Perfect hamper and on time
Perfect hamper and delivered on time. Just what was needed.
Repeat custom guaranteed
I placed my 3rd order for a hamper as a gift for family members leading up to Christmas.
Delivery is always prompt and the contents are always well packaged and arrive in perfect condition.
The products are beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. I will definitely be placing further orders in the future.
Great Hampers, Brilliant Service
The hampers were excellent quality and were delivered promptly. Delivery was One short, but this was impressively and immediately rectified with a next-day delivery despite being right before Christmas"! Excellent responsiveness, well done to the VH team!
Customer service Excellent
Customer service Excellent. Had a hamper disappear with Evri. This fab company sent one out, the next day it arrived. You do not get that kind of service often I shall defo use them again. no problem. So thank you again and a very happy New Year to you all.
I wasn't expecting that a delivery time…
I wasn't expecting that a delivery time will increase significantly. I checked the delivery options since this was important for me. At the end, the delivery was made much later than the website said. So the original delivery time was Dec, 31st. And after placing the order I got an update via email that it will only be delivered after Jan, 5th which was unexpected and upsetting.

No longer trust Virginia Hayward
I have previously ordered hampers, for several years now, and hadn't previously had a problem. However,......
Having ordered a Hamper for Christmas (for my mum who is 98) on October 10, I received an email from Virginia Hayward on 18/12 notifying me that the order is complete, which it showed on the website likewise. I therefore assumed all was well. Wrong....
Expecting a message from my mum thanking me, I was getting a little concerned at having heard nothing, knowing she would let me know as she has always done previously. The message never came.
By now, December 24 (Christmas eve) morning I was becoming concerned, so again checking the website, it showed order complete / delivered. Knowing it hadn't, I checked 'tracking' To my horror, there was a message from the Courier to contact the sender, further noting that the item had been damaged so couldn't be delivered. Can you guess who VH used for delivery.......?
EVRI (I'm groaning as I'm typing). Whilst I cannot be certain what happened, EVRI have form for this kind of thing, often stolen or just dumped etc. So now it's Christmas Eve and no hamper for Christmas. Irrespective of how or why the delivery never happened, I would have been a little more accepting of a problem had I been notified, and not having VH marking as completed. This could have been a situation where it was just assumed all was fine, and maybe never finding out about non-delivery.
I phoned VH as soon as I was aware of this. One thing, at least the phone was answered in a timely manner. I explained the situation, and that I was particularly upset that I only found out by going back on to the website and checking tracking, and also that it was for my mum who is 98. I also noted that I hadn't had problems previously, but they have obviously started using EVRI, and had I known that, I would have gone elsewhere. I was advised that they are under contract to EVRI, but also use other couriers. I made it clear that I would now not accept a replacement if they were going to use EVRI for it, but was advised it would be by FedEx, and would be delivered 30/12, which I reluctantly accepted. Whilst the person I spoke to wasn't in any way unhelpful, they didn't seem particularly empathetic, and if I'm honest, I would have at least expected a partial refund because of this. However, tht's neither here nor there. I requested a confirmation email of the replacement and that it was to be delivered by FedEx (anyone but EVRI), which I received.
Fast forward to 30/12, I had received no further notification, no confirmation of despatch, no notification of being out for delivery etc; or update to website, so had to phone again, being naturally concerned. Again, phone answered quickly (only reason for 2 stars instead of 1), and it was confirmed that it was being delivered (which it was later that day). Talking about rubbing salt in the wounds though (no tracking etc).......
Unfortunately, I no longer feel confident or comfortable to order from VH again (after several years), so I'm afraid it's back to M&S for me. It's all very well shaving a little off of overheads, but very shortsighted if you lose loyal custom because of it.
FURTHER COMMENT following reply. Quite frankly, I found VH response rather curt and dismissive, the inference being that it was my own fault for not paying the extra for named day delivery, and that if you don't pay a bit more, you get substandard delivery. There was no mention of their using EVRI (in spite of the response implying that). I didn't specify named day for the simple reason that, particularly having ordered in early October, I didn't NEED a specified day. My mum is 98, and housebound. To add that I could have requested the updates / tracking / confirmation details that are standard with every other merchant I have dealt with for this kind of order is frankly insulting. I now know I have nade the right decision to never use VH again.

Great to have been able to contrive an impromptu present for delivery on New Year's eve. And at short notice. Many thanks.
Highly recommend!
Ordered hampers for family for last 3 years and never had a problem. This year got one for myself and have to say the quality was amazing. Will continue to use and highly recommend. Hampers have always arrived as promised.

The ease of ordering
The ease of ordering, the quality of the product and delivery on the scheduled day. The recepients were greatly pleased with the variety and quality of the hampers.
Tasty and speedy delivery
Excellent service - we both sent and received a hamper. Ours was great and we enjoyed the contents very much, the caramel shortbread was really delicious. We sent a cheese one which was also great
Disappointed with the policy regarding…
Disappointed with the policy regarding failed delivery. One of my hampers was returned due to three failed delivery attempts and my only option was to pay £7.50 for redelivery or get 50% voucher. I appreciate it is not the sender's fault but it is not mine either - I especially think the 50% voucher is a bit insulting, the percentage should be higher. Maybe my fault for not knowing this before purchase, but I shan't be using them again.

Hamper never received
I ordered a port and wine hamper, they sent out just a cheese hamper. I ordered it just prior to Christmas to ensure my elderly dad received it in time. I emailed to explain, had to send photos etc which was a pain as had to go over to do this as he can't do it himself, then they got back in touch after Christmas admitting the error and promising the correct one would be sent out by New Year's Eve. On New Year's Eve I receive an email to say it won't be sent out as there has been another error and offering a refund, so my dad never got his Christmas gift. Really shoddy customer service, won't be using this company again.

Excellent hamper with high-quality products and nicely gift-packed to impress. My recipient enjoyed both receiving it and tasting all included in the hamper. Delivered on time too as agreed which is important around Christmas period.
Brought a Christmas hamper
Brought a Christmas hamper - great value for money, well packaged in a lovely gift box. I keep returning year after year to purchase hampers at Christmas because they are great.
Not delivered on date asked for
Ordered my daughter a hamper as we would not be seeing her at Christmas. Set delivery for Christmas eve. Daughter waited in all day and we thought great she is getting a nice treat. FedEx site was showing as in depot. Fantastic we thought. Got a little concerned around 2pm when FedEx site was saying still not out for delivery. Did the chat it. It said it would be delivered by 6,pm. 6pm came and went then got a message from FedEx saying it would not be delivered until 39/12/3025. No one in at hamper company FedEx closed for Christmas. Daughters surprise ruined
