The service my husband and I have received from Ian and his team over the years has always been exemplary. No longer residing in Wellington, we still continue to engage the Village Goldsmith knowing with absolute certainty that the fine craftsmanship and exceptional service we have always received remains consistent.

My most recent visits have been testament to this with the re-sizing of my late mother’s wedding ring; Ian allayed the fear my late mother always had that the pattern on the wedding band and the engraving on the inside would undoubtedly be compromised… however, I had always had the utmost confidence that Ian was The craftsman who would ultimately ensure the perfect result and he was! Ian re-sized the wedding ring to ensure that both the pattern and engraving were completely untouched. Now I can enjoy wearing my late mother’s wedding ring and know how thrilled she’d be!

We've bought two really important rings from the Village Goldsmith, and the service and the care, the love the staff obviously have for their jobs and their customers, was just amazing.

Apart from the fact that we now have two absolutely stunning rings to start the next chapter of our lives together, the way staff worked with us actually really added to the whole experience.

The service is genuine. The team try to understand where you are coming from and do not try to just 'sell you' something. The designs are also quite unique which was perfect for our wedding rings.

The Village Goldsmith is a fantastic, high quality jewelry shop. Not only do they have a wide range of jewelry but also can customise it to your requirements. They did my engagement ring and customised the wedding band. It looks absolutely amazing and my husband and I love them very much. I'll definitely go back for more jewelry!!! The Village Goldsmith is an incredible place, and my experience with designing an engagement ring went beyond all expectations. From the day my partner and I first went in and met with Ben (with a very specific idea in mind), to the day my ring was ready, they kept me informed and responded straight away to any questions. I was so excited to get my ring, and the entire process only took three weeks from the date I picked out the gemstone. The final product feels even more special knowing it was handcrafted by a fabulous Wellington institution and I can't thank Ben enough. I'll be back for my wedding ring, without a doubt!

I received great advice, with regards to how I could adapt/update my existing jewellery. I felt very comfortable with the time that was taken, never did i feel rushed.My jewellery consultant, Anna, was a true gem, who took the time to better understand my jewellery wishes. Tried to get a ring I brought from the village goldsmith years ago altered at a jeweller in the town I now live but they told me it couldn’t be done how I wanted. Went to the village goldsmith next time I was in Wellington and it wasn’t a problem at all. They very kindly couriered it to me when it was done too. The staff were lovely to deal with and my ring turned out perfect again. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

My ring is GORGEOUS! The service was impeccable. The store was beautiful, inviting and intriguing. And now I want to design fine jewellery for a living! Talk about spark a passion in someone!
