickes as a company.

Christopher Moses was amazing. Really helpfull, understood our budget and what we wanted straight away. Never felt preasure to buy anything, we took the radiator off due to price. Honestly he was so amazing g that in our bathroom appointment we bought our kitchen too. Absolutely top man,and we couldn't of asked for a easier process

Yesterday I went to wickes to order some flooring things the customer service was amazing and very helpful very polite,I was very happy ,my day was good,😊 There was a guy the name of Bill he was very good customer service he was very polite to us. Thank you bill and wickes for your nice customer service👍👍👍

Today I was served by Billy in the Grimsby store.
He assisted me set up my Trade Pro account and he processed my order for home delivery.

Stepped into Wickes not knowing where anything was. I asked an assistant for help. His name was Jordan, so helpful. He helped as much as he could he even have me the trolly he was using to stock shelves as mine wasn't adequate.

I went pay for the items I chose and Jordan was there to help again!! He explained that an item that I wanted, that wasn't in stock could be paid for on the till and collected or delivered to my home. I opted for the latter.

Full marks to Jordan, he did a fantastic job and gave a service that was second to none. Wickes definitely has an exemplary employee in Jordan.

Fantastic staff as new to the area it was our first visit to return an online order of some extra emulsion we ordered. Was greeted with a friendly hello & a warm smile from Emily she came out to the car & helped to take it in as I've got a broken hand. Thank you so much you certainly made my day a lot easier

I keep coming back for bits because of the great service and that everyone at Grimsby store is very friendly.

I`m regular customer at Wickes Grimsby. Staff in Grimsby shop is friendly, experienced with a great knowledge about products. Always ready to help and to give good advice. Special thanks to Layla and Jammie @ Wickes Grimsby.

Delivery is a joke!! Paid for all items 6 weeks ago because was told there was an offer on and it was ending. Was told just let them know when I wanted delivery, which I did and was given a date. 2 days before delivery 2 radiators turned up, apparently come from a different location, I had to leave work to meet the driver. Then on the day all the other parts were due, only half turned up. This time they said the Kitchen parts of the order was never actioned for delivery, the bathroom parts were but again some parts are coming from other location. Now the Kitchen parts cannot be delivered until the 3rd, too late for me as I am away on holiday and my Plumber is due to start that day. Still no idea when the other bathroom parts are coming. Contacted store and they say they cannot help as not allowed to get involved and I need to speak to transport team. They can't help and just say that's the earliest they can do it. Apparently some of the missing bathroom parts are coming Friday, but not all, so more time I have to have off.
Basically make you feel that they have my money and now don't give a damn.
Sorry for ramble but I basically feel like they don't care........be vary wary !!!
Still waiting on parts....and still they don't care!!

Extremely helpful, ready to explain all details. Feel very lucky to have had this young man to help me with my choice and order. Will look for him if I need anything else from Wickes.

I Went in to the Wickes Store today In Grimsby and had guy greet me as took sometime out to ask how I was etc.. and helped me get signed up for a Wickes Pro trade card which helped me save a few pounds today and for my future purchases with Wickes :) but also contributed to a very pleasant experience for me at the store today

He's was already busy at the time as well and stopped what he was doing to assist me every step of the way going that extra mile made my experience and day that much more pleasant:)

Hope he gets his recognition for the work ethic and his good nature to the Store and ultimately the Wickes brand.

And if you see this Jordan keep doing what you are doing and good things come to good people.

We went in to check the prices of kitchens and to our delight the colour and kitchen we wanted was on a discount until 3pm. My husband rang me at 2.30 to see if I would be in the following day for a delivery before he ordered. Jamie on the till was lovely and helped my husband order everything we needed! however the following day I waited in and the only thing that arrived was the work top. And we have had an email today saying the kitchen wouldn’t be delivered until sept 6th. Unfortunately this wasn’t expected as he was told if he was to order it would be next day delivery but in two different stages as one was from the local shop and the other the warehouse. Unfortunately this has put a dampener on the whole experience and although Jamie was lovely and helped my husband 100% it wasn’t the outcome we had wanted. Now we have to sit and wait for the actual kitchen to come before anything can be done

Joanne was lovely, even though I changed my mind a few times on the design, she was very understanding.
How she fitted it all in to my small kitchen is nothing less than a miracle!

Excellent customer service by the kitchen design team - from Jo who designed our kitchen and understood what we wanted - she was very patient and helpful. Emily and Jamie sorted out an issue with ovens promptly and to our satisfaction which we really appreciated. A lovely store to shop in with helpful friendly staff.
