Customer service deliberately ignoring their customers

Due to moving to a new city, I had to set up a new internet contract at the new address. Instead of canceling the previous contract and replacing it with the new one after requesting multiple times:

- Vodafone has ignored me after dozens of contact attempts, successful contacts via phone and live chat.
- Vodafone has continue to steal money from me, around €35 per month for the last 6 months. As of now, they have shown no signs of intending to pay me back.
- Whenever I go to a store in person, they redirect me to their customer service phone line and live chat, the very people who ignore my problem and refuse to explain why my contract has not been canceled yet.
- Sometimes, th live chat automatically reloads if your phone goes on stand-by, returning you to the app homescreen. This means you might have to keep your phone on for half an hour or longer without turning the phone off or moving to another application, depending how long it takes for the representatives to respond.

I have a paper trail in my live chat history of my request to cancel the contract since around the middle of November. If anyone has had a similar experience and managed to successfully sue Vodafone, or gotten in contact and were successfully able to cancel their contract, please let me know!

Unfortunately, I don't think we will change providers anytime soon since they offer good rates for internet + phone bundles, but they absolutely have the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Vodafone sting it client like Lyca used to

It's a shame that it seem that Vodafone Spain became the new version of the old LycaMobile schemes. Maximum money loading with minimum service.
I have a Pay As You Go sim from Vodafone Spain for couple of years, topping up each 6 months, just to keep it alive. Recently i moved to spain for longer period and could not continue using the UK Lebara roaming so I popped to a local shop in Spain and learned that I can get GBytes deals at least as good as in the UK on my PAYG sim. But they had no brochure describing the offers and its prices. I was advices to call their Customer Services (22134) where they can even explaine all in English. Nada. No English speaking there. I returned to the shop. I explained my wish. They called their centre and were adviced that I just need to charge my phone with the according programme's amount which would live for 28 days. They helped me charge the phone with 10€. Everybody was happy as I even got additional 4 Euros to spend in the next 7 days. In hindsight this should have ring bells for me but i did not register this. I started using the phone data happily but had the leave Spain for a week. When I returned I continued using it, but on the second day i got an sms from Vodafone (" VF Info: Has consumido 400 MB de la Tarifa Internet Diaria. Recuerda que si tienes saldo sigues navegando por 3E/200MB. +info ..."). Only then i realised that i was stinged. I went into my online account to find out that my balance is 1.18 euro and no tariff is active ("tu tarifa no esta activa"). i press "mi taarifa" where i saw the desired program which wrote i needed to charge 10€ to be activated (it even say "25GB extra until 31/5/2023"). I press the recharge on this program and loaded 10€. Got an sms (" VFInfo:Has realizado una recarga de 10.00 E el 09/05/2023 a las 19:17,si tiene ventajas asociadas te confirmamos por SMS.Tu saldo es 11.18 E"). But on my online account it said " Saldo 8.19 euro" and "tu tarifa no esta activa" in a typical "LycaMobile" manner… i went again to "mi taarifa" and assumed i can not activate it because the balance was less than the 10€ required for the program (assuming i was, somehow, in a debit of 1.81 euro). I tried to use the online help (TOBi) with 0 success!! I loaded another 5€ by pressing the recharge link on the desired program. I received an sms ("VFInfo:Has realizado una recarga de 5.00 E el 09/05/2023 a las 19:21,si tiene ventajas asociadas te confirmamos por SMS.Tu saldo es 13.18 E"). Luckily the balance on my online acciunt was also 13€ BUT still "tu tarifa no esta activa". i went to "mi taarifa" but it only offered mel to continue loading money…. Luckily i passeI a shop of Simyo and got a new simple data sim, allowing me to write this complaint.

Worst customer experience and zero flexibility for high end price tag

I have been a customer in Barcelona for 3 years.
Pro's:
- Service of both home internet (fiber) and mobile is quite stable if you only want the default service set

Con's:
- Worst customer service ever with highly unprofessional staff
- Telephone bot on support line is horrible
- Not loyal to clients in case of issues or unexpected charges
- They don't respect national telecom law that allows customers to connect their own end point equipment to fiber line. Vodafone only allows their "locked" equipment to be used. This equipment is very poor on settings.

Vodafone is focused on attracting new customers and may offer you some special rate if you go. For the rest of their clients they give a ****. Not a single sign of respect for those who pay up to ~100 Eur a month.

The staff ranging between the local…

The staff ranging between the local shops and the online help are nothing short of RUDE! I am an existing customer, looking to purchase something else, and they have made me decide to cancel my services with them altogether. I either get hung up on, if I ask if there is anyone that can help me in English (I don't speak Spanish YET - just English, German and some French). They either hang up rudely with a complete arrogance of 'how dare I ask them' to try to converse in the international language that is English, or they direct me to a number that no-one ever picks up. It's about time this company gave their staff a bloody good kick up the butt - okay, they don't speak another language, but there's no need to be so damn rude about it! They are supposed to be an international company, so it's about time they started behaving like it.

Vodafone steals money

I have decided to change operator from Vodafone to another company about three weeks ago. During this period I have discovered that Vodafone treats their customers like nothing. I have to make multiple calls to tell what I want to do. I saw that Vodafone refused to transfer my number to another company, which is completely illegal.
After waiting 3 weeks I decided to put 25 euro into my vodafone account because I can't leave without communication at all and next day vodafone at the end transferred the number.
Question is simple. Where is the money that I paid one day ago?
And here is the answer from the company "we will not be able to return credit on a canceled line."
So they just appropriated my money...
I can't post link in this review but if you search google "vodafone took money from my account es" you will see many cases.

