Behind the security near the gate our passports were stolen. We could not fly. After going to the police we booked a new flight with the certificate of the police. We were 38 years client with VVAA travel insurance and never made a claim before. Now we claimed the costs for the new flight, the passports and passport pictures. They only wanted to pay for the new passports, not the flight. Later on they also paid for the pictures but not at first. So we had to pay for the flight ourselves. I have an insurance for in case of excessive costs. Not for only the cost of passports- I can pay that myself. Very disappointing. I cancelled all my insurances with the VVAA.

The health insurance is terrible. I brought a medical bill to them while I was traveling. They rejected saying it doesn’t have my name specially written on it. The same situation happened and this time I made sure my name is clearly written and they rejected again saying that bill was not in Dutch or English so they cannot handle. I had acute infection in my gum and had to go to the hospital in a connecting flight stop when I brought the bill to them they said this is dental so couldn’t cover.

This is a terrible company that they try everything to not give you any reimbursement.
