The staff were helpful, polite & caring. My questions were answered with clarity. My examination was very professional.

I arrived 5 minutes before my appointment, I was duly welcomed at the reception desk and checked in, almost immediately I was called through and greeted by a new optometrist, he introduced himself and then explained the procedure that we would be taking and after the tests, he clearly explained the results to me.
I was then seen by a second member of staff to complete my examination.
From start to finish everything ran smoothly, the staff were professional, polite and informative. I would highly recommend them.

Would have fallen for this in my earlier more naive years but not today. So this so-called "optometrist" with his white coat tells me all this guff about my eyes, making absolutely sure, per his trainIng, to get the shock-words "glaucoma" and "cateracts" into his spiel without saying I've got them (because I haven't) but to scare me enough before turfing me over to the sales assistant who says the optometrist recommends this and I should have that and before I know it there are boxes of medication on her desk ready for me, "we need these frames...cheaper ones? Ooh I'm not sure we have any of those, oh and we need to thin down the lenses, oh and we need to do this and we need to do that and as soon as she'd racked up over £400 in costs (I can get a pair of glasses at Boots for a tenner) I picked up my bag and walked out. This was a straight up and down fleecing job. They were trying to wrangle as much money out of me as they possibly could, didn't give a damn about my welfare at all, just sales sales sales. This is why people have no money. You just get butchered everywhere you go. A few doors down in the shopping mall some clothier is selling jeans - no price tag on the shelf of course, sales assistant wriggles out of the question saying she's not sure, they'll tell you at the counter. Exactly : You only get told they're £200 a pair at the counter after they've rung it up into the til because they're hoping you're too embarrassed to reject it and march out. Wrong again ! Unbelievable.

Very welcoming staff who explained what each eye test was for. Everyone was very professional and helpful. Very thorough eye test and advice on choice on suitable glasses.

I was told my eyesight for driving etc was marginally poor.
I don't have a problem with long distance vision and I definitely do not have a problem when driving.
I was told as my sight was marginal I needed glasses for driving.
I was directed to the glasses frame section and looked at frames for £25. Took a pair to the assistant who said they were £65 plus lenses etc amounting to a cost of £130+.
I said I'll have to think about it. I asked for my results and after a good few minutes the assistant gave them to me.
I can read a number plate from the required distance and have no trouble seeing long distance objects etc.
I felt pressured to buy what I do not need at this time. I will go elsewhere next time due to the pressure tactics of this company.

Eye test all good but, I booked the glasses and contact ones. Literally felt rushed trying to put contact lenses in. The room I was in was the main one for eye tests, therefore people was waiting. Bout 5 mins I was there for, then being told I have to pay for another try next time. They don’t give enough time. Clearly profit only driven. Good they give refunds on new prescriptions as thinking of doing just that. Chichester

Had a great experience at Cardiff Tesco Extra branch of Vision Express. It was my first visit and I will definitely return for my next examination. All of the staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. I should like to thank Ayat in particular. She was extremely thorough and informative and I felt that she really cared about getting me fixed up with the best solutions for my eyes.

I had a problem with the vari focals and di not realise I could exchange them for just distance glasses and the ladie who sorted it all was brilliant friendly pleasant and very efficient fantastic thank you 💝😊😊

I visited the Greenock Store today. Rehan and his team were exceptional. I received expert advice regarding my eyecare plan and I look forward to seeing them all again when I pick up my new glasses.