Liars and exploiters

I bought a phone that needs an eSim and Vodafone España is doing whatever they can to make it hard for pre paid customers to change for an eSim. Basically I went to EVERY official Vodafone distributor in Barcelona and ALL of them told me that they could only give me an eSim if I'm a contractor. This is BS and trying to take advantage to upsell.
All of them (sales people at the official stores) said that I had to go and order my eSim in the store in Madrid. I went there and they said I had to pre order the eSim through the website which is a lie because you can't do it.

No complaints about the internet…

No complaints about the internet service, but I am at my wits end trying to return my broadband equipment. I took the stuff to my local store. Didn't want to know! Gave me a five digit number to call for return instructions that didn't work. Followed online instructions and attempted to fill in the form required for them to pick up from my address. When attempting to fill in the "province " section of my address, the red circle with the diagonal bar appears so it can't be selected. This results in the whole address being rejected! I have since sent ALL my details in a reply direct to Vodafone but I am still not sure if my stuff will be collected. Useless company!!!

VERY rude (English speaking) customer…

VERY rude (English speaking) customer service - cutting you off in a patronizing, condescending tone and louder-than-necessary voice, using literally the "do-not-interrupt-me" phrase when you try to ask for clarification while they're doing a fast-track run-down of how inefficient and how much of a rip-off some of their services are! Talking down to clients, having no patience, and ending your answer with a sarcastic "hallelujah" and a scornful laugh equals a -100 in customer service!
The name of the so-called "customer service agent" that attended me via the English line at around 16:30 on April 10 was Re(a)gan (or something similar).
The link to the review form that I received through an SMS following the call only leads to the chat bot TOBI, so that doesn't work either.
I worked in customer service for 5+ years and this is my first ever complaint, so the fact that I went so far as to actually call the "complaints" number I found on the website to get info on how to file a complaint speaks volumes of how bad the service I got was. Extremely disappointing service overall with multiple penalty charges as a result of me not receiving notifications due to (technical) issues on your end. Awful client treatment by live agents was the straw that broke the camel’s back. I'll definitely be canceling my subscription and will advise anyone who asks against using your services.

Horrible service

Horrible service. I am waiting for simple activation of Apple Watch OneNumber for more than 1 month.
They only act when you submit a ticket, help desk staff have contradictory opinions and suggest I go to the shop. Shop sends me back to the customer service. At one point I managed to connect the shop and help desk, and they had an argument… well, I think the only way is to write to Apple directly and complain now.

Phone calls didn't work at all

Phone calls didn't work at all! Network coverage is bad. SmartNet is permanently enabled, and impossible to disable it even when you not pay for this bloatware. Support is usless, they think that if they can't reach you by phone ( open case that phone calls didn't work) than problem is sloved.

Cheap tricks

I got offer from their agent with discount of 15 euros (70 euros original offer, 55 with discount). Discount never applied but they managed to increase price with some antivirus software for 6 euros. Before I canceled contract price was 76 euros per month and inicial offer was 55 euros. They are aggressive liars and scammers which hunt you over phone until you give up.

Vodafone is a FRAUD COMPANY

VODAFONE ES FRAUD COMPANY thieves. Hiding behind the franchise wall. Eliminate them from SPAIN. First, they send you an invoice that doesn't exist in my profile. Then they ask you to pay, but how I can pay if I can not contact them if my profile shows a different amount to pay? I invite people to protest in front of FRANCHIZE shops which they say has nothing to do with Vodafone invoices

Ridiculous

Ridiculous, very bad service. On website and customer care says that it easy to convert you prepaid sim-card to esim in any store, but when you come, and managers know that you have a prepaid tariff they just say that it is out of stock and ret rid of you, push you out of the store. The same in all stores. You lose your time and managers doesnt care. Also all managers just try to get extra money on you, And completely not interested conditions and prices on official website and customer cares. It is completely different worlds: what marketing and ads announce and what specialists do in store. It would be good for Vodafone to check their services with mystery shoppers and as well make automatic generation qr codes for esims online or in apps, as modern tech companies do in other countries and as do competitors

One of the worst ever telcom companies…

One of the worst ever telcom companies in Spain.
A telcom company needs to compromise and deliver a service and agreed price. It´s easy. Not very demanding.
I enjoyed 6 years of a decent service with them. I even recruited 5 clients for them among my relatives and friends. Price was very good and service (phone+internet) was OK.
When I moved into a different location 100km away everything changed. Although reassuring that nothing would change, everything did.
- My price went from 30-40€/monthly into 54€ which was ok since I added an additional cell line. But 3-months later it jumped into 128€/month because they deleted all my benefits and discounts. It took me 4 months and more than 15-hours calls to stopped them and recover the money they took from me. But now my monthly rate was 72€/month. For the next 10-months there was extra-invoicing and several mistakes every second month which took me on the phone an average of 5 to 6 hours per month.
Obviously I decided to quit.
I called them to advise them about me leaving. They would not even try to keep me after 8-9 years as a loyal customer.
I changed to Movistar and phoned Vodafone after to make sure ALL lines and services where down.
For my surprise they started charging 11€/month for third line. I phoned them to tell that this charge was wrong, I had no third line so delete the 2-months charged. They did not reply (1-sec miss-call) and starting threating and menacing me to pay the 22€. i told them I had a call with them to confirm everything was down and they erased that call and demanded to pay for a service I did not had. After few days I decided to close this issue because they are a giant and I had all chances to lose. I went to pay 5 days later and they already demanded 48€.
What kind of interest is that????
They are thieves and they play with you.
NEVER gonna trust vodafone again.
I recommend you not to.
Better paying a bit more and having a much trustworthy company
